Feeling the warmth of the sun against her cheeks, a smile creased her lips and glanced down at the sidewalk as she made her way down the street. Where was she going to go? There were so many places she could go and yet she couldn't decide. It was like her to do this sometimes. Pushing her hands in the pockets of her black dress pants, Ilea looked out and over the heads of some of the others whom were out at this time of day. It was definitely a beautiful day and she wasn't going to miss out on it.
Hearing parts of conversations of the crowd only made the young woman smile even wider, they seemed to be excited to have such a nice day to do whatever they needed to do. Then she heard someone make mention of going to the Three Broomsticks for a drink, now the last time she went for a drink she ended up so drunk she didn't remember what happened. That wasn't going to happen this time, she was going to have at the very least two and then drink something else.
Pulling her mind out of her thoughts, Ilea glanced over at the sign for the Three Broomsticks and began to head that way. Crossing the street with caution, she could hear her heels clicking against the cobblestone street, once she was on the side walk she felt so much better. Sometimes she hated crossing the road especially when people were in such a hurry. Using the railing as she walked up the steps and opened the door to the tavern, she glanced in and around the place then proceeded in towards the bar.
For an early afternoon the place was packed and not a single seat was available to sit at, well except one. Upon ordering her drink, which she ordered fire whiskey, the drink was served to her quickly. This was sort of a surprise to see how quickly Madam Rosmerta was quick to serve, turning her head only to see a table open up. Ilea made her way over trying not to knock into people as she walked, it didn't take her long to get to the seat. But just as she made it there, two people had beat her too it. A sigh escaped her lips as she turned to see the seat beside her empty and sat down.

After being the Occlumency teacher at Hogwarts for the last two weeks, Will had finally got a day off. Glad of the fact, he looked out his window to see what the weather was like. Feeling the warmth of the sun blaze through the window, he knew it would stay a good day all day. Wearing his usual muggle clothing, he stuck on a pair of faded jeans and a t-shir. Deciding not to take a jacket with him, he walked out of the castle, and down to Hogsmeade to go and have a beer before getting some shopping for the first time since he arrived.
Greeting some new faces to him, and some students from the school, he smiled and walked down the long path into hogsmeade. Taking in the great weather, he stretched and yawned in the fresh air. Reaching his destination,, he walked into the Three Broomsticks, letting the door fall back on it’s own. With his hand in his pocket, he took a quick glance around to see it was cram packed full for the first time in a while. Seeing a woman on her own, and a spare seat next to her, he walked over to the bar and ordered a beer. Within seconds, it had appeared and he paid her thankfully before clearing his throat. Staying at the crowded bar for a moment, he realised he needed to get to a seat if he wanted a relaxing drink, so picking up his drink he walked over to the woman.
“Excuse me, Is it alright if I sit here?” he asked politely, pointing at the empty chair opposite her. Clutching onto his glass, he waited for her answer before he rudely sat down. He had never seen the woman before, so he guessed she didn’t work at the school.

Ilea sat there with her drink in hand just gazing out the window. Watching people walk by doing their daily shopping, people were harsh when they gathered items. The last time she went shopping some woman came up and grabbed last item off the shelf, another woman decided she needed the very same item and they started arguing. She ended up snatching it out of their hands and bought it so that they would stop arguing. Some people knew who she was and rarely messed with her, being a Hit witch, it was fun but difficult doing her job. Shaking her head slightly, she took a sip of her drink and placed it back on the table then glanced around the tavern. She knew a few people, but really didn't feel like intruding on their conversation, so she kept to herself.
Turning her head back toward the window to enjoy the sunshine and the green grass along the sidewalks. It was absolutely beautiful out, yet here she was in a tavern and drinking when she could be out enjoying it. A sigh escaped her lips and turned her attention toward the game of Quidditch, it was the Bulgarians against the Irish in a rematch from the prior week. Taking a drink of her fire whiskey, she leaned back in her chair and listened to what was going on with the game. She was a Quidditch lover, but of course, who wasn't and if there wasn't one it was a rarity in this town. Ilea noticed someone walking toward the area she was in and looked at the man before turning back to the game. Ilea heard the man and turned back to look at him then glanced at the chair he was pointing at, it took a second for it to register that he wanted to sit down.
"Oh sure," she said with a smile as she sat up in her chair. "Sorry I was enjoying the game of Quidditch that I must have been a bit dazed." she explained and pointed to the game on the screen. Deciding to shut her mouth before she made a fool of herself, she glanced down at her near empty glass and took a drink from it. Looking back up at the gentleman who was sitting across from her, she held her hand out and introduced herself "Ilea McGregor, I work for the Ministry." she smiled with a small tilt of her head. Eh wasn't the best start of a conversation but she tried.

Will smiled as the woman seemed to of taken a few seconds to register in her head what had just escaped his lips. Sitting down, he turned around to have a quick glance at the tv and look at the score. The Bulgarians were fearse players, and even though Will didn’t support either team, he found himself leaning towards wanting the them to win. Turning back to see the woman extending her hand, he set his glass down but still had his hand wrapped around it, and pulled his hand up from his lap to greet the woman he now knew as Ilea.
“Well, Hello Ilea, I’m Will Vaid, new Occlumency professor at the school” he said, nodding to the direction of the castle, even though he knew she would know where it was. Suddenly a big cheer came from boisterous men scattered all around the pub which made Will jump a little and turn around to see the Bulgarians celebrating rather obnoxiously. He couldn’t help but smirk at their pure cheekiness. Looking around the bar, men were celebrating and hugging, even high fiving their friends, and rubbing it in the Irish supporters faces that they were now losing. Many of the Irish fans sat looking glum with their heads in their hands.
“So who are you supporting then?” He asked as he turned his head back around to the Brunette. Leaning back in his chair, he realised the woman was almost out of drink. Tutting to himself, he shook his head and leant forward, proping himself up on the table and standing up.
“Same again?” he asked, not even talking no for an answer, he was basically at the bar getting another firewhiskey for her before she could answer. A few seconds passed before he came back over with the glass and placed it gently, trying not to spill any, infront of her and giving her a small smile. Sitting back down, he turned himself so he could see the match quickly, before turning back around to Ilea and awaiting her answer.

For the moment, Ilea felt a bit embarassed but that soon subsided when she caught the smile upon his face. Watching as he sat down, she turned her attention back to the tv screen checking to see what was going on, she was hoping that the Bulgarians would win. Being a fan of theirs since she could remember, she always watched the games and even went to see them in action right before her eyes. Talk about a thrill. Returning her attention back to the man before her, Ilea soon realized she hadn't introduced herself and did just that. In extending her hand out to greet the man, she smiled when he in turn introduced himself as well. "Pleasure to meet you Professor. Or what would you prefer I call you?" she inquired.
Some preferred to be called by their title, some by their first name and then you have those who seek the more respectful manner. So just to be safe, she figured she'd ask. Jumping slightly herself from the loud cheer, Ilea glanced over noticing that the Bulgarians had scored and smiled proudly at her team. The Irish had what was coming to them and no one stood a chance against the Bulgarians. The woman smirked seeing the looks upon the many faces of the Irish fans, they looked disappointed but oh well. When Will asked her who she was supporting, Ilea smiled wider "Bulgarians, of course." she expressed happily. As the Professor stood, Ilea's first thought was if she said or did something wrong, however, his question to her said otherwise.
Before she was about to agree he had left making his way towards the bar. "Huh..." she raised her eyebrow in surprise. "That was nice of him." she thought to herself. Sitting back in her chair, she watched bits and pieces of the game though often checking to see him return. Not moments later, he did. Ilea sat up in her chair as he placed the glass in front of her. Gazing up at him, she returned the smile "Yes, but you didn't have to do that. Thank you though." she stated still with the smile lingering upon her lips. "So, who are you supporting?" she asked picking the glass up and taking a sip of it before placing it back down on the table again. How on Earth did she get lucky to meet a nice and good looking guy like Will? And a Quidditch lover too? Ilea didn't know, but wasn't going to argue with it either.

As Will returned to the table where Ilea sat, he flashed her a smile as he set the drink down infront of her and was confronted with a thank you.
"You can call me Will, or Professor. That sounds rather appealing I must say" he gave a big grinShe the asked who he was supporting and he simply pointed at her drink. "Let's just say if you were an Irish fan, I wouldn't of bought you that" he laughed, obviously joking. He would of bought her the drink anyway. Sipping his beer again, he didn't take his eyes off Ilea until his glass was set back down on the table. Her eyes were stunning and seemed to have some sort of dangerous sparkle in them, which made Will wonder what exactly she did for a job.
"So what do you do exactly at the ministry?" he asked in a polite manner. Giving a quick glance outside, he saw it was getting hot, and the heat poured into through the pub windows, suddenly making him hot. Standing up, he took off his jacket quickly before dropping it on the back of the chair and sitting back down again.

Nodding her head to his preference "Ok...I think I'll call you Professor, at least till we are better acquainted." Ilea said, she only called her friends and close collegues by their first name and showed respect for those whom she hardly knew. They began to talk about who they were supporting and chuckled at his comment. "I see. Then I suppose I'd be out of luck on that one eh?" Taking a quick glance at the score on the tv, she turned her attention back to Will "I still thank you for the drink but you must allow me to buy your next one." she said as a smile began to crease her lips.
Picking the glass up, Ilea took a sip letting the amber liquid warm her throat down to her stomach. She had to admit, there wasn't anything like having a nice drink after work. At least the man before her had a sense of humor and that was something that was rare to find now a days. Ilea sat there across from him, trying to read him. Most would probably gather that she was checking him out, but she had already done that and every now and a glance she would look at him giving him one of her sweet smiles. Ilea glanced up from her glass to look at Will when he had asked specifically what she did at the Ministry. "Well...." she paused as she sat up in her chair and leaned over the table and placed her chin upon her hands.
"I'm a Hit Witch, I go get the bad guys and bring them in." she said with pride but quietly. She loved her job and wasn't ashamed of it, the only thing was, was that she had to keep it on a down low. Otherwise, if word got back to any of the troublemakers what she was, it could jeopardize her safety and the safety of her crew. "I love what I do, it's what I live for, the thrill of action at my fingertips. Yeah, I'm married to my job." she laughed. Eh it was true, she had a lot of time on her hands so she worked a lot. She didn't have anyone to go home to, so she couldn't devote her time to that. However, if a possible someone does end up coming into her life, she would devote her time equally.

Will smiled at her preference of name for him. He couldn’t help but think it was quite cool to finally be called a Professor after all these years of him trying to get that title. For it to be heard from the mouth of a beautiful woman instead of students sounded like a blessing, and Will gave a small nod, more to rectify the fact that he was now in the profession he’d been longing for. Picking up his drink to take a long gulp, she made him cough on it when she said she would have to buy the next one. Setting the glass down quickly, he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand before giving a small laugh. Typical Will, always doing something stupid by accident.
“No, I won’t hear of it” he simply said. He then realised that maybe what he said could offend her. A lot of women had thought chivalry was dead, or simply felt than men buying the drinks wasn’t independant enough. Either way he felt he should apologise.
“Sorry if you think i’m being rude. It’s just that, I don’t think you should pay for your drinks since I sat here and ruined your peace, and obstructed your view of the game” he gave a small apologetic smile and hope she would accept it. He realised he was obstructing her view, so shifted his chair a little to the side so she could see easier, and so he could too. Giving a quick glance to the TV, a few cheers came from the Irish supporters, when an Irish beater hit a Bulgarian in the chest with a bludger. Will pulled a cringed face at the pain the Bulgarian was feeling before turning back to Ilea, with the cringing face still in view.
“That’s got to of hurt” he said before a strange sound passed his lips that indicated the level of pain followed by a small manly laugh. Ilea then said she was a hit witch, and Will could feel his eyebrows raise high and he shifted his position so he was propped up on the table with one of his elbows and his chin in his hand. An interesting job for a woman to say the least, and it made more of an appeal to Ilea, not that there was much room for any more appeal.
“Wow, a beautiful woman in an exciting and dangerous job. Your making me look bad” he grinned. Wait. Did I just say to her she was beautiful? Damn it! Think before you speak Will, this is how you get yourself in these situations. Stupid, stupid, stupid man. Mentally scolding himself, he frowned inwardly before looking back at Ilea and giving a blushing smile. He was just glad that he didn’t have the skin that blushed, that seemed to of faded with his old geeky student self.

Ilea couldn't help but to laugh when she heard Will cough to her statement. But as he began to speak, she listened intently to him and his reasons behind why he refused. "Honestly, I was getting quite bored being by myself, so you just make the scenery so much nicer." she explained to him with somewhat of a flirtatious tone in her voice, but she was being honest. So chivalry wasn't dead after all, there were a few good men out there and that included Will. "And no need to apologize for it."
Watching him shift himself and his chair so that she could see, the game at this point didn't really matter much to her anymore. She had found Will to be much more interesting. The sudden cheer of the Irish fans made Ilea jump because she was more focused on the man in front of her. Glancing over at the tv, she winced as she saw what happened. Returning her gaze back to Will, she saw his expression and nodded to his statement. "Yeah, I'd say so." she said swallowing hard. Picking her glass up, she took a quick drink and placed it back upon the table.
As Ilea told him exactly what she did for the Ministry, she watched his movements and the expression upon his face. A smile creased her lips when he had called her beautiful and took note of it as well. Yes, it took her by surprise, but it was a pleasant one. "Your job sounds fun, maybe not quite as dangerous, but exciting I'm sure." Ilea had always wanted to be a Professor, though being a Hit Witch was what she did best. Especially with all the energy she had. Ilea watched Will thoughtfully for a few moments, smiling ear to ear and surely blushing at his previous comment about her appearance.
That was the first time in a long time that she has been complimented and it felt nice to be taken notice of. Taking her drink in hand, she placed the rim of the glass to her lips before tilting it back slightly and felt the warm liquid rush into her mouth. As she swallowed it, the warmth filled her within, still with the compliment he gave her in mind, she felt her cheeks warm and turned to face the window. Glancing outside to see a couple walking along hand in hand, she sighed softly while her the oncoming thoughts of her future began to surface. Returning her gaze to Will, she smiled and asked "So why did you want to become a Professor?"

Will couldn’t help but laugh along with Ilea as she laughed at him. Her laugh was womanly, yet cute, and it made Will smile. Taking note of her flirtatious tone, he didn’t really know what to say back.
“Well, as long as your sure about the scenery, I’ll keep the drinks coming”. Did I, William Robert Vaid, just flirt back? What has gotten into me? He thought. Shrugging off his thoughts, he focused his attention back to Ilea.
“There is always need to apologize. If i’ve learnt anything over the years, it’s that women are always right” he grinned cheekily. The bad thing was, it was true. Women were always right. They always had this need or want to help people and do the best for them. He’d never met a woman yet who didn’t try to better someone else, even if it was in a strange way. That’s why women always made such good mothers, nurses, and teachers. Always wanting to help and do the best.
Moving his hair away from his eyes lightly, he waited a moment before answering her question about his job being fun. “You could say that. It’d quite disturbing to get twenty chocolate frogs on your desk every morning for a week though from the Professor Vaid fan club” he smiled.
“And i’ve only been a professor here for two weeks!” He inwardly cursed Daniel Hubbles for telling a fan girl that he enjoyed them and was amused by them. He’d get him back, even if he had to pretend to give presents from his favourite fan, Sandra. Just then, he got a flash of a couple holding hands, and his head turned to see the image he had in mind with the same couple walking past the window. Giving a quick glance to Ilea, he noticed she was watching them, before she turned back to him. “Well, i’m sure your job keeps you on your toes” he smirked. “I don’t know really. I’m muggleborn, and I never really got the hang of all the magic stuff, I did to an average extent, but nothing major. I then decided to try Occlumency, and I somehow excelled at it.” He smiled. “So what about you? What made you want to become a hit witch?”

She wasn't really laughing at him, but his expression was pretty funny to say the least. Ilea raised her eyebrows to his comment and smiled "I'm not going to argue, though yes, the scenery I'm definately sure about." she teased, yet very true. Did he just flirt back?" she asked herself mentally. Taken back by his comment, she assured him "Not all the time though, there have been numerous occasions that I have been wrong." she replied barely tilting her head to the left.
If she's learned anything over the years, men and women equally are not perfect and therefore mistakes happen. Running her finger around the rim of the glass in front of her, she kept her focus upon Will. She liked him, no doubt. He was a gentleman which was a rarity to find now a days, intelligent, charming and very handsome. Ilea couldn't understand how she was the lucky one to have met him, leaning forward in her chair and placed her arms on the table for support, she listened as Will spoke.
Hearing about his fan club made her laugh "That's cute though. Your students must really love you to death, or think you're the hottest Professor in the school." Ilea again teased, heck even she thought he was good looking so she could concur with the rest of the fans. Will had made mention that he had only been a Professor for two weeks, Ilea straightened her head and sat upright "I'm sure things will get better in time." she said thoughtfully. A smile graced her lips as she glanced down at her drink, then turned her attention to the window as a couple passed by.
Still a bit lost in thought, she heard Will's statement and looked at him blankly at first. "Oh, yeah it does. I love it though." she grinned cheekily. Thoughts of her first time being a Hit Witch came to mind and all the memories that followed, she had a blast. Listening to Will as he spoke and when he finished she replied "Well we all excel at the things we are less to think we would. It just proves that most of us are more intelligent than we give ourselves credit for." Ilea knew that for a fact, she didn't think she was good enough at what she did, but truth be told she was one of the best in the Ministry from what she was told.
Will's question didn't surprise her really, she sort of expected it when she asked about his profession. "Honestly, I wanted to protect the people of the Wizarding World from all the bad guys." she said leaning back in her chair, "Being able to have the satisfaction knowing that criminals are in Azkaban being punished for their crimes and knowing that people can be at ease." she added as she brushed a few strands of her hair out of her face.

Will gave Ilea a flirtatious smile when she admitted that the scenery was good. Should I say it back? Ah, to hell with it.
“My view’s not so bad either” he said straight faced for a moment before a small smile crept across his lips before he blocked his smile with his glass. He was such a sucker for a pretty face, but he was never normally this forward with women. Usually he stuttered and ended up falling over or ended up with something on his face. That was Will all over. Inside he was a geek who didn’t know how to talk to women, but for some reason he was doing okay with Ilea.
“Ha, well, I’m not quite sure about them loving me to death. I’m still getting used to the Title of Professor so I don’t know whether the kids are being friendly or nosey” he chuckled. As Ilea spoke again about being a Hit witch, he could feel the happiness and job satisfaction the job brought to her. It radiated from her voice, and she was obviously proud that she was a wizarding world protector.
“I’m sure you’ve got a lot of funny stories under your belt, and i’m sure you’re a credit to the Ministry” he laughed. It was one of those jobs that had to have funny stories that came with it, how could it not? Arresting crazy people and what not, there was always going to be funny situations you landed yourself in, Will was sure of it. He supposed it was part of the job that kept you light-hearted.
Okay, so now what Will? Are you just going to sit in silence? Come on, be daring, she’s a lovely woman! “So what are you up to tomorrow?”

Ilea couldn't help but not noticed the smile that Will gave her, this just proved to her that he was flirting back. His comment also verified the thoughts she had as well Sitting back in the chair a little, Ilea lifted her drink to her lips and took a drink while watching him through the glass. There were so many things that she already liked about him, not just physically but through his personality as well. As Will spoke, Ilea listened and chuckled at what he had said "Oh come on you know your kids love you, otherwise, you wouldn't have a fan club now would you?" she asked raising her eyebrow.
The more that the two of them spoke, the more Ilea couldn't help but realize that Will was the first guy she really felt comfortable around. In answering his question, she could hear her own satisfaction with her job because it was her life and something she loved. Her gaze drifted down to the table as she thought about his statement and nodded with a chuckle "Yeah, I do have a few funny ones. And I have one that was extremely embarassing. So yeah, we all have our moments." Ilea grinned. Thinking back on that moment when she went in to arrest one criminal. The guy and his wife were in bed playing again of hide the wand.
Ilea's face in just remembering made her cheeks turn a bright red. She closed her eyes and shook the thought from her mind, that was just a horrid thought to even think about. Opening her eyes, Ilea took a quick drink as she snuck a glance at the Tv to see the finishing win by the Bulgarians. Ilea turned to Will when he asked her what she was doing, she sat there in blank thought for a moment before realizing it was the weekend. "Nothing that I know of." she said with a hint of curiosity in her tone as she tilted her head to the left a little. "Why did you have something in mind you'd like to do?" she asked.

"Oh come on you know your kids love you, otherwise, you wouldn't have a fan club now would you?"
Will just laughed. She was probably right, as usual. Women were always right.
“I suppose so. Although I don’t see why” he smiled truthfully. Maybe it was because he was one of the younger Teachers and not a miserable old bore like some of the older ones. The ones who still wanted to cane pupils for bad behaviour.
“Oh, you have to tell me. I want to hear the embarrassing one first” he said rather excitedly when she mentioned the aray of stories she had in her mind. Shifting his chair in further so he could get closer to Ilea and so she could tell him the stories, his smile tugged at his lips, and he was so excited to hear them. Turning to see the Bulgarian’s take the final win, he smiled. “Congratulations!” he blurted. It was in order seems as though they were Ilea’s favourite team.
Looking at Ilea, he couldn’t help but get lost in her big brown eyes. There was something about them that were mysterious, yet warm and inviting. They seemed to make your eyes fixated on her, and it was truly bewitching how much depth they had to them. Her eyes were full of thoughts and memories, and they had a small little twinkle in them. Beautiful.
“Maybe I’d like to take you for a walk and a bite to eat?” he smiled with a look of intruige spread across his face. This was the crunch time, she’d either agree, or throw the rest of his drink over him and slap him. Hell, he was sick of being shy little William, he had grown up, it was about time he started acting like an adult, and things weren’t just going to happen by themselves.

"Well I can. Look at you.. You're handsome, intelligent, very charming, great sense of humor and you have an awesome personality. Who wouldn't want to be a fan of yours?" Ilea said as she sat up in her chair and rested her arms in her lap. "I mean seriously, you are just a wonderful guy." she added with sincerity in her tone. Truthfully out of all the guys that she had met both at and outside of work, Will was the first one she not only took a liking to but also felt comfortable around.
While talking about the reason she chose to become a Hit Witch, Will had mentioned about the stories that must have come from all the arrests that she had made. One of the stories that came to mind was so embarassing not only to the husband and wife, but to her as well. The excitement in Will's voice as he asked about her telling him the embarassing story, Ilea could feel her cheeks burning and was sure that they were an apple color. A chuckle escaped her lips while trying to take a breath.
At first she was unsure if she wanted to tell him or not but figured why not and what could it hurt. "Ok." she smirked. Brushing a few strands of her curly brunette hair away from her face, Ilea watched as Will moved closer to her waiting for her to tell him about it. Taking a small sip from her drink, she moved toward Will and rested her arm on the table and began. "My parnter and I were looking for this guy who had committed a murder, it was a crime of passion." Ilea glanced up to see the bartender bring them both another drink.
Ilea smiled at her, then went on. "But anyway he fled the scene and we spent months on end looking for him and couldn't find him. Thankfully we got a lead from someone, no names to be mentioned. So my partner and I went to check it out. We apparated in to give the guy less of a chance to escape." Ilea paused to let that much sink in, but when she heard the cheer from the crowd and saw the Bulgarians win, she heard Will congradulate her. "Oh.." she chuckled, "Thanks." she smiled and continued on with the rest of what had happened.
"So we get in there and I hear the guy say wanna play find the wand. Then I hear the woman agree to it. Well of course, we bursted in while they were in the middle of ummmm...you know." Ilea couldn't help but to lower her head toward the ground for a moment before she looked back up and said "The guy gets up showing the world and the woman asks me if I wanted to play the game. We stunned them both and brought them back. My partner couldn't keep his mouth shut and told the whole department that I got hit on by a woman who asked if I wanted to play hide the wand."
After that, Ilea finished off the fire whiskey and set the glass aside then grabbed the other one and took a drink. Looking back at Will, she knew her face had to be blushing bright red. Watching him look at her, Ilea caught on to the way he was looking at her. Smiling, she looked down at his shirt then looked back up into his eye. Was he really into her that much? she wondered thoughtfully. The words from his lips asking her what she was doing tomorrow, Ilea looked at him thoughtfully and answered but questioned him as to why.
His reply surprised her. Was this really happening? Did he just ask her out for dinner and a walk, he did. Ilea couldn't believe it, but the thought of it made her smile wider than ever before. "Yeah, I'd like that." she said still with a hint of shock to her tone, it was nonetheless good. Normally Ilea would have shot the offer down, however, there was something about Will that stopped her from saying no. She wanted to get to know him better, he made things interesting and he was nice, something she hasn't seen in a long time.
