Jennifer turned to Ash when he answered her about the refreshments, half were gone already from people waiting patiently for the opening in five minutes.
"Alright. Well I do anything and everything. I also do requests, so if you want something specific you can always ask, and we can sit down and plan it together" she smiled, knowing she was the only shop who provided this service, and hopefully she would stay the original.
"So if you ever want anything made, just come to me" she gave Ash a friendly wink and a nudge with her elbow. Sighing, she had a pair of scissors in her hand, and kept fiddling with the handle.
"Daniel, I wondered if you would like to do the honours?" she smiled, handing over the scissors.
"Afterall, it's not the same if I just cut the ribbon myself, some sort of celebrity has to do it, and you seem to be very popular with the ladies, and students of hogwarts" she grinned cheekily.

Ash smiled, "I'll remember that. Seems like the store is already pretty popular." He stared thoughtfully into space, "I was wondering... I want to open up my own store after I graduate next year, so I was wondering if myabe there were any apprentice-ship positions available for this year? You know, so I can get some experience?"

Jennifer looked back to Ash, who asked about an Apprenticeship.
She raised her eyebrows, and thinking about it, it would be a good idea, she wouldn't be alone all the time, and she'd get to pass on her skills to someone else.
"I think we can sort something out for you, Ash" she smiled friendly, pulling him into a hug.
"I'd gladly take you on, although I think you may need to tell Hogwarts about it though. Would he, Dan?" she asked. Shaking her head and forgetting it for now, she continued.
"Yeah, Okay. Do you want to start now? You can learn the till work and general shop duties, then I can start showing you the real fun tommorow" she grinned. It was pretty exciting that Ash wanted to open his own clothing store.

Jennifer smiled. Of course, school schedule.
"Well, You can always do four hours after school for 2 days a week? Then do a saturday morning with me?" she said, thinking hard about this. If this was what he wanted to pursue then it was important to get experience, but she didn't want to ruin his schooling.

Jennifer thought about it for a moment, putting her finger up in thought to her pouted lips.
"Hmm...Any two days you want, it could vary from each week, just come whenever your free, as long as you come for 4 hours at a time, but you'll have to come in on saturday" she smiled.

The blush was all Dan needed to see to satisfy himself for now, there used to be a time when Dan Hubbles lived to see a pink flush spread over the cheeks of a female he was trying to charm and although now it was still a pleasant site he new his life did not depend upon it. Now he was just happy to see a smile fill her face and the look of pride Jennifer had on her face from just the thought about her hard work she had put into her shop.
“Well the hard work and ruined clothes were worth it.” Dan commented as he looked at the exterior of the shop once again before he offered his own assistance to Jennifer. “Well if we get a quite moment I might be able to help you out their, I mean I am the Charms professor after all.”
He gave her a cheeky wink and listened to Jennifer’s conversation with Ashton finding it quite interesting that the young Ravenclaw wanted to set up his own shop. For some reason he did seem the type, confident, bold and willing to take a risk. However Dan was slightly taken aback when Jennifer asked him to cut the ribbon, he was so gob smacked that he missed her question about if it was ok for Ashton to work at the shop in his free time. With wide eyes and blinking a few times Dan ran his hand through his hair and waited for the others to finish their conversation before answering.
“If you want me to then I will…but I mean it is your shop…”

Jennifer turned back to Dan and smiled.
"I would like nothing more than for you to open my shop, after all, your the first person who really befriended me here" she smiled sweetly.
Putting her hands together and entwining them, she stood up on her tiptoes before rolling back onto her heels. She looked at the clock at the far end of Hogsmeade and smiled. It was time.
"Are you ready?" She asked Dan as she stepped to one side, and being small, stept onto a small wooden crate to heighten herself. The crowd that gathered had become huge. Coughing, she got ready to project her voice.
"Welcome everyone, to Queen's Apparel! I'm Jennifer, I am owner of this store. I'm pleased to announce somebody you may all know, Professor Daniel Hubbles to cut the ribbon!" she said starting the clapping. She climbed down from the crate and stood next to the door.

It was a very sweet compliment, the thought that he had been the her first friend since coming to Hogsmeade was indeed nice but he did not believe it qualified him to cut the ribbon. But he seemed to have very little time to complain as the comically large scissors were thrust into his hands and Jennifer was soon shouting out to the crowds that had gathered that he would be opening the shop. With a nervous smile and a timid wave Dan looked around at the eager eyes of the villages and he was only thankful that there was no press present otherwise he knew he would not live this whole incident down with the whole of the Hufflepuff common room let alone Girty.
Trying to find some form of courage Dan walked towards the golden ribbon that was blocking the entrance to the shop and he stood opposite Jennifer. He found her smile some what reassuring and as his trembling hands gripped the handle tightly Dan looked around at the crowd knowing he would have to say something to mark such an opening.
“Erm…it…it is my great honour to open this shop and…erm…may it be prosperous and last for many years to come.”
Not the best speech ever made and Dan was surprised how nervous he got but he focused all this nervous energy into snipping the ribbon into and watching the half of the gold material float to the ground. Looking over at Jennifer with a look of almost apology for his lame speech Dan stepped to one side so that the owner of the shop and the rest of the customers could make their way inside.

Jennifer was grinning all throughout Dan's small speech. She could tell her was nervous, and narrowed her eyebrows in sympathy, she never realised he would be so shaken by it. She felt a little guilty about what she just made him do, and as she opened the door and the customers flooded in, she leant over to him and placed a friendly hand on top of his and mouthed 'I'm sorry' with a dramatic sad face to him. Entering her shop, she made her way over to the counter and watched as the customers shopped around. She beckoned Dan over with a big hand gesture and smiled at him.

Ash snickered quietly behind his hand. Who would've known that Professor Hubbles could be nervous!? He looked around at the crowd, searching for the familiar faces of Cris and Alexa. And his sister as well. He had told them that the store was opening and he was going to go check it out. Hopefully they would arrive soon.

Cristian ran all the way to Hogsmeade, panting, he realised he was late. Ash would be pissed. He saw from afar what looked like the Charms Professor cutting the ribbon, and everybody enter. Smiling, he ran up to Ash and patted him on the back.
"Hey, sorry i'm late"

Ash turned and glared at Cris, "Where have you been!?" he kept the glare on his face for awhile, then a grin broke out on his face as he leaned in and hugged Cris. "Seriously, what took you so long?" he asked.
