Russ simply smiled, "If you say so." He wasn't going to argue with her about her wellbeing; though it would make for an interesting conversation but he had a slight buzz going on at the moment and it would just kill his mood.
"Yeah, and you're welcome to whatever it is you like. In return, I'd just like a few of your decorating services," he joked. He wouldn't mind, however, if she did help with his shop a little bit. His father always told him every shop needed a feminine touch to be successful, maybe Jen's touch would be just enough to help him out.
Russell nodded, "Well, if you really want to! Can't promise you I'll be up if you come in the morning. Not much of a morning person anymore. Then again, I have a spare key hidden under the miniature broom if you feel the dire need to wake me from my slumber," he said sending her a playful wink.

Jennifer nodded and gave a toothy grin. "I'd love to help, and have a nosey at your merchandise" she gave a cheeky laugh. He then said she could have some freebies, making her turn to him and give a displeased look accompanied with a frown. "Pfft, I'll have none of it. You can't run a shop like that! You'll go out of business within a week" she smirked before taking another sip of her beer. She glanced over at her notepad before picking it up along with her quill and stuffing them in her bag. Looking at Russell, she decided to explain herself. "I'll forget them otherwise" she stuck her tongue out playfully at him. "So, I'll be round tommorow to help you then. Don't mind If I come and jump on you to wake you up" she grinned seductively, but in a cheeky manner.

Russ grinned at Jen when she agreed to help him, "Well I'm glad that I'll have someone to help me out. And like I said before, you're welcome to help yourself out to anything in the store for helping me. It's a fair trade, or so I think." He just laughed as Jen refused. "I assure you, as long as their's quidditch lovers around, I will not go out of business." This was true.
He watched as she stuck her notepad into her bag, "Oh don't worry about it. If you would've left it, I'm sure I would've taken it home and give it back to you the next time I saw you." Russ grinned widely, "Tomorrow it is then. And yes, you can jump on me and wake me up, just be careful of certain body parts that I could possibly need in the future," he laughed and ran a hand through his hair.

Jennifer gave a womanly laugh as Russell said she could gladly jump on him to wake him up. "Well, If your bed happens to be comfy, I'll probably fall asleep on you!" she continued her laughter, and she tried to stifle it. Deciding to change the subject, she reverted back to the Kenmare Kestrals. "So how long did you play for the Kestrals?" she asked, taking another sip of her beer. The pub door opened and a few men came trundling in already drunk. Jennifer just smiled at them and it must of seemed like an invitation as they came over. Drunkenly breathing on her, an extremely drunk, larger man started slurring and drooling over Jennifer. Alrigh' love, cworr...ar' ye' new 'ere? No' seen you 'round 'ere before, 'ave we lads?". Jennifer just smiled, unsure of what to do. She looked over to Russell and smiled. "Erm, Excuse me fella's but i'm trying to have a conversation with my friend here, could you please leave?" she replied in a friendly manner. The drunk ringleader didn't seem to take kindly to that, and leant over so he was right in her face, breathing alcohol all over her. His nose was bulbous and red and the colour spread to his cheeks.

"Fall asleep on me, eh? I'm not so sure thats a good idea," he said running a hand through his hair with a laugh, "I think I could handle you next to me but on top? Now thats a different story," he said sending her a playful wink. So she was beautiful, that was for sure so of course a little harmless flirting was called for. It was assumed that she was flirting with him so he kindly returned the gesture. It was weird for Russell to show himself right away but he liked Jen and figured it wouldn't be a bad thing.
Once again, Quidditch was brought up which instantly brought a smile to his face. "Well for Kenmare, I played for 8 years then add another 7 years for Hogwarts." Russell herad the door open so he turned his head and noticed a few, already drunk fellows heading their way. "Oh great," he mumbled as one of the men started talking rather rudely to Jen.
She tried to herd him off, but it only made it worse. Russ had his jaw clenched and his hand was already forming a fist. He looked at Jen and raised an eyebrow until the man got into her face. Russ quickly stood up, his chair falling backwards, "The Lady asked you to leave," he said coldly. Russell didn't want to start any trouble and usually wouldn't but he already had a few drinks in him and wasn't in the right mind to think about settling things with a talk.

Jennifer quickly turned her head to when she heard the loud bang of the wooden chair on the stone floor. Noticing that Russell wasn't in it anymore, she looked up to see hm standing and with his fists balled. She raised her eyebrows and quickly stood up infront of Russell with her back to him to try and calm everyone down. Her delicate hands reached around behind her and grabbed onto his fists to try and calm him before he ended up killing someone. A moment before, she had seen the anger in his eyes. "Alright guys, please, just leave" she said loudly to the boisterous men, then shot a glance to the bartender who was trying a tankard. "Alright, get out guys, your too drunk" the bartender said, noticing Jennifer's look. He pointed to the door before continuing to watch on and clean his glasses.

Maybe Russell was overreacting a bit but he didn't like the way the men looked at or talked to Jen. It wasn't respectful in the least bit and annoyed the hell out of him. Sure, he was a bit rude when he walked over here right away but nothing like these guys. Russ continued to send an icy glare in their direction until the head of a brunette blocked his veiw.
It was Jen, of course it had to be. She stood between Russ and the guys and when she spoke, Russ calmed down a bit. She grabbed onto his fists and instantly he relaxed his hands. Thankfully the bartender had chased them off or Russell would've - well, we don't really know what Russell would've done. He watched as the men walked out of the pub, once out of veiw, he sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "I'm sorry, Jennifer. I don't know what came over me." Of course he knew, he just didn't want to say what he was thinking. She was an amazing woman and to see a guy even think about addressing her the way the man had was upsetting to Russell.
He turned and picked his chair back up before sitting back down. Russell wasn't the greatest guy and he knew it but he tried. Thankfully Jen still had a straight head on her shoulders to know not to mix with a guy like Russell, or at least he hoped she did. He was definitely attracted to her, that was for certain but he didn't want to hurt her like all those other girls. But, it wasn't something to think about yet, they only just met.

Jennifer watched the men mumble rude comments as they were forced to leave the bar, still holding on Russell's hands, she glared them out, before seeing the door finally close shut. Sighing, she let go on his hands and turned around to see Russell puttng a hand through his hair and he began to apologize. "No need to, I should thank you for sticking up for me, not everyone would. So, thanks" she smiled with thankful eyes and watched as he picked up his fallen chair. She looked at him and broke out into laughter, doubling over a little. "The look on his face when you stood up, I swear he wee'd himself a little" she laughed, wiping a tear away from her eye in amusement. Sitting back down, she checked to see if her bag was still there, which luckily it was. You never knew why people started trouble nowadays it could be for just the pure hell of it, or steal something from you. Jennifer hooked her leg over her other one and rested her hands on her lap. Signalling to the barman for two more beers, he promptly brought them over and jennifer gave him some money and he passed her a sympathetic smile and a nod of the head. Passing a beer to Russell in thanks, she flashed him a smile. Russell was great for standing up for her, nobody else before had done so without an alterior motive, or just not at all.

Russ was seated and looking a bit guilty for acting the way he had even though Jen was thanking him for sticking up for her. He was just about to apologize once more until Jen's laughter reached his ear. He looked up a bit shocked before a smile broke out on his face, "What's so funny?" Almost right after he had asked, she had answered. He rubbed the back of his neck and gave a short chuckle, "Yeah."
Russell watched as Jen sat back down and checked her purse. He was about to ask if everything was in it but it must've been if she didn't start freaking out. The bartender came over with two more beers and Russ raised an eyebrow questioning Jen's motive. "You're not trying to get me drunk, are you?" he asked with a smile. He felt the need to lighten the air after the event. "By this rate, I'll never wake up in the morning."

Jennifer saw Russ looking a little guilty, but soon cheered up when Jennifer started laughing. Jennifer grinned when Russell lightened the mood by asking if she was trying to get him drunk. "Of course I am" she winked. Sipping her beer, she couldn't help but smile again and shake her head at him in a playful way. "Well i'll be coming to wake you up in the morning, so don't be alarmed if I disguise myself as something scary, like just me in the morning" she chuckled. Looking up above the bar, she noticed it was getting late. Sighing, she looked back to Russell. "I'll have to get going after this drink, I've gotta clean the shop up and stuff" she simply said, she was a little disappointed about having to go as Russ was such great company, and awkward introductions seemed to of been forgotten by Jennifer.

Russ caught Jen's wink and grinned. Now he slightly regretted the way he had greeted her right off the bat. It wasn't him in the slightest way but by Jen's reassurance of waking him up, he knew she had forgiven him for his behaviour. "Careful, you don't want to scare me away now do you?" Though he doubted Jen was anything but beautiful in the morning. "Once again, please, be careful when waking me up."
Jen spoke about leaving and he knew it was late. He had things to do with his shop as well, more like cleaning up his living quarters. He nodded, "Yeah, I should probably be going too." Russ finished his drink and stood up. "Might I escort you to the door?" he said in a rather goofy voice.

"And why would I need to be careful?" she grinned. When Russell agreed it was getting late and offered to see her to the door, she smiled and finished the last of her beer before picking up her jacket and bag and stood up, putting on her jacket, and hooking her bag over her shoulder.
"That would be delightful" she said in a posh english accent. "One would enjoy that very much" she continued before giving a toothy grin. She walked around the table and Russ opened the door, nodding in thanks she walked out of the pub and waited for Russ to join her outside.
"Well, thanks for tonight, it's been really fun" she smiled. "I guess i'll see you tommorow" she smiled before turning around and walking away to opposite the pub to go back home. Reaching her door she put her keys in the lock, Jennifer turned around smiling and waved at Russ before opening the door and disappering inside.
