Again, I don't think we should think too much on the science aspect. It's magic, anything is really possible with this disease xD
Going back to the symptoms, I think we should lay down a few that are the same. Because otherwise how will people know the virus is all the same? Like, everyone has magic overload and warts (not necessarily those, just examples) but they have other symptoms that are different for each person as well? It would depend on how their body reacted.

Well, then I suppose I meant antiviral...
And yeah, I agree Ally - there should just at least be a loose tying thread. Just so things don't get too crazy

It should be a virus, I think, since those are usually more deadly. With a virus its either you're body can take it or it can't and that would provide more opportunities for character disposal. Whereas bacterial infections can be more simple, you know, like stomach flu which can be over in a day. I think too many people would say they had the sickness then weasel out of it that way... ( just saying I don't think there should be "OH I'M SICK.. wait no, I'm not, i'm magically healed by my stuffed teddy bear fluffy "

Yeah, and Virus - they can do crazy things in your body, can't they? They're so vicious.
I just want to ask - For the first few days when the Virus is discovered, can we totally give out gas-masks? Rofl. They'll be foolish and futile, of course... But I find it it'd be funny.

I was thinking virus this whole time anyway xD
I agree with nicole in the fact that bacteria are too easy to cure in this sense. (haha, teddy bear xD )
For the symptoms, are we still going to do three stages? If so, I think we should have at least one common thing in all the stages.
Any thoughts?

LMAO xD as soon as I read that I imagined Bray walking around in like, full isolation suit and Fay was like "Bray, what the hell are you doing?" "When you die and I don't, you'll be sorry you said that."
anyway... and yeah since muggle viruses are stupid things that are semi-alive but technically not, it would make sense for a magical virus to have intelligence...
omg. idea. off the beaten track from what we were thinking but I'm throwing it out anyway. Going back to the someone set it on us idea, what if it was someone who was very, very Slytherin and anti-muggle born and halfbreeds and since the virus had intelligence it infected only muggleborns and halfbloods at first. but then the virus mutated and started to infect everyone?

nicole, you are an absolute genius <3
That's an awesome idea xD Because then people will start to take it as an attack, until it mutates of course. That'll leave the purebloods with their guard down too, which'll make it effect more people.

You'd be surprised. And actually, the stomach flu is most often caused by viruses. Hehe.
The plague, syphilis, typhoid, leprosy, pneumonia, tuberculosis and diptheria were all caused by bacteria.
If you think of the symptoms, then you can figure out what would be best. A virus or bacteria.
I wouldn't rule it out totally.
And if you're not thinking about the scientific aspect of it, then you won't be paying much mind to the symptoms, bodily effects and cures. =/

By scientific aspects, I meant like, how exactly the virus changed, and every little detail about that.
Symptoms and effects and cures effect the Rp, how the virus exactly changes and stuff like that really doesn't.
I'm just trying to focus on how we would Rp this, not exact details x3
Sorry if you thought something different.
