Emmy stepped into the library. The library had a mysterious atmosphere, all the pages of books she had not yet read. She wondered if she could ever read them all, she wished she could. Did the wisest woman or man of the world exist. If it existed was it a muggle or a witch or wizard.Could you ever know all the knowledge which was created. You knew everything if you knew everything of every single person in the world how he brushes his or her teeth how he or she thinks about a certain subject and what he or she is doing right now. If such a person existed, didn't it get mad of all the knowledge coming into its head? Emmy was a Ravenclaw but didn't wish to be the wisest person of the entire world, entire universum or whatever would be next. Emmy walked to one of the bookshelfs and gave her eyes some time to read all the titles. She didn't even know what kind of book she would read. Leprechauns,Fairies,Demonic Creatures,Trolls,Animagus' for dummies, mermaids to much titles! Her head was spinning because she wanted to read them all!Emmy her eye fell on a purple book, the title was in silver shiny letters. The book its title was 'Magic in the Oldest Times' why did this book interest her,she had History of Magic so why would she pick a book like this? It didn't matter she wanted to read it like ASAP. She almost ran to one of the tables where nobody sat.She opened the book and a dusty cloud filled her space.Emmy sneezed as the dust came into her nose. She immediately looked if there was no fierce looking Library miss.As she saw nothing she started to read the first sentence. How it all started, how interesting. Emmy read on and let the yet unknown knowledge come into her head.

Scott was doing some research in the Library on Runes. He hated the class and everything about it. The only reason he went was to see his friends. He grabbed an overused book from the shelf and headed towards the mass of tables in the middle of the library.
Looking around, he spotted a Ravenclaw girl that he hadn't met yet. He strolled over in her direction, drumming lightly on his book. He sighed and took the seat opposite of her. Scott looked at her, she seemed to be consumed in her book, "Whatcha reading?" he asked her quietly.

Emmy had slightly noticed that someone else had entered the Library. In the corner of her eyes she saw the shinings of a red and gold crest, the light played happily with it.Emmy ignored it as the person passed.
The book she was reading must have been very old, not only because of its dusty appeareance but also because the sentences were long and difficult. This didn't make it less interesting.A book about the past written in the very past. What is the past, one second ago or years/centuries ago.
Emmy felt someone breathing in her neck. Emmy had a sudden fear for authority so she stayed focussed on the book without any doubt. When a boy's voice asked her what she was reading she slightly turned her head.Emmy saw a tall boy with brown hair standing very close to her. He looked a bit bored. He had a book under his arm of which Emmy couldn't read the title. Emmy said with a voice which was meant brave but was not likely to sound that way: 'I am reading just a book .. about history.'Emmy clenched her book, her intention was that the boy should read the title so she wouldn't have to tell it. When a silence occured like someone had used the sonorus charm Emmy asked, to break it,'And what were you planning to read?'Emmy despaired if she sounded right, did she act too detached?

Scott smirked, "History, eh? Interesting. Never did care for it. I say leave the past in the past! We're living in the present, things have changed," she said with a laugh.
When she had asked him what book he was reading he held the book up. He gazed at the cover for a moment, unable to read the worn title he shrugged, "It's on Runes, that's all I need to know. Never cared for the subject, don't know why I insist on trying to pass the damn class. I guess its out of fear of my mum, you know how they are," Scott stood up and cleared his throat. He attempted to mimic his mother, "Scott! If I see anymore trolls, why, you'll be grounded into the next century!" Scott laughed, "The woman scares me," he said shaking his head.

Emmy laughed, its funny to hear how other people struggle with their mothers. The boy was right about History, leave it in the past. Although teachers always say we learn from the past. As far as she remembered she had only learned to beware of war with goblins. Emmy would never be a soldier, so a war with goblins.Ancient Runes was one of Emmy's favourite classes she told nobody,it was not that tough to have it as favourite. Runes tell us about the deep core of magic they are pretty important in our daily life. Emmy smiled at the boy once more she turned back to the subject mothers because she and the boy fully agreed about that.
With a confident and determined voice she said:''Mothers, terrible creatures who rule our daily lifes, they don't understand that we wanna fly away(literally in her case) from them. We need to discover our self, they don't give us the chance.I can't imagine me being a horrible mother, I am not a mother figure at all!'' A thought of her cleaning a baby its diapers went through her head, disgusting!Less determined and really less confident she said:''I am Emmy Stormbranch, and may I ask who this boy is who suddenly appeared and I am now talking to?''Emmy changed her studying position into an interested position. This meant head a little bit down, eyebrows up and eyes glancing. She played a little with a curl of her hair.

Jac had just been mulling over her Ancient Runes homework and was about to start pulling out her hair. It was a dead boring subject and she reminded herself everyday that had her father not insisted she take the silly subject she would be happy. (That's not to say Jac wasn't happy because she constantly was laughing and smiling but whenever Ancient Runes was put into the mix things never went well.)
She had packed up her study materials and made her way to the library. There was this brilliant book she had discovered when she still enjoyed Runes and it was always helpful. She was going to track it down and get this work done as soon as she could. Entering the Library, Jac ignored Marsh and went straight to the section she knew the book was. As she stormed there she walked past a Claw and a Gryffindor she knew. Not stopping to chat, Jac went straight to the shelf and reached for book where it usually was but it was gone.
Jac sighed heavily and dropped her arm to her side. Leaning to the side Jac looked past the shelf and to Scott and the Claw. Scott had a book under his arm that looked like the one she was looking for. Swinging her leg so that she was strolling towards the two, Jac grinned widely. "Hiya Scott," Jac chimed, "you seen Advanced Rune Translations? It's an old book, looks like the one you've got under your arm." Jac was not subtle and stared at the book as she came to a halt next to the two. She looked at the Claw and held out her hand, grinning. "Name's Jac by the way. And sorry if I'm interrupting something ... special?" Jac smiled at Scott and winked at him playfully.

Emmy laughed and said with a smile: "As far as I can read runes.. I think you, Scott isn't it? Have the book.. Jac is looking for."Emmy silently looked at the girl who just came in the library with a rush.Where was all this rush for, secret meetings? She had to think about the way Harry Potter and his friends had discovered important things here, she liked the Harry Potter story it's about 100 years ago but still is living, even Scott would like it. The girl was a Gryffindor, but do we have any dark wizards to beat nowadays? "Do you need it very urgent, because you acted that way."Emmy tried to get some information out of Jac. Emmy always thought Gryffindors were up to some adventure they were born for it sort of. Emmy was a little bit jealous about that, she was intelligent but not that brave, although she never experienced something exciting..

Jac couldn't help but laugh. "Sorry bout that," she chuckled and relaxed her shoulders, breathing slowly. Her hair changed colour from its anxious purple to its usual autumn reds. "I don't mean to come across like that. I just don't understand why Donnelly expects us to know everything without teaching us anything and it gives me a little anxiety is all. Been working on this one problem all afternoon and ..." she sighed, casting her eyes to the ground, "it's getting to me."
She smiled at Scott and simply pulled the book from him. Her smile fell. "It ain't the book," she sighed and gave it back to him haphazardly. She sighed and pulled a chair, sat on it with her legs around the back. "Ah well," she sighed, crossing her arms around the back of the chair and resting her chin on her arms. "It was worth the try." She tilted her head towards the Claw and smiled, "you take Runes?"

Scott was about to introduce himself but before he could open his mouth, Jac was right beside him and talking. He smiled at her then looked down at the book, "Oh, you mean this one?" he asked holding up the book. "That's what the title is?" he asked staring at the cover trying to find the name of the book. Scott laughed, "Yeah, No, you weren't interrupting anything. We were just talking and discussing, well, mothers I think it was," he said with a slight laugh.
Scott looked at Emmy, "And yes, my name's Scott. Scott Brooks," he said with slight smirk. Scott returned his attention to Jac, "You want the book?" he asked her with a mischeivous grin. When Jac grabbed the book from his he shrugged, "Fine, you can have it then!' he said hesitantly. When she declared it wasn't the book he sighed. When she gave him the book back, he grabbed it quickly, "Thank you!" he said putting the book on the chair besides him. He watched her take a seat, "Yeah, sure, you can join us," he said talking to the book.

This conversation turned out way different than she had expected. She tried not to be rude and said: "Well, Jac doesn't know my name so I'll introuduce myself.. again. I am Emmy Stormbranch..I also take Runes..I don't know the teacher very well so do you have any 'nice' information about her or .. him?" Teachers could be horrible, she knew that she didn't hope this Runes professor was like Vance,Emmy didn't like him.Fagin wasn't that charming at all. Emmy was a Ravenclaw but didn't want to be a teacher at all. She actually didn't know what to do after her graduation. This was case for later she now had to focus on other things.

Jac laughed at Scott. Yes, at him. She wasn't sure when she had seen him laugh but he always made her laugh. Sighing, Jac turned back to Emmy and smiled. "Guess I came at an inopportune moment, then, huh?" she chortled, when she heard the two introduce themselves. It was great, Jac found, to met new people and how she seemed to meet people was never dull. Always a decent story in there. She smiled widely and shifted slightly in her seat.
A subject she could talk your ear off on was teachers. Jac had many opinions on the teachers of Hogwarts and for much of the time it was good. In this case it wasn't really any sort of comment. "Donnelly?" Jac said with a slight shrug, "he's alright. Young, and I guess that with us as a class he doesn't handle us as well as Gainnes did but he gets by. Nice bloke though." Jac couldn't make any other sort of comment having skipped a lot of his classes.
