It was a sunny day, quite warm too, even with the breeze. Leo was walking down to Hogsmeade, making the same trip he made every year. The one thing he hated about christmas was the shopping part of it. He knew Gray had gone a few days ago, Gray had told Leo everything he bought, though he wasnt as stupid as last year when Gray told Leo what he had bought him. The thing was, what could he get Isabel that she didnt already have? It was no secret that girl was spoilt.
He reached the end of the street, Leo looked down it as he began to wander. Buying something for Gray would be easy, buy him a joke set or something to do with Quidditch and he'd be the happiest person alive. Though Isabel was more problematic. The only things he could think of were books, and Leo didnt really want to get her a book, he wanted to get her something that would mean something to her.
"Christmas shopping..." He grumbled, "Why do we even bother?"
Leo never really was any good when it came to shopping, especially for people other than himself and he didnt like it. Only because he never really knew what he was getting for anyone. Seriously he found it hard and tiring shopping and the only girl he knew was Isabel, well he couldnt invite her along if he was buying for her could he?

Stacey had been sat staring at a crumpled piece of parchment for over half an hour, twiddling the quill between her thumb and forefinger over and over again. Names were on the list, but no present ideas next to them. Sighing, she folded it untidily and pushed it hard into her jacket pocket.
Standing up, she walked out of the castle and down towards the way that lead to Hogsmeade. It was warm, unlike a typical december in Scotland although Stacey was somehow still cold, and she puffed up her jacket to keep in the warmth that was there. Pushing her hands into her pockets, she trudged her way into the entrance of Hogsmeade.
The list was pointless, she would just have to have a good look around and just buy stuff as she saw it. No ideas popped into her head, not even any presents for her best friend Jamie-Paul, and he was usually easy to buy for. Maybe he'd have to do with something jokey.
Pulling the parchment out of her pocket once more, she concentrated on the names, over and over again. She didn't look where she was going and knocked into someone, making her stumble backwards, but she caught her grip.
"Whoa. I'm sorry, are you alright?" she asked the boy.

Usually Leo was careful of his surroundings, usually he watched where he was going though obviously today this was not the case as someone knocked into him, winding him slightly as he put a hand to his stomach. Clearly this was going to be a disasterous day if people were knocking into him, maybe he should focus more on his surroundings than on the piece of parchment he had in his hands.
"Yeah I'm alright," Leo smiled, "Just a bit winded now but nothing I wont get over. Are you?"
It was obvious the shopping frenzy had attacked more people than he thought as people were rushing around as though Christmas would come tomorrow. Which of course it was a good few weeks away yet but even so. Thinking on it, he was glad he didnt have to shop with Isabel who was known between Gray and Leo as the Christmas Nazi. She had to have everything perfect, though how perfect could it be in a school? It was the same every year, open your presents, go find Gray, have a munch, then do whatever. Leo didnt understand why she had to plan everything, just to have it all fall apart anyway.
"You shopping too?" Leo asked, "Maybe we can help eachother then."

Stacey looked up to see the boy clutching his stomach. Biting her bottom lip, she began to feel a little guilty, but he reassured her he would be fine.
"I hope so, I'd hate to think I came christmas shopping and end up with no presents only a reminder that I injured a fellow shopper" she gave a smile to end the speech. The boy then asked if she was shopping to, in which Stace raised her eyebrows in returned and huffed.
"Did this crappy piece of parchment and the lack of observation give you the hint?" she said playfully. She hated shopping, no matter what it was for. Suprisingly enough, being a girl she didn't like shopping. Being high maintenance wasn't a thing for stacey, like the girls who would cry all day if they broke a nail. She hated them girls.
"Yeah, sounds good to me. Where were you headed?" she questioned him.
