Simone had been stressing over a huge amount of papers that kept piling up on her desk. She heard a familiar voice, 'Told you I'd locate you somehow'. She smiled. "I didn't even hear you come in! How are you?" she asked Alex. She set her quill down for the first time in hours it seemed.

"That is because I am extra sneaky, auror training and such," he said smirking slightly.
"Fantastic," he said smiling. He glanced at her large stack. "And probably feeling marginally better than you are right now! Perhaps I should come back at a better time when you have less papers. You should have told me about your workload-I would've offered to help you instead." He said smiling slightly; he really was feeling unnaturally kind today.
"You do bring out the best in me," he said with a slight smirk. "I don't think I've been this friendly since I was 5 years old."

Simone had just quickly signed a piece of paper with a beautiful blue and purple pea feather quill as Alex said 'you do bring out the best in me'. She looked back up and him smirking. "Oh really? Well I should be around more often then, and you can help me actually, sign these, I was going to bring them over to you later" she smiled as she handed him a red folder. "The original notes of the Rogues case. You need to keep them" she added to her speech. "And you can forget about leaving me now, you've given me an excuse for a break" she said cheekily. "So what's cracking off with you going to Hogwarts then? Tea?" she questioned, standing up and going over to a side where there were a couple of cups and a kettle and she prepared two.

"Fantastic! I love practicing my signature," he said smirking slightly as she pushed a pile of papers in front of him.
"Indeed, I just might have to hang around you more often." He said smiling as he said the words and still in his mind was the constant fear of attachments. He mentally shook his head-he would really have to figure out someday that he wasn't important enough to be threatened. "It's been a while since I've been happy."
"Always happy to oblige," he said smirking. He laughed lightly, "Well I was picturing something a little stronger but I suppose tea will do."

Simone laughed as he asked for something stronger. "I've got all sorts, what would you like? I bet your a whisky man" she smiled at him, getting rid of the teacups. She decided she too would have something stronger also. "Why haven't you been happy?" she thought allowed leaning her back on the counter. She realised that she said it, but decided to ask him anyway.

He laughed, "Whiskey is alright if that's all you got but I prefer scotch." He said smiling as she bustled about her office. He signed a few more papers, deciding it was best to do so now.
He smiled at the question, "Perhaps unhappy is an incorrect term to use. Indifferent might be more precise and believe me," he said smirking slightly. "Indifferent is far worse than unhappy because if you're unhappy at least you're feeling something." He doubted she would be impressed by that answer. "I'm bitter and cynical. My blunt honest and abrupt nature tend to turn most people against interacting with me. Apparently it's unnerving to be around someone who tells the truth all the time." Alex grinned wickedly, "It's also why the ministry loves me. Much easier to have someone around who cares not where his life brings him or what he does."
"So how's your life been? Not too dreary I hope," he said smiling lightly once more.

Simone bent down and looked under the counter right at the back, she found a smallish bottle of Scotch, she pulled it out and poured him a large helping of it into a glass. She brought the full glass and the bottle over to her desk and passed them to him, so he could refill it if necessary. She walked back over to the counter and found herself some whisky and poured herself a glass. She walked back over to her desk and sat down. "Hmm, Well I value people for being truthful, however, if you said my bum looks big in this, I may have to kill you" she joked. "I'm fine, just a bit sick of all this paperwork really" she replied to his question in her wellbeing. She liked him, but she knew he was going to be a hard nut to crack.

"Are you trying to get me drunk so you can take advantage of me," he said smirking at the large glass of scotch sitting in front of him. He took a sip and sighed. "Marvelous scotch! How's the whiskey?"
He laughed at her remark. "I think your butt looks perfect in that and more than likely any outfit," he replied winking. "I'm glad you find honesty a key quality in life; it'll mean I'll have to work much harder to scare you off," he said jokingly. At this moment he severely doubted he would even be able to.
Alex glanced at her desk and smirked, you couldn't even see the wood. He signed a few more papers and smirked, "Understandable; I get frustrated with any any amount of paper work. I think your job would be too h-core for me."

Simone smiled at him and his flirting. "your a tease you are" she giggled. "The whiskey's alright, it's not a nice cold pint of beer though" she replied. "But neither of these drinks are very lady-like" she grinned. When Alex said her job was hard-core, she flexed her arm playfully. "Damn right" she said. "And yeah, you will have to work harder than that" she winked, and bent over the desk a little and flicked his tie.

He smirked at her remarks. "Yes, and fortunately for you I'm also a cheap drunk," he said laughing.
"It's okay, I never really pictured you for the lady-like type anyway. Probably the way you barged into my office all happy and cheery like. Ladies don't smile, it gives them wrinkles apparently." He said smirking slightly. He'd had an interesting night with an interesting woman when he heard that one.
He smirked as she flicked his tie; his arm flew up and grabbed her wrist. "Can't have that now can I," he said smirking as he held her hand. "That's good, I always enjoy challenges," he said finishing his drink of.

Simone looked at him as he grabbed her wrist, making her come forward a little more. "Indeed not, and I can be a lady when I want to be" she said fluttering her eyelashes and smirking. "Cheap drunk" she laughed.

"Yup," he said quietly. "One more of your drinks and I'm done," he said smiling. "I know you're looking forward to doing dreadful things to me. I'll probably have to go to therapy.
"Oh doubtless," he said not letting go of her wrist. "Even I could be a lady if I really wanted too." He said smiling. "Though I probably wouldn't smell as good as you do." He said with a grin. Truly, it was intoxicating and there was something not human about it.

She laughed. "You really are cheap! I thought it would be at least another 3 more" Simone laughed even harder. "Thanks" She smiled as he complimented her smell. "There has to be at least one good thing about me doesn't there? I'm guessing I picked smell". "You don't smell so bad yourself" she said, as she got a whiff of his manly smell.

"Nope," he said chuckling. "I'm as cheap as they come which is rather odd considering the amount of alcohol I put through my system some days."
"I think you have a great many good things about you," he said drawing slightly closer.
"I know I smell good; it's why woman flock to me," he said smirking slightly. He only now fully realized they were quite close to each other. "You know it's been about a week since my face has been this close to that of a beautiful woman though I must say you eclipse most."

Simone raised her eyebrow. "I know your sort" she said sitting back down into her chair. "Ladies man, you just said so yourself" she smirked at him. She was intruiged, but she wasn't prepared to play games with him. "I bet you say things like that to every woman" she carried her smirk through this sentence.
