This was Kieran's first lesson on his own, without the support of another teacher and he was very nervous. This probably shown on his face even though he was trying to hide it. He didnt want to give the approach of being strict, he wanted his lessons to be fun. Sighing as he stood in the empty classroom, the words, Kieran Donnolly, Ancient Runes, Lesson One were etched on the board.
He had already gotten a lot of plans ready, in case the Professor wasnt coming back. He was only here to fill in for Miss Gaines temporarily unless the Headmaster told him it was permanent. He looked at the clock, it was ten minutes until his lesson began.

Ash walked into the room with a smile on his face. A small one, but a smile nonetheless. "Hello professor." he said, shyly. Taking a seat in the front, Ashton waited for the rest of the class to arrive. This was actually his first time taking Ancient Runes. Hopefully Mark, or Acelin, or even Maeve, would be here to explain it to him, seeing as Ash knew nothing about it!

Mark decided if he was ever going to pass this year, he would need to take his lessons. Looking down at his timesheet, the good thing that could be said was that he knew a lot about Ancient Runes. Walking in he noticed someone else stood at the front, "Morning Sir" Mark said, "Where's Miss Gaines?" He smiled as he saw Ashton and took a seat next to him.

Ashton muffled a yawn with his hand, how long till class started? Then Mark walked in. "Marky!" he cried happily, giving his friend a quick hug as he sat down. "Where ya been man?" he asked.

Kieran stood at the front as two students walked in, one from his ex-house and the other from Ravenclaw. He smiled at them both, "Good Morning, forgive me but im not yet accustomed to everyones names." Kieran looked at the Gryffindor boy, "It seems she had to take some leave for how long, i dont know. So i will be filling in for now and im going to try and make this lesson fun... Somehow!" There was still five more minutes before everyone had to arrive.

Ari walked into class. She gave a faint smile towards the Professor and added a slight nod. She wasn't in the mood to talk. She glanced around the room and spotted Mark and Ashton. She took a step towards them but thought better of it and headed towards the opposite side of the classroom. Ari placed her books on the desk infront of her and stared at the board.

This time last year Mark would have thrown Ashton off him, but he was getting used to being hugged now by him. Smiling he gave him a hug back, "Keeping my head low, avoiding Max" He looked as someone else entered the room, gave her a quick smile and then put full attention on the professor.

Ash's smile faded from his face at the mention of Maxi. "Me too." he muttered, then corrected himself, "No wait, Maxi is doing everything he can to avoid me! Bloody git!" he said softly but angrily.

Maxi walked into the lesson, knowing there was a new professor, though he had heard this professor was once the divination assistant so he secretly wondered how he had managed to become a professor. As he walked in his eyes landed first on Mark, who he scowled at and showed no interest in hiding it. Then he saw Ashton, and because of how things had gotten he didnt much feel like speaking to him either. So sitting next to Ari he gave her a warm smile, "Alright?" he asked her as he looked to the front.

Ash looked up as someone entered the room. It was Maxi. Ash gave him a glacier-cold glare. And turned his attention back to Mark. "So what have you been up to?" he asked.

Ari heard the classroom door open and close. She thought of looking over her shoulder to see who had entered but decided she didn't want to see Mark's face and continued to stare at the front of the classroom. When she heard a voice being directed at her she turned her head. "Oh, Maxi," she said with a smile. Arabella shrugged, "Could be better, actually could be a lot better. It's Mark, of course. I don't think I need to say anymore on that subject," she answered.
Ari looked over at her shoulder towards Mark and Ashton then back at Maxi, "They're probably talking loads of crap about us behind our backs," she said with a small laugh, "The way Mark's been acting lately, I wouldn't doubt it. He ran out on me... so I'm refusing to talk to him until he apologizes," she said with a shrug. Ari looked at the Professor and smiled, "I'm sure your class will be fun. I have faith in you," she said with a laugh.

"Of course" Maxi said when she told him it was Mark, "You're better than him Ari, he would only mess you around and hurt you" he looked at her, "Find someone who is actually worth you" Maxi looked forward as he listened to Ari. "They probably are and im sure Ash has a lot of things to say about me too, and no doubt seeing us two talk will put nasty thoughts with them too" Maxi looked back at Mark and sighed before looking at Ari, "He wont apologize ill tell you that now"

Erika strolled into the classroom, stifling a yawn with her hand. Her normally bright eyes were dull and glassy, and her dark hair was a tangled mess. But hey, that's what you get for running around in the Forbidden Forest all night. Nodding to the others, she muttered a sleepy, "Morning all."

It was another boring day in the Gryffindor commonroom and Scott had just finished writing back his mum. "Why does she always insist on writing to me every day?" he asked himself aloud. Scott placed the letter in his book bag so he remembered to take it to the owlry after his lessons. He glanced around the room to see if there was anything else to do to pass the time. His eyes fixed on the clock, "Oh, no!" he said, stuffing his quills and some parchment into his book bag. "Mum would kill me!" he said as she tossed the strap over his shoulder.
Scott ran down the corridors and came to a stop infront of the door. He only hoped he wasn't late. He pushed open the door and stared at the professor, 'Good, not late,' he thought to himself. He glanced at the other students before laying eyes on a Ravenclaw girl. He smiled as he walked her way. Scott took the seat in front of her and turned around, "Well, if it isn't Arabella Vanderveer," she said with a goofy grin. He turned to Maxi, "Maxi, good to see you," she said with a friendly smile.

Ari jumped when Scott quickly turned to talk to her, "Oh shove it, Pretty Boy! Can't you see we're in class. God you can be so ignorant sometimes," she said to him, redirecting her attention the the front of the room, "I thought you weren't taking this class anyway, Scott," she said, confronting him.
