So, perhaps sitting on the stair railing was not the safest thing for her to do, but by golly it was fun as hell. Her legs swayed back and forth, with some unknown rhythm in her head. Students were staring at her like she was insane, but she didn't really mind. They would learn to deal with her, sooner or later. Everyone did.
Collette yawned and jumped off from her perch. She had nothing to do, and obviously she had no real tests or anything to look over because she was not yet a teacher. She covered her mouth as she yawned, then stretched her arms above her head. Colle could go check on Gabriel, but he would probably kill her for 'intruding'. Did he forget all that she had done for him over the past years? Hmph, ungreatful.
Let's see, what could one do in the school anyway? Students were rushing off to classes at the moment, and Colle's 'mentor' was no where to be found. Why not see what was outside then? She half wished they had a holding pen filled with dragons, but that would be too dangerous for the students.
Drawing out a long sigh, she stepped outside. A rush of cold air hit her instantly, and a grin washed across her face. She loved sensations like that. Walking into a hot room after being deathly cold, or walking into the snow after being extremely warm. It was just another one of those strange things she found interesting.
After walking aimlessly for a while, Collette found herself standing in front of the school's lake. Her hands were shoved in her pockets to protect them from the warmth. A strong breeze blew past her, blowing her hair to the side of her face. Her stance did not waver though, which was quite surprising for her slight figure.

Post by Professor William Vaid on May 4, 2008 23:29:36 GMT
It had been a boring day for Will, he had to teach one lesson and that was first thing in the morning. The rest of the day so far had been consumed by marking mounds of essays that had been produced by the students who attended Occlumency classes. He was trying to make it up to them for them being messed about and learning pretty much nothing from their previous Professors, who all seemed to of just disappeared off the face of the earth. It seemed like a bit of a curse put on the job, but he was determined to break it, and he was determined to stay here for as long as possibly. Hopefully he would be here until he was old and grey.
Under the mountain of papers piled up on his desk, the room had become hot and stuffy and was making him lose his concentration. Pushing his hair away from his forehead, he puffed out a breath of hot air and he began pulling at his tie to stop it restricting around his neck. Looking around his desk, he knew he was going to be getting nowhere fast with the marking of these essays, and dropped his quill down on the one infront of him before pushing his chair out and walking out of the classroom, taking care to lock the door before any students came in and tried to change or mark their own grades.
More or less jogging, he rushed down the corridors desperate to get some fresh air. The hotness from his room still seemed to cling to his skin, and he was in need of a cool breeze to get rid of it. Pushing open the entrance door, he made his way down the Lawns headed towards the Lake. The cool breeze from the lake was most refreshing and it also helped that the view was beautiful.
Noticing a blonde woman overviewing the lake, he smiled to himself. Maybe he wasn’t the only one who was feeling suffocated in the school. Walking to stand beside her, he looked over the lake with his hands joined behind his back in a casual manner, before glancing over to her and flashing her a friendly smile. “If i’d of stayed in there any longer I would of suffocated” he said in a joking way.

There were times when the thought hit her that her brother knew far too much about her. This was one of those times as she was walking across the lawns staring at a new pair of white gloves with a little smile on her face. Belated Christmas present, very much like him, but it was still stunning how much she appreciated them. It was the little things in life that made her happy, and if she thought her fingers looked amazingly delicate in these gloves, then life was good. Perhaps that was a little too obsessive-compulsive or maybe even a little too vain, but it was how she thought. And yet, at the same time, she was terrible at taking complements.
Shaking her head so that the wind caught her bangs and blew them out of her eyes, she scanned across the grounds and saw groups of students all huddled together trying to stay warm rather than just going inside and a few younger students were having a snowball fight. Childish, but May couldn't help but smile and wish she was ten years younger so she could join in. Unsurprisingly, there wasn't another teacher outside and May frowned. 'Stupid, responsible teachers. Always doing their marking and lesson plans, or going out and getting laid. Whoops, didn't mean that one.'
Taking another glance across the edge of the lake, she had to do a little double-take at the spotting of long blonde hair that seemed oddly familiar. There was something nostalgic about the girl and it was obvious, even this far away, that she wasn't a student. Maybe that was because she wasn't wearing the school robes? But May, not doing things the easy way, knew this because the girl was simply not of the stature of someone 17 or younger.
Mayella pushed her hands through the tough fabric of her cloak pockets and walked over towards the women and spotted another teacher heading the same way in the corner of her eye. 'Will Vaid, occlumency, oh great.' He reminded her too much of Dan, and since Dan's flaming Hufflepuff pride annoyed her, he did as well. "Good'ay, Will." She said pleasantly before turning her head with a flick of her long, black hair to the source of her nostalgia. Vaid was an odd one, any way and this theory was only reaffirmed by her overhearing the word 'suffocate'. Now, that is one amazing pick-up line. Not.
Collette Clowes, now, this is the shock of a lifetime and required one of her nicer greetings for old friends "Colle, what are you doing here,? You crazy fool!" She said with a little squeal of enthusiasm that was probably scary to any onlooker.

What would be a good word to describe how she was feeling? Bored perhaps. But, she wasn't dreadfully bored now, because she was listening to the students ramble on an on about random stuff that was going on in their lives. A small smile graced her lips as she remembered her own days in Hogwarts. Walking around like she owned the school. Ah, good times.
Someone had taken the spot next to her, and it took her a moment to notice it. She glanced out of the corner of her eye at the man, and one eyebrow raised slightly. Smooth opening line Vaid, smooth. Colle turned her head back to the lake so the man couldn't see her smirk. He sort of reminded her of the guys back at school.
"A lot of things to go over? Or your students getting the best of you?"
Was she questioning his masculinity? I believe she is! But, that was Collette, always throwing in the hidden sarcasm. Another voice came from behind, and she almost screamed on the spot when she heard it. The dragon fanatic whirled around and grinned to find Mayella Reed standing before her.
"May Reed? I haven't seen you in forever! How you been sweet?"
She placed one hand on her hip and grinned at the girl. Now, one would ask, why were they both freaking out over each other? Well, back at school, May and Colle had been nearly joined at the hip. They both shared the same views on a lot of things, and were not ones to be messed with. They were the cause of some of the 'incidents' with a few troublesome boys. They deserved it anyway.
"I'm here as an apprentice for a teaching job. Just got back from Romania you know. Missing my dragons already."
A small pout graced her lips, and she glanced back at the man who was still standing by them. Oh, right..he was still there.
"Oh dear I've been terribly rude. I'm Collette Clowes."
