Naruto entered the kitchen quietly and saw all the house elves bustling about doing one thing or another. She wondered briefly if they would need help since it was after dinner and there would definitely be a lot of dishes. But then again, elves had magic so it should take them but seconds to clean them. She walked up to one of the short elves adjusting her backpack that Ramen was currently sleeping in and smiled politely. "Hello, do you happen to need any help?" Naruto asked figuring it was polite to ask anyway. The house elf beamed at her. "No no. Do you need something dear?" The house elf asked politely as he brushed a bit of his hair out of his face. "Well, I was perhaps wondering if I could use your kitchen to cook something. I enjoy cooking so much I would love to have the chance to do it again. I have not had the pleasure of cooking since I have come here." Naruto replied with a wistful smile. The elf seemed a bit unsure about the question but upon seeing the longing look Naruto gave him he caved in. "Alright, I'll show you where everything is." He replied politely with a smile. Naruto grinned and followed him very happy for the tour.

After having floated around the tables during dinner, Marjorie had wandered about the corridors talking to other students as if she were alive again. Passing the kitchen, she decided to stop on by and see what the elves were up to. Floating through the wall, she noticed a student talking to an elf.
Ending up right behind the student, Maggie was only floating inches taller then her. "Hello." She said with a ghost-like smile. "What're you up to?" She asked, curious why a student would be here after dinner. Could she possibly be hungry again? Dinner was only about a half hour or so ago.

Naruto started in surprise and turned to see a young looking ghost. She gave her a wary smile. "I'm going to cook something, or bake something. I love baking things. Though I still haven't decided what I'm going to bake yet." Naruto replied her smile brightening at the prospect of preparing her own food again. She really had not eaten much at dinner because she missed cooking her food so much.

A ghostly grin widened on her ghostly face. "Fun!" Swooping around to float next to the girl, she smiled. "Well.. What do you have a taste for?" She asked, enthused. Marjorie hadn't seen someone prepare food in a while, and she was interested in seeing how someone could turn plain food, into a meal or snack of some sort.
"I'm Marjorie, by the way." She said, smiling. Maggie figured it was only polite to offer her name, while she was budding into this girl's baking. "But you can call me Maggie, if you want."

Naruto smiled at the ghost girl happy that someone other than herself thought cooking was fun. "I love peanut butter most. I might prepare some peanut butter bars!" She replied excitedly. "Oh! And my name is Naruto! But you're welcome to call me Naru-chan like my friends do, or just Naru." She was very happy with this ghost.

Marjorie smiled again. "That sounds yummy!" She said, encouraging the girl. "I think I remember what peanut butter tastes like.. Something to due with nuts, I think?" It had been years, even decades since Maggie had eaten. And grabbing food off a dinner table in the Great Hall wasn't exactly a way to eat it. She no longer possessed a stomach!
"Nice to meet you, Naruto." She replied, smiling. "If you'd like, I can help you get things for your snack. Or, if you just want me to stay out of your way, I'm happy just watching." Maggie recalled helping her mom, when she was alive, make meals for the family, and occasionally just watching if she was to lazy to help. The smells of the kitchen were always a pleasant thing to walk by in their house. But now, those were just memories, considering she couldn't smell any more.

Naruto smiled at the other girl. "I wouldn't mind you helping. First I'll need a large mixing bowl, then some butter, sugar and peanut butter." Naruto informed her walking up the the counter and preparing an area for them to use near the oven and preheating it at 350 degrees.

Grinning widely, Marjorie swooped off tograb the items Naruto requested. She may be dead, but she still could grab things. Transparent hands carried back the items, and placed them on the counter. "Anything else?"She asked, smiling.

"I'll need egg, vanilla, flour, oats, baking soda, salt, and a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan." Naruto recited easily. She had done this many times before and knew exactly what she needed.

Grinning a ghostly grin again, Marjorie swooped off, grabbing the necessary items. Baking was a better thing to pass time by instead of floating about the castle, loosing your mind. Coming back with the items tucked neatly in her transparent arms, Maggie hovered next to Naruto. "Geez, that's a lot of stuff just for a couple of peanut butter bars." She said, laughing.
"Alright, what do we do first?" Marjorie asked, ready to help. This is going to be very interesting; A ghost helping a living person bake a snack! She thought, laughing in her own mind, and making a smirk visible on her ghostly face. "I'm so excited!" She blurted out, grinning. It had been many a year since she'd been able to help someone bake something.

"You'd be surprised how much you need to make anything! It takes a lot of work." Naruto responded laughing. She began to set up everything she needed to mix together. In the large mixing bowl she creamed the butter, sugars and peanut butter until they were light and fluffy and beat in egg and vanilla. After that she combined the flour, oats, baking soda and salt into the creamed mixture. After that she spread it into the greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. She finished mixing just in time for the oven to be fully heated and put the pan into the oven with a large grin. She baked it at 350° for 20-25 minutes until it was lightly browned. "Despite the work it's fun." She said while waiting for it the bars to finish baking.

Marjorie's transparent eyes watched as Naruto whipped up the peanut butter bars, and shoved them in the oven to cook. All the while, she was astounded at how simple things could make such a snack. Eager like a small child, Maggie swooped into the oven, looking at the bars, before coming back out. "They look really good!" She announced, excited.
Marjorie couldn't believe she was so excited, just over a couple of peanut butter bars. It was probably just because she hadn't done any human things in forever.

Naruto was glad to see her new friend so excited about something and smiled at her in delight. "They had better!" Ramen remarked from inside her backpack. "Quite you!" Naruto hissed at her boggart friend inside her pack. "I'm glad you think so Maggie." Naruto responded to the ghost girl.

Giggling with pleasure, the ghost floated a little higher. This was probably her eight-year-old self escaping. Floating back down, beside Naruto, she swore she heard a third voice. "Who was that?" She asked, looking around, and seeing few elves around. Shrugging her transparent shoulders, she smiled at Naru. "Sorry for intruding on your, little snack-making thing.. Being dead can be a bore." Maggie apologized, again shrugging her shoulders.

"Not at all! It was nice having someone other than Ramen to assist me. He usually just gets in the way and causes a mess to begin with." Naruto replied with a smile on her face. "I do not!" Ramen snapped from inside the bag causing Naruto to elbow him again to make him shut up.
