Alexine walked to this circular stone room which got the name Owlery. She felt sick, not sick like ill, but sick in the head. Fourteen years ago her mother gave birth to her, fourteen! She was a 'big'girl and still had her periods of homesickness. There were about 2000 kilometres between the one she needed the most at this moment. She needed her mother, her mother Helena who always made soup, warm chocolate and apfelstrüdel for her if she felt like it. She had written a 2 metres long letter about how much she needed her. A 14 year old girl asking for her mother wasn't real tough. She knew that and was a bit ashamed. She had put all her devotion in the letter and asked for her owl. It came, it was a black owl with a bit of white on its head. The owl was called Fluffy, since Alexine was a bad name giver.

Lena was humming a melody as she walked to the Owlery. She wandered through the castle and had almost forgotten to post a letter which belonged to the grave of Eline, who died from cancer. She had written in Dutch since Eline was Dutch. When Lena walked by she saw a girl standing with an black with white owl on her arm. When Lena looked another time she noticed that this girl was Alexine. She had met her before. Lena leaned over the boarding and watched the owls. She asked: So,what are you up to?
Lena did not wait for her answer and said: I have written a letter for the grave of one of my dearest friends: Eline.Actually it was more like a song, but it didn't matter. Lena took the letter and reread it. It was an honour that this letter was going to be delivered with an owl, she was still fascinated by this.Lena looked at the written letters which formed words and those words formed a sentence and all those sentences formed one story.:
She cried after she had read it, others won't understand it so let it be that way.

Alexine hadn't expect someone here. She had recognized this voice. The person stood next to her. When Alexine slightly turned her head she saw it was Lena. Lena from Potions. The girl just had asked her a question and answered it herself. Alexine had to think of a reason to not be seen as a weak Hufflepuff. Especially when she said the words: for the grave of one of my dearest friends. This meant she lost somebody, a friend. Even a dearest friend. How could Alexine show her teared face and say this was a letter for her mother. Her mother lived!Maybe this was also a reason of homesickness, she lived and Alexine wanted to be with her as long as possible. Alexine detached her letter and wanted to get sway as fast as possible. She saw that Lena was holding a letter which must have been the one she would sent to .. somewhere. Alexine read over the shoulder of Lena and saw a language which she could not place. This not understandable words mean a lot.. She saw tears blinking in the eyes of Lena. Alexine grabbed an unused handkerchief out of her pocket. She said: Here..for your tears and maybe you want to hold your mascara on its place. Not the best way to console someone, but maybe it worked.

Jac had received yet another bombardment of letters from her family as they were all freaking out about something or other. The trouble with having such a big family was that everyone thought that everyone already knew everything so they danced around saying exactly what they were on about and Jac was left in the dark. This often annoyed her and she had written letters back to everyone saying how silly it was to expect her to know what they were going on about when everyone was being so darn coy about it.
She marched up the stairs to the Owlery and reached the top to find she wasn't alone. There were, besides the owls, two students she didn't outright recognise. "Hiya ladies," Jac said cheerfully. Meeting new people always made her happy and brightened her day and she tried her best to put her worries away. "You guys receiving or sending?" she asked conversationally as she walked to a few barn owls perched near by. She gave them a letter each and watched at the four owls flew off.

Alexine whispered to Lena:"Life goes on,pull yourself together Lenny you will see her one day in heaven."This sounded a bit to Christianish but also this could help. Alexine walked to the other girl and said: "I just have sent a letter to my mother, little bit homesick.I am not a Gryffindor so I don't have to be braved."Alexine laughed when she said that although it might have been the truth. "I am Alexine Roise by the way."

Jac sent the Hufflepuff a skew grin before laughing. She clapped a hand to the Huff's shoulder and said, "you don't need to be brave to be homesick, mate. Miss my mum all the time. Miss my own bed and everyone but that doesn't make me any less brave." Jac let her hand drop to her side and flinched slightly as an owl swooped low over her head. It was a hazzard chatting in the Owlrey and Jac had many a bump on the head to prove it.
Jac watched the owl land far above their heads before looking back to the two girl. She smiled wider at the Hufflepuff and added with a light chuckle, "name's Jac Biggerstall. Lovely to meet you Alexine. Mind if I call ya Lex?" Jac loved to give people nicknames and loved giving them too. She had gotten many but her favourite was still from Drake. He called her Flame because of the fiery hair. It was fun thinking up nicknames, she though and smiled widely at the Huff because of it.
