Ellie strolled down the Hogsmeade street, hands in her jean pockets. She was wearing a dark purple corduroy jacket over her tee shirt keeping the chill out. It wasn't necessarily cold, but the spring wind picked up constantly sending shivers down Ellie back. However, she like the wind blowing her hair back. Somehow it felt better now that she wasn't on castle grounds anymore. Freedom.
Ellie walked along passing Honeydukes, nodding to a Professor as they walked by. She looked around the crowd, inching on her toes at time to get a better look. She knew who she was looking for, but she wondered if she should be looking for him. Bray had been sweet to Ellie, but maybe Ellie was taking her feelings a little too far.
Ellie wasn't one to admit she liked someone. She just went on thinking it was impossible for anything to work out. Ellie wondered why. Her parent were happily married, she had never had any bad experiences or anything. Ellie was just wary of her surroundings. Yes. That's it. She thought, knowing it wasn't it at all.
Ellie stood in her tippy toes to look over the crowd in front of the quidditch supply store. Nope. He wasn't there. Ellie sighed. She kept walking. He wasn't anywhere, Ellie didn't care where he was, she wasn't thinking about. She wasn't thinking about him.

Bradyn grinned and took a deep breath once he was aloud outside of the castle. 'Finally, I thought that week would never end!' He thought as he pulled on his jacket over his Beatles teeshirt. They were just going to Hogsmeade, it's not like he'd be in trouble for being out of dress. And if he did, who cares? Just a few more detentions to serve.
Whistling a little tune, he walked through the streets of Hogsmeade, glancing at some of the shops with a bored expression. Bray wasn't one to window shop, and he didn't have much money to do so. 'Probably because you blow most of your money on chocolate, fattie.' He thought with amusement, but shook his head a bit. Only when he heard a little commotion around the quidditch shop did he look up with some interest. Glancing at a younger Gryffindor who was practically drooling over something, he discovered that there were new brooms. "Man, these things are getting faster and faster each day." Bray mumbled and continued walking on.
He needed a new broom since his was starting to get bend out of shape from all of his keeper's dives. Perhaps he'd ask for one for Christmas? As he passed someone, he noticed they smelled rather good and had to stop and make a double take. Surprisingly, it was El Rook. Turning back around, Bray sneaked up on the girl and put his hands over her eyes.
"Guess who?" He said, trying of course, to disguise his voice.

Ellie sighed. She decided she would go and have a butterbeer at the three broomsticks. Maybe other people would be there. The Hufflepuff took and step but was pulled back by a person putting their hands over her eyes. In an instant she smiled, she knew who it was. However, they had done a rather comical job of disguising their voice. Ellie laughed and said. "Professor Fagin." She said jokingly, for the disguised voice had the same raspy tone the muggle studies professor had.
She took the hands off her eyes and wiped around. She smiled as she found that she had guessed right. "Bray, honestly, you don't think I know your voice. It haunts my dreams." She fake shuddered, and smiled. Her cheeks got red. She realized that what she had said could be totally misconstrued. Truthfully, she didn't mind, but outwardly, she felt embarrassed. thus the pink tint to her cheeks.
El looked down and realized she was still holding Bray's hands. Instantly the pink be came red and she let go. "So..." She said, "What brings you to Hogsmeade?" She asked. "Shopping for anyone?" She nudged him playfully. That's right, she thought, make him think about someone else, you're a genius.

Bradyn gasped rather over-dramatically at El's guess. Perhaps she actually knew who it was, and was just being silly but he frowned all the same. "Well, El, I didn't know the old guy liked to come up behind you like that." He said, laughing a bit. Bray didn't particularly like Fagin, as he seemed to take a weird liking to Bradyn and he didn't even take muggle studies. 'Weird old man.' He thought with a little shudder.
What she said next made him grin rather cockily at her. "Oh? You dream about me? How adorable." He said in an almost mocking tone, while on the inside he was about to do the victory dance. Maybe she really did like him back? 'I could always ask Fay if she knows, but that would be.. cheating.'
When she finally let go of his hands, which he didn't really notice she still had, he shoved them into his pockets with a quiet, awkward cough. "Oh, of course." He said cheerily while looking up ahead at the shops. "There's this really cute girl I know, and I thought I'd just pick her up something." That was a complete lie, since in reality he was just going to pick up a bar of chocolate for himself, but it did sound better this way. Plus, if she got all jealous, then he'd know she liked him.

Ellie thought of Fagin actually going behind her like Bray did. "Oh, yeah." She stuttered slightly disturbed, "All the time." She smiled, letting on that she was joking.
"Oh, every night." Ellie said, trying to redeem herself, considering she had let a big slip on the 'I like Bray secret'. "Of course, You're usually chasing after me with a cat, threatening to throw it at me." Ellie said, telling Bray a real dream she once had, except it was a Slytherin she rather disliked in stead of the Ravenclaw. A little white lie never hurt any one.
Ellie faces went to real smile, to obviously faked smile. "Oh." Ellie said, not being able to hide the disappointment from her voice. "G-good for you."
Wow! What an idiot she was. She couldn't believe that she thought that he would like her. She was plain ordinary Ellie. E.A.R. It was a curse. She knew it! However, she couldn't help but like him. It was a crush you don't get over to fast. "What are you planning on getting, for...her." She asked, trying to keep up conversation so everything would seem normal.

Bradyn smiled at El. "I'd be a little afraid of him, then." He said, still joking around. "He is one of the more scary teachers, I think, perhaps even more than crabby old Vance!" Wasn't it just a bit ironic that the head of Slytherin would be teaching Muggles studies?
Bray gasped a little over-dramatically and clapped his hand over his mouth. "Aw, I wouldn't chase you down with cats.. on purpose." He added the last bit with a little wink before he burst out laughing.
Then when she looked, well she still looked happy but seemed upset about him mentioning someone else, he smiled a bit to himself. Maybe she really did like him after all? He shrugged a bit, not really knowing how to answer that question. It was a lie to start with, so maybe he should just keep lying. It's not like he could stop right now. "Hm, I don't really know what she'd like." He paused when an idea hit him.
"Maybe you could come around with me, and help me out? You are a girl, after all." Bray said tactically, since then he could actually get El a little gift that she would like. Unless, of course, she would be spiteful and purposely pick something she thought was horrible. 'That could be a problem.. but it'd be funny.'

"Well, technically you can just chase me as a cat." She said with a laugh. "It would probably be ten times scarier just because its you." She nudges him. Oh boy, Ellie girl, you have a problem. UGHH DIE FEELINGS!
"Oh, well." Ellie shrugged. She didn't really want to know who the girl was. It was possible she might transfigure her into a tree. It never crossed Ellie's mind that Bray why trying to make her jealous. Technically, there was no reason for him to make her jealous. Ellie really was unaware of the fact that Bray really could like her. She was just oblivious.
Ellie face went pale, but she kept on smiling. "I-I don't know..I" Ellie looked in his eyes, and she gave in instantly. "Sure." She said shortly. "What does she like to do?" Ellie said, wanting to get this over as fast as possible.

Bradyn laughed. "That's true." Then, because he just couldn't resist, he did little air claws at El and winked before he quickly looked around as though talking about this imaginary girl was very distracting.
"Hmm." He said, tapping his chin a little to hide his grin. It seemed that she did like him, or if she didn't like him then she didn't like seeing him with other girls. But making up another, nonexistant person would be difficult. Maybe he should base them off of someone he knew, like Fay? No, no, definitely not Fay. Perhaps Bry? Ah, but she moved back to France over the summer.
Bray grinned and stuck his arm around El's shoulders. "Really? Great!" Even if it was for a weird and somewhat tedious shopping trip, he was glad that he'd get to spend some time with El. Then he thought about what El liked to do and frowned. It was much more of a difficult question than he had expected. "Um, she does play Quidditch, but stuff like that isn't the best gift.. is it?"

Oh great, she's great. Ellie thought. Actually anyone who Bradyn would like would have to be great, considering he was great himself. However, Ellie really hated the situation she was being put in, However, she knew that boys were hopeless at buying gifts. Her uncle, for every holiday you can think of, and some he made up himself, gave everyone in the family Wimbourne Wasp hats and sweatshirts and stuff. It got old after nine years of Wasp stuff. Therefore, Ellie did feel a little bad for Bray, but at the same time, she wished would ever he was buying stuff for would fall down a well, without their wand obviously.
Ellie shifted awkwardly as he thought. "Oh, yeah, well, does she have like a hobby, like reading or something?" Ellie thought, trying to give in ideas, again she wanted this done quickly.
While Bray thought, she thought. Quidditch. Maybe the girl was on the house team. She quickly went through all the girl on the teams that she thought Bray would like. She doubted it was a Slytherin, it just wasn't Bray's style. Gryffindor's, eh, young ones were on the team. Hufflepuff, Bray did say he liked Hufflepuff's. Ellie had at one point thought he was talking about her, but maybe she was wrong. But then her mind shifted to the one person Ellie thought it had to be! FAY! It had to be Fay. Bray was really close with her and she liked quidditch. Ellie frowned slightly out of her fake smile. Ellie was buying a gift for her best friend from the guy she had a crush on. joy to teenage love craziness.

Bradyn, of course, felt bad for leading El on like this. Certainly leading people on that he was attracted to them, which in this circumstance would not be a lie, was a lot more fun than doing it vice versa.
Laughing a bit at the hobby she mentioned, Bray guessed that El figured he liked another nerdy Ravenclaw. Of course, he would just love to date someone that read all the time, and if all they talked about books that would be even better; not!
He shrugged a bit, he always thought Quidditch was a hobby. Maybe it was more of a passion rather than a hobby? But he was silently thankful that she didn't ask what position said girl played. Because, what would he say, seeker? Oh, that would take it down to Ellie, or the very young Sarie Thimble. Maybe he could just throw something out there at random, and then he might even utterly confuse the girl. "Hm, I notice that she gets in trouble a lot." Then, noticing that he still had his arm around El's shoulders, he coughed rather awkwardly and removed it quickly. 'Nice job, loser.'

Ellie still couldn't believe that Bray could possibly like Fay. Perhaps she was wrong. Gosh, she hoped she was wrong. They were all such good friends. Wouldn't that create outrageous tension between all of them.
Trouble. "Oh." Ellie said, off in thought. Fay doesn't get into a whole lot of trouble. Quidditch and trouble...hmm. ERYS GRACE! AHHH. Ellie couldn't help but make a face. She was so, so, sexy! Bray couldn't possibly, but he was a guy, but eww.
"Well, then why don't you get her some..uh.." Ellie wasn't really good at knowing what to get someone who got into trouble a lot. Ellie didn't really get into trouble, trouble sort of found her. Usually she had a perfectly good excuse, otherwise she just usually just cried to get out of it, but she hadn't had to do that for years.
"Get her, dungbombs?" Ellie said hesitantly. It might be the worst present you could possibly give someone, but Ellie guessed they would be good at getting who ever it was in trouble, and make a smelly mess at the same time. Lovely.

There was never a time when Bray wanted to know what someone was thinking more. The possibilities that could be running through El's head right now where endless, and it was starting to bother him. Would she actually not like him? Was she mad? Did she think he was a manwhore? Or did she figure out a person who fit all the random qualities he put out? It was rather frustrating, and he was tempted to just be like 'Got you!' but that wouldn't be something wise at the moment. Surprisingly, he almost wished Fay was there to tell him what to say (she was quite good at things like this, after all).
What she suggested he get this 'girl' almost made him burst out into hysterical laughter. Oh, he was so sure that El would just love to receive some nice dungbombs. She'd probably get mad, since she blew the chance to get herself something nice. "Oh, as tempting as it sounds to give someone something that I don't even want to touch.. I really doubt she'd like that."
Shoving his hands into his jacket pocket, he frowned a bit. "Maybe some chocolate? Or do girls not like to get candy (nicole:Gasp, no I love it ) since they're under the impression that it'll make them fat?" He said, trying to speed up the thinking process to something much more realistic. "Or I could get Quidditch paraphernalia, but it'd definitely be for the Irish!" Of course, Bray, like the loyal fan he was, had a ton of Irish gear like countless hooded sweatshirts, noisemakers, and scarves.

[ahh haha, manwhore, you make me day.] Ellie smiled awkwardly. Maybe she would suggest something extremely horrible and then the 'girl' would hate Bray for the rest of her life. Dungbombs were quite horrid, but there were so many other things that could be worse. However, after thinking this thought, Ellie felt bad. What if she broke Bray's heart. Ellie couldn't see him like that, it would be to painful. She decided that she would go along with him. She wanted him happy. Ugh, why is she so sappy?
"Oh, well, it was an idea." Ellie said with a smirk when the dungbomb idea was shot down. She wasn't really serious, but hey, if he bought it....wait, he would hate her forever. Yes, it was certain now that Ellie had to let Bray get an amazingly spectacular gift for this 'girl.'
"No quidditch." She said. "She might not like the same teams, and then conflict everywhere!" Ellie said, joking with him. She was determined to put on a good face and go for the gold. Maybe it wouldn't work out in the first place. Hope, there is always hope.
"Well, I like candy, I'm a girl." Ellie said, stating the obvious. "I like thats a good idea. You can't really go wrong with chocolate, unless, its full of blood or something." She wrinkled her nose. Her father had brought home a stock of blood muffins before from a vampire he was doing business with. Before her mother had time to throw them out, Ellie had taken one and bitten in to it. Gross.

[short.]
Bradyn smirked. "Well, I know that if someone got me some dungbombs, I'd be quite.. speechless to say the least." He said, though in all honesty he probably would be rather confused and would just make it his mission to use them on said person.
"Well, that is true." He said with a laugh. "But, then again, those who aren't Irish fans just aren't Quidditch fans!" Bray said, joking a little bit but he really had no idea who El would be a fan of, if she followed professional quidditch at all.
Laughing a little at her little blunt stating of the obvious he shook his head. "I love chocolate. I'm a boy.. I think." He couldn't help but say it, since it was just a little too tempting to mock her for that. "Bloody chocolate, either you have a rather sick mind or some real bad experience with that... usually I like bittersweet chocolate, or something packed with joyness!(nicole: like a Baby Ruth!<3)"

[even shorter]
Ellie shrugged, short of agreeing with him. She didn't really follow quidditch, besides the house teams. Sure it was exciting, but she didn't know any of the players personally, so it wasn't as much fun. Oh, yeah, and she couldn't play it. Ellie doubted she would ever be good enough to play professionally.
Ellie smiled at the joke and then nudged Bray. "Well, I'll leave it up to you to check then." She said with a smile. "Yeah, rather not talk about the experience if you don't mind." Ellie said half smirking, probably making Bray believe she was a vampire or something.
Ellie really didn't know what other girls liked, she knew what she liked. At this point Ellie didn't really care. She was just going with whatever popped into her mind, the girl could like it, or not like it. Either way, Ellie didn't think she was any worse for the wear.
"Personally, I like Dark chocolate, and it protect you from getting cancer." Ellie said, adding that on randomly. "Sorry, my aunts a muggle doctor." She said with a smile.
