Kasey sighed and brushed her hair back out of her eyes. "Let's see...Need to send another letter to mum." She quickly strapped her letter to one of the owls. It flew off, after a rather shakey start, and disapeared into the skies.
Kris turned back around and grinned. "Well, that's done. Off to go...frolic or something." She turned back around and almost skipped out of the room. Until she tripped and flew forward. Seems someone left something laying around. Books as she could see. Kasey let out a small squeak and changed her form out of fright. So, there seemed to be a fox sitting in the owlery. Her eyes were wide as she sat there, her chest heaving.
After a moment, Kasey finally remembered that it would be rather suspicious if a fox was sitting in the middle of the floor. She shifted back to her normal self and brushed herself off. Hopefully no one had seen that. Because no one else knew that she was an animagus.

Lorenz had been standing in the far corner of the owlery, that his owl Bebe preferred, when Kasey fell. He saw her change form into a beautiful, little fox. Lorenz knew Kasey, because they were in the same house. While they knew each other, they weren't really friends, more acquaintances who spoke on occasion, and never before had he heard any mention of the fact that this girl was an animagus.
Walking out of the corner and over to where Kasey was Lorenz said, "Sorry about that. I didn't think about where I put my books before I put them there. You are okay, aren't you?" he asked Kasey, though not very concerned. She was obviously fine.
Lorenz made no mention of the fact that she was an animagus, because to him it was no big deal. Although, it had been strange to see a fox sitting in the middle of the owlery. He kicked his books over against a wall, where no one else would trip over them, and then turned back to Kasey.

Kasey squeaked -again- and turned to the boy. Well, atleast she knew him. Lorenz, that was his name. She'd seen him a few times, it was hard not to since they were in the same house. Well, hopefully he hadn't seen anything. Doubtful, but there was a really small chance.
Kase forced a grin and laughed nervously. She let her hair fall back in front of her eyes and glanced over to the books. "Yea, I'm fine. Just tripping over things like usual. No harm done." She held up her hands, showing no injury.
Her gaze cast down at her feet as she shifted her weight. It was unusual for Kasey to be so quiet, usually she was bubbling around the room. "So, er, how are your classes going?" Yea, great cover-up

Immediately, Lorenz noticed Kasey's nervousness. Normally, this girl was loud, bubbly, and not shy in the slightest. However, at the moment, she was behaving strangely quiet and reserved. Lorenz gave her a strange look as she asked him how classes were going.
"Classes are going as usual, boring and annoying. Well, some of them are okay I suppose, but mostly just dull wastes of my time," he answered still giving her the strange look. He was curious as to why she was behaving this way but knew it would be rude to ask.
Lorenz realized that he was never one for common courtesy, so asking her wasn't strange coming from him. "What's up with you?" he asked. Without meaning to he had allowed the question to come out sounding very rude. "Well, I mean what's wrong?" he corrected quickly and much more politely.

Kasey grinned slightly as he blurted out his question. So like Lorenz. She sighed, looked out the window for a moment, then glanced back to him. Her gaze hardened slightly and she had a stubborn set to her mouth.
"Alright, so I know you saw, since I was quite onviously in the middle of the room when it happened. Nobody else knows about it and I plan to keep it that way. So please don't tell anyone. I'd likely get expelled or something for what I've learned."
She crossed her arms across her chest, her bright silver gaze on Lorenz. Kase was never really one for being subtle. She usually just spoke out, whenever something was bothering her. Huh, maybe that's why so many people avoided her.

Lorenz smiled at Kasey. So, that was what she was worried about. No one else knew that the girl could do that neat little trick. He shook his head slightly. "Tsk, tsk. Now, now, Kasey, learning things you shouldn't and hiding it from the school authorities. I would have thought better of you," he said in an obviously joking manner.
"You don't have anything to worry about. Personally, I couldn't care less what you turn yourself into. And I'm not at all surprised that rebel Kasey is hiding her little talent from the authorities." He smiled at the girl. Lorenz was not one to snitch on anyone for anything, especially something like this.
"So, where'd ya learn that trick of yours?" he asked curious, raising an eyebrow. If it was something secret, then Lorenz couldn't help but wonder where the girl had picked it up at. He knew there was an animagus tutoring class, but obviously that wasn't where she learned it.

Kasey studied his gaze for a moment, then nodded. "Alright." She grinned and pushed some hair out of her eyes. "Rebel Kasey is right. The Ministry or this school doesn't need to know everything about me." Kase winked and laughed.
"Where I learned it? Well I'm sorry Zenny, but that's a secret." She pressed a finger to her lips and smirked. "Only for the smartest of us I'm afraid. I've been sworn to secrecy. And you know how well I can keep a secret." If somoene had a secret to tell, Kasey was usually the one to blab it to. She had that unnatural ability to hold a secret without any desire to tell anyone. Strange, because she was a girl and all.
Kasey glanced over to one of the windows, noticing another owl swooping in. She flicked her gaze to the door, making sure no one was overhearing their conversation, then looked back over to Lorenz. "Why do you ask? Eager to learn all of my tricks?" Another smirk flashed across her face.

"Quite true, they need not know everything," Lorenz agreed with a chuckle. He wasn't surprised that she didn't answer him. It was just like her to have such a secret. But, he was annoyed with her calling him Zenny. "Fine, keep your secret, no problem, but don't call me Zenny," he said in an almost threatening voice. He had never been fond of his name, but Zenny was actually worse than Lorenz.
"No, Kasey, I can wait to learn to turn myself into an animal," he said with a shrug. Learning to be an animagus was something that Lorenz had always planned on doing, but was in no particular hurry to do. "I was just curious is all," he flippantly. He did want to know, but he knew that Kasey was an excellent secret keeper, and he didn't have the energy to waste trying to get her to answer.

"Fine, I won't call you Zenny then. But you do need a nickname." She tapped her chin thoughtfully and stared up at the ceiling. "Ren perhaps? Naw, too girly." Her brow furrowed slightly and she looked back over to him. "I'll come up with one later. Too much of a strain now."
Her eyebrow arched delicately at his attempt to make himself sound passive about the whole animagus thing. "Uh-huh. And I'm the Sugarplum fairy. Come off it Lorenz, I know you want to learn." She grinned, glanced at the door again, and looked back at him. Never could be too careful.
"Alright, maybe I can tell you just a little bit. Since you know, you promised to keep a secret and all. A favor for a favor as I always say. So in exchange for your promise, I'll tell you a little secret about it. Fair enough then?" Kasey grinned, her eyes sparkling. It was hard to resist one of her offers.

Lorenz shook his head slightly as it seemed that Kasey had made up her mind to give him a nickname. Who knew what that girl would come up with? Oh well, there was no use arguing with her as stubborn as she was.
"Fair enough, Sugarplum," Lorenz answered with just the slightest bit of sarcasm in his voice. "Just kidding," he added quickly. His curiousity was running rather wild at the moment wondering what she would tell him. He certainly didn't want to anger her so that she wouldn't tell him.
"So, what is it that you have to tell me?" he asked the curiousity in his voice very clear. It was good of her to make an agreement, even though, he wouldn't have told anyone anyway. Lorenz was happy that Kasey was such a fair person.

Kasey grinned and tapped her fingers lightly on her arm. "Hmm, let's see..." She pressed her lips together slightly, trying to decide what to tell him and how exactly to go by it.
"Well, as you should probably already know, if you fail, badly, it can be deadly. So this is very very dangerous stuff to be messing with." Kasey flicked her gaze to him for a moment, before returning to look out the window.
"It's easiest to do it with someone, so they can tell you if you have it or not. Make sure you concentrate on the form you want and only that, otherwise it might backfire. Your magic has to be very powerful, and your concentration impeccable." She looked back at him now, her gaze hardening slightly. "Make sure your partner is someone you trust, otherwise they might blab all over the place. And that would be extremely bad." Kasey's grin returned. "And that's all I'm going to tell you, unless you plan on doing more favors for me, or possibly saving my life, or something like that."

Lorenz laughed at the girl a bit. "Wow, that was helpful," he said in a sarcastic tone. He shook his head a bit. Her advice would have been good for someone who was actually trying to learn to become an animagus; he, however, was not.
He thought for a moment. "Well, I do suppose that eventually, I'll end up doing another favor for you." Lorenz shrugged slightly at this thought. Kasey was an independant person, but everyone needed help from time to time.
"Or if you end up in a deadly situation, I would be more than happy to save your life. Either way, it doesn't really matter. Like I said, I'm in no hurry to learn to turn myself into an animal."

Kasey grinned, laughing slightly. "I think it's the best being an animagus. You get to be something that you weren't before. New senses, new feelings. And you see everything in a different way. It's amazing!"
She grinned and twirled her wand between her fingers. "Sorry, I got rather carried away there. It tends to happen sometimes." Kase laughed and looked out the window once more. "Hmm, getting late." She murmured to herself, before looking back at Lorenz.
"Well, I think we only have a few more moments before it's time for supper. And I must say I am starving." Kasey laughed and placed her hands on her stomach. "If I'm not too careful I'll start to get fat."

Tori looked around the dark corridor and shut herself into a broom closet quickly. Hopefully no one had seen her. She closed her eyes and instantly turned into a wild dog, her fur spotted with black, brown, and white. Tori leaped up and pushed the handle of the door, making it open up. Everyone was in the Great Hall as it was almost dinner time. TuTu's stomach growled but she ignored it. She needed to find Kase, making sure she wasn't up to something bad.
Trotting down the corridors, Tori picked up Kasey's scent, quickly running up the stairs to the owlery. As soon as she reached the door, TuTu heard voices, including Kasey's. Switching back into her human form, Tori opened up the door and peeked in.
Owl's were fluttering everywhere. In the middle of the room stood Kase and Lorenz. She recognized the boy, having talked to him a couple of times. "So what have we here?" Tori asked with a mischievous smile on her face. Her dark brown hair was loosely curled with red streaks in it. Tori wore a long sleeve, red dress that landed right above her knees. Black leggings were underneath, cut off by tall black boots. Her Gryffindor robes were tossed over this outfit.

Kasey's gaze flicked to Tori, and her nose twitched ever so slightly. She knew it was Tori before she even came in. The fact that Kase had been an animagus so long had heightened her senses. A grin flashed across her face and she lunged at Tori, wrapping her arms around her.
"TuTu!" Kasey twisted back and forth as she clung to Tori. "I tripped on Lorenz's books and then we started to talk." Her lower lip jutted out as she held Tori out at arm's length. "And I got scared when I tripped so I kinda, er, well you know. So now he knows. About me that is." She looked over to Lorenz, grinned, then turned back to Tori.
"Oh, and that rumbling you hear is probably my stomach. I'm staarrvviinnng!" She pretended to moan and clutch onto her stomach.
