[DADA] Class List

It was her first day as a Professor at Hogwarts, now all she needed was students. She glanced around the classroom to see if there was anything that needed to be done before she started class. "Well, Of course!" she exclaimed as she started scribbling down on some parchment, "I need a list!"
Once she was done scribbling, Kenna posted a role of parchment on the classroom door. It read the following:[/color]

Defense Against the Dark Arts

Those that wish to attend Defense Against the Dark Arts must sign up before they will be counted as students. Those that choose to enroll will earn extra housepoints at the end of term, this does not count for late enrollments. Please sign your name and year under your named house if you wish to enroll.

[Girty Hubbles]

There had been rumours circulating that a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher had been found, and Girty took it upon herself to see if these rumours were true. The castle was growing dark and the candles flickered along the corridors and by wand light Girty quickly scurried down the corridor. She had no need to be so secretive, after all it was not past curfew yet, but then she liked the adrenaline rush of trying not to be seen gave her.

As she approached the classroom door her wand light fell onto a parchment that was pinned on the door. Carefully reading it Girty held her breath. The rumours were true. Scanning the list it was clear that no body else had signed up yet so with a small sense of pride Girty delved her hand into her bag and pulled out her quill and carefully underneath the subheading of Hufflepuff she scribbled down her name.

Girty Hubbles, 7th Year

Twirling her quill in between her figures she dropt it back into her bag and turned quickly on her heel. She needed to spread the word in the Hufflepuff Common room.

[Bradyn Reed]

Bradyn had heard that the new DADA teacher was here and of course his curiosity go the best of him and he decided to be one of the first to go and see. Heading towards the classroom he noticed he wasn't the first. "Hello, Girty." He said as he scanned the sheet. Sign-up for Defense against the dark arts, wasn't it just Required? He shuffled around for a quill and quickly signed himself up, he was not going to miss out on the best subject.

Once satisfyed with the scrawling of his name, he too quickly left to get his friends to sign up too before they missed out. It'd have to be a mad one to miss, since it was not only fun but also practical. w

[Maria Turolia]

Maria walked up to the door of the DADA classroom. She had heard that there was a new professor, and she was very excited about the upcoming classes. Looking at the list of names, she saw that Girty and Bradyn had both already been here and signed up. Pulling out a quill, she quickly wrote her name on the list, under Hufflepuff.

Immediately after signing her name, Maria hurried off. She needed to make a trip to the libary before curfew.

[Sarie Thimble]

Sarie was walking to see a crowd of people around a notice bored. She had to jump to see what it was. To her surprise it was a sign up sheet to DADA. She didn't know they had found another one. She asked to be let through than read the message. Then signed her name.

[Sheba Snow]

'It's about time someone replaced Starsmore.' Sheba had said to Edward as they had scheduled to collide outside the Great Hall that morning, the two of them having inconspicuously scrounged for leftover bits toast, bacon and eggs, gathering it up in napkins and shoving it in their book bags to take to Felix. Since they had been conned into being the Griffin's new keepers, the Room of Requirement had ceased to feed Felix, apparently not as charitable as Sheba and Edward had first assumed.

After a good few minutes arguing over whose turn it was to take Felix breakfast in bed, Sheba had eventually won and come up to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, finally unlocked after months of being off limits.

Under a list of names, only one of which was a Gryffindor so far, Sheba scribbled her name.

Sheba Snow - 5th year

Kasey had heard that there was to be a new DADA teacher this year. She quickly raced down the hallways -much to the dismay of the teachers- and skidded to a stop once she saw the sign. Kase whipped out her quill and scrawled her named on the sheet under the 'Gryffindor' section.

Kasey Syphyll -- 6th year

She grinned and pocketed her quill. "Perfect." Kasey turned back around and skipped down the hallway, on to the Great Hall. "New DADA teacher this yeeaarrr."

Rikki studied the notice in front of her. "New DADA teacher huh? Wonder what happened to Professor Croll. She was cool." Rikki wondered. Shrugging, the young vampire took out a quill and wrote her name under the Gryffindor list.

Erika Anne McCallister- Gryffindor 7th Year

[Nikole Talley]

With her usual enthusiasm for class, Nikole bounced up to the door of the classroom. She looked at the list with quite a few names already. She had just recently heard about the new professor, and was excited to see what she would be able to learn in this class. As she took her quill and started to write her name, she realized that only one other Ravenclaw, Bradyn, had signed up for the class.

After signing her name, perfectly and neatly, Nikole bounced away. This was one class that she was definately looking forward to.

[Lorenz Kuhn]

The list on the classroom door was getting pretty full already, even though it hadn't been there too long. Taking a moment to see who all had already signed up for DADA, Lorenz saw that the majority of people who had signed up were Gryffindors, and no Slytherins. He smiled at this.

Lorenz Kuhn-5th year

He looked at the messy writing that was his name, under the Gryffindor subheading. Nodding in approval of it, he turned and started away. He had better things to do than hang around outside a classroom.

Aly had heard that there was yet another DADA teacher and decided to check it out. Looked like this teacher wanted them to sign up for the class. Aly shrugged, "Seems like an odd way to begin a class, but oh well. She's the teacher, whatever floats her boat I guess." Aly scrawled her name under the Slytherin list.


Alyson Gravestone- 7th Year Slytherin. "Hope Rakks comes." she said to herself before walking off

Whilst running a hand through his thoroughly mussed hair - something he found himself doing often after trying to feed Felix - Edward scratched his name messily onto the square parchment. He paused at the tilt of his finely drawn "w" to glare at Sheba's name, before continuing fluidly underneath Alyson's.

Briar had heard from Girty that a new DADA professor had arrived so she made sure to sign up right away. Ari had told her to write her name down also because she was too busy.

Adam sighed. "And yet, another DADA teacher." he mumbled as he signed his name

She had been walking down the hall and she passed the Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom. At first there was nothing really special about it though she did notice a piece of paper hanging off the door. A quizzical look appeared on her face as she decided that it was worth checking out. Stopping and doing what most would call an about face she noticed that it was a list a list of students name who wished to take the class.

Alexis almost wept with joy, DADA class whoa nelly she was there for sure. Thankfully she had a pen in her pocket. The list was already pretty full but that didn't matter to her because there was always room for one more at Hogwarts.[/size]
