Being new to a school would freak out any normal teen. Then again, Penelope wasn't a normal teen. She was spontaneous, carefree, and thought that chocolate milk came from chocolate cows! (She really didn't believe this, but it was fun pretending to do so) It just went to show, that her imagination was something one could add to. And finding out that she was a witch, only gave her more crazy ideas. More possible ways to bother her beloved cousins.
Penni wore a warm smile, despite the windy weather. The wind blew her mother's coat somewhat, pushing her along with it. Stumbling slightly, the smile never seemed to fade. Her already bubbly personality only seemed to brighten more after her family had moved back to England after those horrid, depressing seven years. Her mum was still glum, even though it had been a good few months since the death of her own mother. Of course Penelope was upset by this, but she wouldn't let it show. Especially not at the cost of enjoying her new school.
Looking around, Penni decided she would relax, and enjoy the weather while it was still decent. She hadn't exactly figured out where all her classes were, so she had an excuse to be here if someone caught her. It was a lame excuse, and if she were caught, she would most likely be sent to whatever class she was supposed to be in. Seeing a nearby tree, Penelope wandered over to it, and leaned against it. Slowly, she began sliding down into a sitting position, enjoying the fact the tree was scratching her back. Her mum's old coat wasn't exactly the softest.
Pulling out her wand, she flicked it back a forth a couple times, thinking of a spell to cast. After a while, her smile turned into a grin. "Avis." She mumbled, and soon, a small flock of birds shot out, flying about. Laughing, she watched as they began flying away, escaping the female Gryffindor. Wand still in hand, Penelope leaned her head back, and watched as the birds flew off.
Almost as soon as the birds were out of view, she felt that there was some one near, standing near her. Keeping a calm expression, Penni was almost tempted to see if some one was standing there. A small internal conflict went on, and she soon chose to just sit there, relaxing. If there was someone there, then fine. If there wasn't, it would prove Penelope was being paranoid.
