So not only did they have people from the ministry strutting around like they owned the place, shooting of hexes here there and everywhere, not to mention disturbing professors when they should be working, now they had a bloody reporter too.
Great Michael thought, that was all he needed, he eyes Fitz suspiciously. He made a mental note not to go near him unless he had too. He didnt want his life, and past printed all over the papers. No thanks. Michael kept his arms folded and just observed the spectacle before him. This place really was going to the dogs.
"I do not believe what Professors do is any of your concern Mr Hargreaves" Mike said cooly. "The ministry are all proving to be worthless, only doing what seems to make them more... annoying than what they already are."
Michael was not allowing anyone to roam the corridors and just speak ill of any of the goings on in hogwarts. It was none of their business, and as far as he was concerned, Darrow was doing a good job at keeping the place running smoothly, ot it would be if the Ministry stopped poking its nose in.

Tonks narrowed her eyes mercilessly at Fitz. She liked him, but he honestly went too far with the propaganda he liked to pump that terrible paper full of. ‘Oh, and you would know all about our inner workings, wouldn’t you?’ She said so defensively she caught herself off guard. ‘Why on earth would we dislike anti-dark magic devices, Fitz? I’m an anti-dark magic device!’ She gave him a look that said it was time to stop dehumanizing her profession in front of her. She gave him an icy smile now. ‘Fitz, if you were any sort of a reporter you would know why the ministry is patrolling the corridors at night. You’ve got a lot to figure out if you don’t know why we’re here.’ She said softly.
Ignoring Professor Vance’s stab at the Ministry, Tonks nodded to him graciously. ‘I apologise for disturbing you, professor. I’ll make sure to tell my colleagues to keep their voices down in this part of the dungeon. We’re never usually so rude.’
‘Jac, the entrance hall, tomorrow night? Don’t look so sad,’ She winked. ‘It won’t dull, I promise you.’ Giving each of them one last – and rather irritable – glance, Tonks bided them goodnight, sweeping off into the darkness, thinking about how wonderful it’d be to stick pins in a doll-sized Fitz. Why did he always have to embarrass her?

Smiling rather wanely at the professor now Fitz replied curtly "indeed not according to you, yet I write solely what my audience wishes to read, it's a fine art finding the right information at exactly the right time I can tell you." He chirped with satisfied nod. "Personally I believe most of the Professors are doing sterling work handing down advice to the next generation and teaching them rather well, but I hasten to add that the Ministry controls what is written within the Daily Prophet, if I ever scold or write ill of a professor it is meant in jest or at least shouldn't be taken to heart as what I mean directly. I have to entertain my readers you see." He explained knowing perfectly well that nobody present could care less, but he did. Remembering how teachers had taught him in years gone by, Fitz truly was appreciative of their efforts, time and time again he'd been a troubelsome student who nonetheless worked hard when it came to the final straw.
Prefering not to add how worthless and unbelievably corrupt Fitz believed the Ministry to be; as he had to maintain his facade he simply nodded in silent agreement, but was forced to defend himself from Tonks' tirade. Now his defences dropped dramatically, his eyes narrowed as realisation became all to apparent of just how blindly people would follow orders. From her icy words Fitz feared Tonks had been indoctrinated fully, and believed the Ministry flawless perhaps. How very wrong people were.
"I know precisely why the Ministry is here Tonks." He stated icily his tone showing his annoyance and truthfulness now. "Don't think I'm a simple dumb reporter seeking to destroy the reputation of others and spread filth." Quickly quenching his rising temper he could have continued but knew his position could all too easily be betrayed by hasty words. Spinning on his heel he nodded curtly to the professor and student saying in a more cheerful tone "good day to you," and promptly walked briskly away in the opposite direction to Tonks. She'd know the truth one day, hopefully sooner rather than later.

"Make sure to tell your collegues?" Michael gave a nasty sort of laugh, "It was you who disturbed me, Tonks, not one of your collegues, so maybe you should be more quiet next time" Michael didnt usually get into such debates over who's fault it was, but he was growing rather agitated over the Ministry's prescense. They were all rather irratating.
Michael looked to Fitz and raised an eyebrow, "You write what you wish to write. It matters not if meant in jest, not everyone will see it that way" Michael looked from between Tonks and Fitz, this heated discussion was getting them all nowhere, and by now it was probably very late. Tonks had told Jac of their detention plans for tomorrow night and swiftly moved on. Michael stood there in the middle of Jac and Fitz, "And i think its time you were off to bed too, dont you Jac? It isnt very good for the Quadwizard Champion to keep landing herself in detetion, now off with you" Mike looked sternly upon Jac.
