Ash just scoffed, "Oh please, Ravenclaw could beat Hufflepuff and Gryffindor! Not to mention Slytherin as well." He smiled smugly, "After all, we are the brains of the school!"

Girty pulled her arm back and was about to let the stone go already visualising in her mind the stone skimming across the still waters but when the Gryffindor spoke the reply he gave surprised Girty so much that she lost all focus and the stone ended up crashing into the water sinking straight to the bottom of the lake causing ripples to disturb the still waters. Turning around on the spot with a face full of surprise Girty looked over at Leon finding it hard not to smile.
“I take my hat off to you Leon...” She paused and rolled her eyes up to the top of her head “...if I had a hat that is.” Girty laughed to herself but Ashton soon gave the response she had been expecting. “Ashton dearest why do we always have this fight? Hufflepuff beat Ravenclaw in everything we do it is just the way things are.”
Girty gave him a small smile before turning back around swooping her left hand low to pick up another stone. Then in a quick fluid motion her arm was pulled back and the stone realised, it skimming perfectly across the water a good three times before disappearing into the water. Nodding her head in appreciation for the successful skim Girty turned back around to the younger lads and folded her arms.
“So how are we today lads and how are the other half’s.”
Girty gave a small chuckle at this last question, it felt rather strange that all three of them were actually in relationships. She had never actually seen Ash and Cristen together nor had see seen Jac since…well since forever but Girty knew most of the rumors spreading around the school.

Ash just sighed and shook his head. "Girty dearest, how many times must we go through this, Ravenclaw will always be better than Hufflpuff. We may not have the most house points, but we are the smartest." He smirked, "Wit beyond measure is a man's greatest pleasure." he said quoting his house motto.
((Not sure if that's exaxtly right, but close enough!"

When Girty mentioned the 'other halves' Leon's face changed from a simple smile to a full blown grin. He hadn't seen her all day... "I have no idea Girt, you've probably seen her today, I haven't seen her all day" he replied, pulling at the grass. "And in reply to your first question, i'm great of course" he said with a smile meaning he was great because of Jac.
(urgh sucks im so sorry)

Ash smiled at Girty's 'other halves' question. "He's fine. Haven't seen him all day though." He turned to Leon, "You're with Jac right?"

“Yes Ashton you may have intelligence and the ability to make people laugh but Hufflepuff’s make loyal and trustworthy friends and although we may not be as naturally smart as you guys we work double as hard to get to the same level.”
Girty gave him a small smile, she guessed that was why the two houses did get along so well, even with all the rivalry if you actually looked at the friendship groups the majority of pairings were Ravenclaw’s and Hufflepuff’s. Although Alex and herself where an example of this the two men she had sitting in front of her seemed to be going for the same house pairing. Leon and Jac were both proud Gryffindors and when Leon spoke Girty could see the joy on his face and she could not help but grin along, he really did like her and it was nice to see Jac finally find someone (although now with them both being in a relationship it did blow their whole plan of being crazy old cat ladies together…)
“Surprising or not Leon I have not seen Jac in…well a very long time. Next time you see her you must point her in my direction otherwise it will be another month before we get around to talking.”
Girty gave a small laugh, her a Jac were the closed of friends but they were both equally inapt of keeping in contact with each other so unless someone forced them together or it was by chance they could go weeks on end with out talking to each other. Ashton then piped up and said that Cristian was alright but then yet again he too had not seen him…what was with this school and communication problems?
“I think we all need to make more of an effort to met up with our loved ones…we all seem rather pathetic at it.”

Ash stared out at the deceptively calm waters of the lake, eyes glazed over in a daydream, vaguely listening to Girty, it was only when she mentioned somehing about them all being rubbish at meeting up with their loved ones, did he snap out of his daydream and look up, "Um, sorry, what did you say? I wasn't really listening." he said with a blush and slight laugh, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.

Leon gave a loud laugh when Girty didn't know where Jac was either. He rubbed a bit of dirt off his knee, and turned to look at her. "Well, Typical Jac aye? She's probably off terrorising someone else for a change" he joked. He decided to join her in the stone skimming, picked up a small flat stone next to him and stood up next to Girty at the water's edge. Freeing the stone from dirt with his thumb, he skimmed it with a strong arm and watched it spread far before it skimmed the water 3 or 4 times before successfully sinking.
“I think we all need to make more of an effort to met up with our loved ones…we all seem rather pathetic at it.”
This statement from Girty made him laugh hard. So much infact that the next stone he threw at the same moment sunk straight away. "Yeah, I think your right Girt, as per damn usual." he gave her a cheeky grin. Then Ashton chimed in as he'd obviously been in a daydream. "Wake up Ash, were you off dreaming about Cristian again?" he turned to him.

Ash blushed when Leon mentioned Cris, "Of course not." he replied, looking everywhere except at Leon and Girty, "What makes you think that?" Ash sighed as he looked up at the sky, it was starting to turn gray and gloomy. Rain was coming. Looking back down, he twisted a blade of grass between his fingers, then tossed it to the ground. His legs crossed Indian-style and he rested an elbow on his knee, using the hand to rest his chin on, while the fingers of the other hand drummed on the dirt in front of him. "So, anyone have an idea about what they're going to do after graduation?"

When Ash finally awoke from his daydreaming which Leon assumed was about his boyfriend Cristian. Smirking and shaking his head he gave a small laugh. "Oh come off it, you obviously were. Things are good then in paradise?" he grinned. Ash then asked about Leon and Girt's plans for after graduation, and Leon began to beam. "Well of course i'm going to hopefully join a major league quidditch team" he carried his smile throughout his talking. He thought about this for a moment, and wondered what Jac would be doing. "What about you two?" he looked at Girt, then back to Ash.

Ash smiled, "Yeah. I guess they are." He nodded when Leon mentioned Quidditch, "Sounds cool. I don't know what I'm doing. Have a few ideas, but not many."

Ash shrugged, "I don't know really. I thought about opening up a clothing store, but now I'm not sure. What do you have in mind?"

"You've already asked" leon laughed. "Wake up Ash, stop daydreaming!"

Ash blinked. "I did? Oh. Sorry, I have a bad short-term memory. Either that, or I wasn't paying attention."
