The tiny Heavely Laurent, skipped down the grand staircase towards the Great Hall humming to herself, reaching the door she looked up, "Wow.... that's a big door!" she said, brown eyes wide. Gripping the handle she pulled hard as she could, the door creaked open, maybe an inch. She pulled harder, nothing. After several futile minutes of pulling she let go and pouted at the door. "Meanie door! Making yourself too heavy for me to open!" she said, glaring at said door. Sighing, she reached out and gripped the handle once more, she pulled and pulled, still nothing. Sighing in frustration she let go, and looked around for someone to help her open the door. I really need to start working out a little, maybe opening a door wouldn't be such a problem... she thought as she began to tug once more. Of course, Heavenly was a tiny girl, and the door was very big and heavy, which made it very difficult for someone Heavenly's size to open it. Now, if there were only an older student around to help her....

Half asleep and not really sure what time of day it was Girty Hubbles wondered down from the charms class room, stumbling down the last few steps and somehow managed to keep her balance and reach the ground floor still on her own two feet. The problem for Girty was that no one else was around to see her amazing save…well all but a very small looking Ravenclaw who seemed to having trouble opening a door of all things.
A frown spread across the Hufflepuff’s face and Girty slowly wondered over towards her scratching the side of her head messing up her hair even more. Trying to stifle a yawn Girty leaned over the head of the girl and reached out for the handle giving it a sharp tug and with a loud creek the door slowly opened reviling the Great Hall and too much like for Girty’s liking. Wincing because of the sunlight was hurting her eyes Girty looked down at the Ravenclaw and gave her the best smile she could muster at this hour of the day.
“It is all in the wrist action.” Girty mumbled as she looked back at the door. “You need to twist the handle slightly to the left otherwise you will never open it.”

Heavenly was just about to give up, when a hand reached out and twisting the handle slightly to the left, opened the door. Heavenly looked up into the face of a Hufflpeuff. "Thank you! I thought I'd never get in!" She smiled her toothy smile, "I'm Heavenly. Heavenly Laurent." she said, cheerful as ever.

Well Girty would give it to the small kid, she was happy even for this time of the day, she really must find out what time it was otherwise she will be hours out for the rest of the day and wondering why it was going dark at three afternoon instead of five. At the Ravenclaw’s thanks Girty nodded her head and was only half listening as the girl introduced herself, the last name not ringing any bells in her tired state.
“Always happy to help. If you ever get stuck again just call out Girty and I will appear like a helpful fairy…well I want…but if you shout Girty at the top of your lungs we all know who you will need.”
Girty could have carried on with her ramblings but her eyes had drifted over to the tables and the food that littered them. Licking her lips the Hufflepuff was already working out what she was going to be piling on her plate but she then realised that she was still standing in the doorway with the Ravenclaw. Stepping to one side Girty gave her a small smile and moved her hands as to signal for Heavenly to enter.
“After you.”

Heavenly's bright smile lit up her small face. "Girty? Girty Hubbles? My cousin told me about you!" The tiny Ravenclaw looked up at Girty, "You're really pretty." she said with a smile.

Girty’s attention had wondered back to the stacks on pancakes that where on the house tables waiting for the Ravenclaw to head through the doors when she heard Heavenly’s voice once more and also her own name. Slowly tearing herself away from the food Girty looked down at the small girl with a slight frown as first of all the girl mentioned that her cousin had told her a lot about her and in this small moment of confusion Girty almost missed the compliment being shot her way.
The only person who ever told her she was pretty was Alex and she took everything he said with a pinch of salt as he was clearly bias, so to hear it from someone else actually took Girty by surprise. Her cheeks flushed a light shade of pink and with a small cough Girty tried to move back to what she had said before about her cousin.
“Your cousin? Sorry Heavenly I am a bit slow this morning…who is your cousin?”
Girty felt a little stupid as she had already forgotten the girls last name so she could not even have a proper think on it all. Knowing her luck it would be one of her closest friends and she would have to try and stutter out an apology later on to try and cover up for her mistake.

Heavenly smiled again. "Ashton Laurent. You probably know him as Ash."

“Ashton!”
Girty shouted the name out loud as soon as Heavenly said it. She got a few looks from the other students in the hall as she disturbed them from their food and private conversations. But Girty did not care she just could not believe she had not made the connection between Ashton and Heavenly when she first mentioned her last name, although no matter how much he told her and she repeated it to herself she would also automatically think Ashton McLane.
“Yeah I know Ash.” Girty said a little quieter giving a nervous look at the people on the tables behind her who were still giving her evils. “But never trust anything he says about me, he is under the strict impression that Ravenclaw’s are better then Hufflepuff’s”
With a light chuckle Girty ran her fingers through her fringe and quickly blew it out of her eyes almost instantly. Her stomach was starting to rumble again and her taste buds were tingling at the prospect of pancakes covered in syrup. Glancing over her shoulder to the almost deserted Hufflepuff table Girty looked back at Heavenly and gave her a warm smile.
“Would you like to join me for Breakfast? I am sure all three of the other half dead Hufflepuff’s would not mind you sitting with us…not that I would sit by them they talk far to much about things I really do not wish to hear.”
Girty could not help but recall one lunch time when she over heard them saying what they would do to a rather beautiful Gryffindor if they got her drunk enough…quite impure thoughts for Hufflepuff’s she had to say...she just guessed they were joking.

Heavenly smiled at Girty's reaction, "Well, we Laurent's are proud Ravenclaws, just like you Hubbles' are proud Hufflepuffs." She looked over at the group of Hufflepuffs when Girty asked if she'd like to join them for breakfast. "Sure, I'd love to."

Girty playfully rolled her eyes are Heavenly mentioned about the Laurent family being proud Ravenclaw’s. It seemed to be a debate that she often found herself getting into and when two houses were so alike like Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw she sometimes wondered if their was any point. (But this is said from the girl who always as an item of yellow and has specially made Hufflepuff socks!) Today was going to be a day when Girty did not argue, the small girl put up a good point about the Hubbles family being proud of their heritage and there could be no sensible comeback to that comment.
When the Ravenclaw agreed to join her for Breakfast Girty gave her a small smile before leading the way to the Hufflepuff table, picking up the closest plate and occasionally stopping along the way to pick up the odd bit of food here and there until she reached her spot on the table. She had been sitting in this very same place for her seven years and the table was starting to show signs, there was no ‘Girty woz ere’ slogans written upon it just the odd food stain, the chips in the woodwork from the countless times she had dropt her cutlery and the peculiar markings on the edge from where she had dug her fingerer nails into the wood.
Slipping some pancakes on to the slightly overcrowd plate Girty poured herself a rather large cup of tea before looking over at Heavenly and grinned at her thinking it best the strike up a conversation.
“So Heavenly what do you think of Hogwarts?”

Heavenly followed Girty down the table, putting food onto her plate along the way like Girty did. She smiled ay Girty's question, "I like it so far. The only problem is everything looks so big, and me being as little as I am, big things tend to intimidate me a little. Not much though."
