Evelyn moved some of the hair out of her eyes with a simple flick of her hand. She could feel several eyes on her back as she turned away from the stairs that lead down to the dungeons. It was sad really, that people were still surprised she was a Slytherin. Could they not really tell?
With a sigh, she turned around another corner and pushed open one of the doors that led outside of the school. Today had been such a bore, there hardly any real challenges in any of her classes. Most of it was already things her mother had taught her about. Her mother always had believed in a very high education, hence why she hadn't trusted Hogwarts with most of her daughter's teachings.
Throughout her life, Eve had been given private tutors, instead of trusting the school to teach her what they thought she 'needed to know'. One subject she accelled at was Occlumency. None of her tutors had managed to break into her thoughts, much to her mother's amusement.
It was a thing that baffled most of her tutors. How could one girl block off her mind in such a way? The real reason probably lay in the fact that she never really connected with anyone. Sure, she had 'friends' and people she enjoyed to hang around with, but no one knew what went on in that mind of hers.
Evelyn shot a rather nasty glare in the direction of two First years sitting on one of the benches. They quickly scattered and she took a spot there. The one thing she hoped to acheive this year was her animagus form. Her last tutor had gotten too nervous around Eve, and quickly quit the job.
Filthy cowards.

After a rather displeasing letter from her mother, Erys Grace then realised that yet another one of her friends was an animagi. A leopard cub? Honestly, this was supposed to be her special ability, and now all her friends were into it. This was irritating, at best. So many people, so many strong minds.. They must have cheated their way in, surely. Ashlee was like, what, fifth year at the most? Greatly disturbed, the Slytherin queen had fled from the common room to take a quiet sanctuary in the courtyard. The soft, bubbling fountain soothed her, as did the gentle breeze and the wind whispering through the leaves.
While leaving the room and making the short journey outside, the look on her face was that of 'dont bother me'. Clearly it came across quite effectively, for no one strayed in front of her path or opened their mouths to speak. Not even her friends; it seemed as if they could tell something was bothering her. She was just really empathetic that way, being able to project her feelings without even realising it. But this little talent was far from her mind as she entered the courtyard - cat form, of course - before hopping on to the bench next to Evelyn. Erys didn't remember if she was new to her house, or just really shy, nor did she care. If she'd have to talk about her problems (be they very small, yet very troublesome) then it'd be with the one sitting beside her at the moment. She could tell this girl was like her in many ways, and that alone was comforting.
Changing back into her human form, slower than usual, Erys Grace sat cross-legged beside Evelyn, glancing over to give her one of those, 'sup?' looks. Only it was a little downcast, at least more than usual. She was still the alllmiiighttyyy Erys, just in a bitter mood.

Evelyn tilted her head back to rest it on the edge of the bench's back. Her only classes were later in the day, so she didn't have to worry about going off anywhere. If even she was late, it wasn't like she was going to miss anything. Her mother had gone to extremes lately to get her up and past all of her classes.
There was a stir somewhere nearby her, and Eve moved her head so she could see what caused the disturbance. A bengal cat, and more importantly, Erys Grace. Slytherin Prefect, and a seventh year like herself.
Now, the two had never spoken for long periods of time, perhaps just a small hello now and again. And, it was rather difficult to forget who Erys Grace was. She was the self-proclaimed Queen of the Slytherins, and no one seemed to have trouble with that. Either that or no one dared to challenge her authority.
At the glance, one of her eyebrows shifted a bit upward in question. Something had certainly annoyed the animagus girl today. It could be a number of things, but by the looks of it she seemed to have recieved some annoying news.
"By the looks of it, someone brought you some unfavorable news. Care to elaborate?"
A Gryffindor sat somewhat near them, and Eve quickly stole a glance in his direction. She knew the face, but the name seemed to have escaped her for the moment. Shaking her head slightly, Evelyn turned back to face Erys, the clearly annoyed animagus 'Queen'.

So it seemed they were being watched, if not partially. Erys Grace drummed her sharp fingernails against the stone bench, throwing a cold glare at the Gryffindork as if daring him to come over. Like she would tell him what was wrong. Not bothering to dwell on the matter of allowing him the chance to be 'in the know' so to speak, the Slytherin then turned her attention to Evelyn, "It seems there are so many animagi at this school.." Erys stated harshly, a malevolent gleam in her eyes. "There should be a rule on this kind of thing." Her special talent wasn't hers, any more. Mere children could learn it now. Well, against the rules, but still. They shouldn't be able to do it, they were all much too young.
"It ruffles my fur." Funny as the remark was, and though a small smile broke on her face, Erys was completely serious. "Surely you've seen the advances in number?" Oh, her mother would be simply thrilled to hear about this. Nay, she probably already knew, and was fuming about it in her offices at this precise moment.
