Bradyn laughed. "Yeah, guess I'll have to clear that up and let you know later." But then, seeing as she was serious about the blood chocolate, he laughed. "Ah, anything with chocolate and blood sounds like something I'd like to block out." Shaking his head a bit, Bray realized she probably was the most unlucky Irish girl in the world. Maybe he could rub a little of his luck off onto her?
"Dark chocolate prevents cancer? Certainly sounds like a crazy muggle remedy." Personally, Bray preferred magical remedies, since muggle ones usually sounded crazy and painful. I mean, sticking a needle into your arm, who would do that? Or cutting another human being open like those 'surguns' do, ew, how gross. "I guess we should go with that, though, since then I could say I'm watching out for her health." And because I'd know she'd like it, since she said so. Unless El's lying, which would be possible.

"It as more like blood and a muffin, but seriously, you don't want to know." She said with a smile. Sadly, it sounded as though she was making up the ordeal, but it was true. Sadly, it really did happen, maybe it would be a good ice breaker next time her and Bray talked, if he wasn't to bust with his new girlfriend that is.
"Sounds good. I'm sure she will be flattered that you care about preventing her from getting cancer. I would be." Ellie said, with a smile. Honestly, Ellie would be flattered if Bray cared about anything about her, but seeing as though she was helping him buy chocolate for another girl he liked, she doubted that flattery would ever suit her.
"Well, umm." Ellie said, swinging her hands slightly. They had been standing the same spot, an awkward silence had fallen over them. "The uhh candy shop is that way, so I guess...." she turned on her heel and hoped he would follow. At least she had today to spend with him until he was gone forever. Sure Ellie, be completely over dramatic.

Bradyn raised a brow at her mention of blood muffins, but decided that he didn't really want to know and to just let that whole thing drop. If she had some eccentric muggle parents who liked to try weird foods, why should that bother him?
"Mmm, I think you're right about that." He said, smirking a bit to himself. As much of an arse as he was being, it still seemed to be a fun idea to him. He'd probably get whomped by Fay later, who was the feeling guru and of course knew about his little crush. But then again, she also knew how El felt about him, but wouldn't tell him that. She wanted him to 'find out himself', pfft, how lame.
"Oh right. Best not to waste time." He said and caught up with her on their way to Honeydukes, which was a short walk. Bray sped up when they neared, and opened the door for El to let her go in first. 'Chivalrous macho nonsense, check.' He thought once she walked in, and closed the door silently behind him, before looking with dread to see if Fay's mother was there or not. The last thing he needed was to deal with her bugging him, oh lord.
Luckily, the counter seemed empty; for now. Gesturing towards the chocolate, he smiled at El. "Well, since you're the feminine one here, what would you recommend?"

Waste time. Ellie smile weakly. Apparently Bray wanted to get going and go and see his true love, which was apparently not Ellie, but some other lucky girl that was probably prettier and smarter and better than Ellie ever would be because then she would be the one Bray actually liked but NO! Ellie thought all this in one really long run-on sentence. English was never her subject.
Anyway, Ellie smiled and happily walked down the street next to Bray. She had to shift from side to side every once in awhile. It seemed as though all the crowds in Hogsmeade didn't want her to walked next to Bray, but she was fighting, smiling at him softly so to show him she as ok.
Reaching the door, Ellie went to pull the handle, but chivalry is not dead. "Thanks." She said to Bray, her cheeks pinking. They walked in the crowded shop, and Bray seemed to look around, looking like her was trying to avoid someone. Maybe he was looking to see if the girl was in here! He could buy her something if she was standing right there. It would ruin the surprise. Apparently she was no where in sight because he pulled her toward the chocolate.
"Hmmm." Ellie said, looking up and down the rows of chocolate. She saw chocolate frogs, chocolate ink, chocolate dipped grapes. "Well, how serious are you?" She asked, putting her hands on her hips. "You could get Chocolate roses, those are cute, but kind of serious, well not too serious, but..uhh." Ellie was getting choked up with her words. "Then you could go the classic route and get a box of assorted chocolates. There has to be at least one she likes in the box." She said, indicating a box of Bertie Bott's Chocolate. She wondered what they were like, if anything like the jelly beans.

Bradyn smiled at El, and his heart leapt a bit when he noticed that her cheeks seemed to be a bit pink. Perhaps he hadn't killed her feelings, if any, with his stupidity and maybe his psychotic idea would work.
Taking his focus off of Ellie, since he didn't want to be caught staring, he glanced over the chocolate. Usually when he went here, Bray was just shopping for the same chocolate bars he always ate, but he never really noticed how much there was. Chocolate in all shapes, sizes, and colors. It seemed rather redundant. Frowning a bit, he laughed rather awkwardly when she mentioned whether or not he was serious with the girl. Well, obviously, not, it was just a crush that she didn't even know about.
"Oh.. um.. roses, sounds a little too up there." He said, mostly just avoiding the question but still letting her know the answer. Bray wasn't just going to spew out, Oh, it's you; you don't know. What chocolate do you want? 'Ew, assorted chocolates. Those annoy me.' Bray remembered when May would get those on valentine's day, and give him the ones she didn't like. Ironically enough, he didn't like them either so he'd pawn them off on some other loser.
"Maybe I could do something that's just like... classic, and everyone likes it? Like, everyone likes a plain bar of really chocolate." Especially Fay, who liked to break into his stock of those. One time you give a girl a candy bar to cheer her up, and she thinks that offer stands with all of it. He laughed a bit, "Although, I may be one of the few that likes those huge 1/2 pound bars that are like the size of my head."
[-got her friend like two 1/2 pound bars for her birthday xD she was like "Your gonna make me sick, or fat." and I was like "Honey, you couldn't put on a pound if you tried."]

"Ok, Ok" Elie said. "We have lots of options for you." She said with a smile. She should get a job at Honeydukes. She was actually happy that nothing was serious, so it wasn't like a girlfriend or anything. Ellie took a deep breath and sighed happily. Its not like that meant that who ever it was wouldn't ever be Bray's girlfriend, but for now, Ellie was happy.
"Normal is good." Ellie said with a smirk. "Not that you are normal." Bray added the 1/2 pound comment. "My point." She said with a smile. You know the people that you just love to poke fun at because you smile and then they smile and its a big smiley party, well, that was Ellie's feeling toward Bray at that moment.
"Well, how about a normal bar of Honeyduke's Original Normal Bar o' Chocolate." Ellie said, pulling a rather good sized bar of chocolate off the shelf. She flipped it over in her hand. The package was a pretty dark plum color, royalty colors the package said. Ellie smiled and offered it to Bray. "Sound like something she'd like?"

Bradyn laughed. "Wow, El, I didn't know that you were such a good salesperson. You could probably easily convince me to pick something up for you too... as a reward for helping me, of course." Not because he liked her or anything, no way! He thought sarcastically with his little smile still on his face.
"Yes, of course, I'm highly abnormal. Sometimes I forget whether or not I put my shoes on my feet, or my shoes on my hands." Laughing ab it, he waved his arms a little before turning back to the chocolate. 'Mmm, bittersweet chocolate. My favorite! No, no, don't distract yourself.'
"The normal normal normal Bar? How many times can we say normal in this conversation?" With a smile, he looked down at the bar. Obviously, if she picked it out, it would be something that El wouldn't mind getting. Suddenly, he was hit with an inspirational idea for what to get her for Christmas, months from now. 'Sometimes you think too far ahead, dearie, but sometimes you don't think at all.' was usually what his mother said to him at moments like that.
"Looks good. Guess I'll buy it, then I'll probably wrap it up all nice and pretty, then I can't eat it myself." Bray joked, and looked at the price before fishing around in his pocket. He disliked wallets, because they made what he called 'awkward bulges' on his buttox.

Ellie smiled. "Thats what I'll do with the rest of my life!" Ellie said with a smirk. "I'll become the candy girl at Honeydukes!" Ellie said, jokingly. Obviously, she wasn't going to create a career out of candy. It wasn't her passion, though she did enjoy a good piece of chocolate every once in a while.
"Oh, you really don't have too." Ellie said, blushing. Ellie blushed a lot. Most of the time she didn't know what she was blushing at, but her body usually understood more than her brain, and therefore sent blood rushing to her cheeks.
"Well, I think you just proved my abnormal point. Maybe you should just learn to walk on your hands so if you do put your shoes on them, it wouldn't be a problem." Corny. Ellie half smiled, wow, she was a loser.
"Well, I normally would say that to be a normal kind of person, you would have to say normal at least, well if you were normal that is, fifteen times a day, but it has to be a normal day, which normally, my days are normal." Ellie said, rambling on about normalcy. She smiled.
Ellie laughed. "Sounds good. I don't think this girl would be to flattered if you went up to her stammering....'I..uh...bought you chocolate...but I ate it...' Really smooth." Ellie smiled. They walked over to the counter to check out the candy. Ellie smiled at the person Bray went into his pockets for money.

Bradyn laughed a bit. "Oh, now that is a prestigious career." But as he said that, he glanced back towards the counter hoping that whoever was working it didn't hear that. "I insist!" He said, and smiled over at El. She was cute, with her constant blushing. "I mean, can you really come in here and walk out empty-handed?"
Smirking at her little solution to his made-up problem, he shook his head. "Ah, that could work. I never thought of that. But, how would I sit down? I'd have to practically do a backflip, or something." Bray was definitely abnormal, or maybe he just over-analyzed things.
"Normal, normal, normal, normal. If the purpose of that was to confuse my, you definitely succeeded." He said, his head still not comprehending the steps of being normal. "Explaining being normal, that's abnormal, missy!" Pulling out the money, plus a little extra in case El really did decide she wanted something -- besides what she was already getting, of course. Bray smiled as Ms. Locke as she came out and seemed to know what was going on.
'Maybe she really is like Fay, I half-expected her to flail with a little spazzing motion on how they made such a cute couple, or some other nonsense.' He thought with a smile as he placed the money on the counter. "Lordy, I hope that doesn't happen since if someone said that to me, I'd probably burst out laughing."

"No really, I'm fine." Ellie said, putting a hand on Bray's arm to make her point, but taking it off almost immediately after feeling her fingers touch his shirt. Ellie couldn't bring herself to let him get her something. It was the principle of the matter. It didn't make sense for him to buy her something, even if he meant it as a friendly gesture. Ellie knew he was her friend, she didn't need chocolate to prove it.
Ellie smirked. "You just won't sit down." she said, answering his question. "Who really needs to sit down anyway." she added, smiling again.
"Ah, mission accomplished." Ellie said, laughing. "Well, who ever said that being abnormal wasn't normal?" Ellie said. She then thought about what she just said, and made a face. "Yeah, I'm not making sense." She said, her cheek pinking.
"Well, good to know you'll laugh and make them feel ten times worse!" Ellie said with a smile. The lady at the counter was smiling awkwardly at her. Ellie thought she looked familiar, but couldn't put her finger on it. However, Ellie was starting to get creeped out. She smiled back softly at the lady, and then looked at Bray, confused. The lady took the money Bray had put on the counter, and opened the cash register, and smiled again at Ellie. 'ok, lady.' Ellie thought. 'it not polite to stare creepily at your customers.' [worst post of my life.]

Bradyn raised a brow and frowned at Ellie, but it was obviously that he couldn't sway her. 'Some people are just too stubborn these days.' he thought and pursed his lips slightly at the thought. His sister would definitely be a prime suspect of being far too stubborn.
"Sounds like a perfect solution... but what would I do when I get the world's worst head-rush?" He laughed a little and shook his head. "You're a loon, Ellie Rook." Bray stuck his tongue out at her and grabbed his change from Ms. Locke who seemed to be nearly bursting at the seems with the effort of not saying anything.
"If being abnormal was normal, then being normal would be abnormal and we'd have to start this argument all over again. But if you wanted my opinion, I'd say we're all a population of one. Crazy in our own way.. some just more than others." He laughed and nudged her gently with his elbow, though if anyone was crazy here, he would probably be it. After all, Ash so kindly pointed it out to him often that he was off his rocker -- on good days, Bradyn Reed never even had a rocker to fall off of.
Walking over towards the door and held it open for her, hoping to leave the little sweet shop as fast as possible. But perhaps he wasn't fast enough, because as the door swung shut behind them he swore he could hear a little squeal of "Those two look so, so cute together!" from Christi. Oh joy. Bray thought and bit down lightly on his lower lip, hoping that he wasn't the one blushing this time.
Realizing that his little excuse to hang out with Ellie was done with, he frowned. It would be very conspicuous to come up with another lame excuse to stall time so he just shoved the bag with the bar of chocolate in his back pocket before smiling at El. "I really appreciate this, you know.. but I guess I ought to head back and find Fay." Bray laughed a little awkwardly and decided to throw one of his usual taunting of Fay in to hopefully cheer her up. "Got to check on her, lest she goes crazy and starts to bite people because she's bored." He couldn't help but smiling at that, especially when the mental image of Fay latched onto Erys' arm popped in his head. That would be a kodak moment right there.
[ Woah. that was longer than I expected. It's probably complete trash, though.]

[Glomp. Ellie missed Bray.] Ellie thought for a moment. "Well, get used to it!" She said, not being able to come up with a suitable answer. The head rush flaw was enough to dispel her idea totally. She stuck her tongue out at him and giggled. "Quack!" She said with a a smile. "That mean 'I know', by the way."
Ellie laughed. "I couldn't possibly start the argument over again because I haven't the slightest idea what we were arguing about in the first place." It had gotten way to deep for her mind to wrap itself around. By the second time Bray had said 'abnormal', she had lost him totally.
Ellie gave one last glance to the woman behind the counter and then at Bray, who seemed to want to get out of the shop quick as possible. As they turned to go, Ellie heard the woman say something. She blushed and looked at Bray. "I think that woman thinks..." He face was too red. "Never mind..." She finished, deciding not to push her luck.
Ellie smiled, sadly. "I guess you're right." He was, though she wished he wasn't. Left to her own devices, Fay could go slightly mental. Ellie had an image of Fay lying on her back in the four poster bed, magicking plastic knives and forks into the ceiling.
Ellie shifted and dug her foot into the dirt of the road. "Well...I guess I'll see you then." She said, her smile still obviously sad. She didn't know what to say, so she chose: "Good luck with that girl..." She said indicating the bag of chocolate he was holding. Ugh. She thought. Just Ugh.

Bradyn laughed at El when she quacked, and nudged her again. "Meow. That's Bray-zillian for.. I'm crazy too?" He finished rather lamely since he was distracted by how realistic his meow sounded, and it actually surprised him.
"Good, because I didn't really know either, but I was just going along with it." All Bray could really place with the argument was that there were a heck of a lot of normals and abnormals and none of it made any sense at all. He blushed a little more when he realized that El heard what Christi said, and he shrugged a little. "That lady thinks what?" He asked, then soon wished he didn't after she dropped it. "Or.. well, never mind."
Then, seeing El's sad look after he told her he was gonna go, he frowned a bit. Making a quick plan to cheer her up, Bray quickly pulled her in for a hug. "You could always join us after I hunt her down. Unless we're too cool for you." He said, before realizing that he was still holding onto her and let her go with an embarrassed cough.

Ellie was hoping Bray would give her a hug. She didn't want to leave without something good to tell Fay later on. Ellie was extactic as she pulled her in. She slip her arms around his neck and hugged him back, a smile on her face the whole time.
Ellie was sure she shouldn't push her luck After all, they had just got done shopping for someone else. Not realizing she was still in his arms, she laughed. "No, I think I'd better get back and try and finish up some homework." With a smile, she realized at the same time as Bray that they were still together. She let her arms down off his neck and gave a nervous laugh.
"Well, Bye." She said, smiling, looking at him straight in the eyes. Don't kiss him.. She thought. Why not, the little devil on her shoulder started, go for it. She leaned in slightly, and then, thinking better of it, turned and walked into the crowd with a little smile toward the boy she was leaving behind. [on to the next thread!]
