All Girty could do was sit and blink at Jac as she explained the vastness of everything she had learnt from Chloe. Not even a smile graced Girty’s lips and a frown spread across the Hufflepuff’s face as she tried to sort everything in her head, file all the bits of information in their correct places in her memory banks. In such a small space of time Girty had taken onboard so much information, some of it vital for the struggle against the ministry. Shooting up Girty only had one thing on her mind.
“I need to tell the rouges…”
However this declaration was short lived and almost in a transfixed state she sat back down on the steps again just looking at her hands almost as if they were pages from a book and she was re reading the same sentence over and over. Licking her dry lips Girty raised her head and finally a smile appeared on her face as she looked at Jac. It was not a happy smile, or a caring one at that, it was a smile that you would have normally found on the face of a Slytherin as they plotted the downfall of their next victim and in essence that was what Girty was doing right now. The rouges needed to know this information and she would have to pass the message on via Professor Everritt or Simon…Simon. Her attention wondered for a second before snapping back on the here and now.
“Jac…you have just…just done more work then The Guild has ever done. You have actually done something useful.” Girty suddenly realised what she said and had to back track.” Oh…er…I am not saying you never do anything useful as I mean you do…I meant as like The Guild as a whole…I mean all we seem to do is bicker between ourselves and never do anything…"
Girty looked away from Jac and gave a small cough to clear her throat; her mind was spinning to quickly to even finish off what she had to say. She felt like they had to act, maybe after the holidays would be the time to do it, the ministry might be foolish enough to think that the time away over the summer could clam them all down but instead it would just give them more time to act.
“Jac…”Girty was going to pick her words carefully. “What if we…you and I that is…did our own little bit of snooping around, pushed the boundaries a little bit. What would you say if I suggested going after van Haestregt ourselves? We can not take her out completely…I do not even think there are enough rouges in the world too…but we could try and make her life hell.”
