A cheerful smile was sitting on his face, as Jeremy wandered through the nearly empty corridors. It was like a smile was plastered on his face, because he was rarely seen without it. Basically, he was born a cheerful person, which probably was why he was placed into the Hufflepuff House, six year earlier. Jeremy was simply brought up to look the other way when things were rough, and turn bad things into good. It was what muggles attempted to do, but could rarely accomplish.
Rounding the corner, his thoughts traveled back to his muggle parents, who were probably at home, worrying about their only son. Before he received the letter, telling him he was a wizard, he had attended a muggle school, had muggle friends, and lived a muggle live. His parents were simply no help when it came to that fateful letter. But nonetheless, he was great-full they were his parents, because other parents might've not been so accepting.
Coming back from his thoughts, Jeremy realized he had wandered quite far from where he started. He recognized this corridor, but he hadn't been down here in what seemed like decades. Turning about on the spot, he headed back towards the place he came from. A little bit of disappointment came over him, as he wandered about the corridors, and saw nearly no one. Shoving his hands into his pockets, he sighed, feeling like he should have just stayed in the common room. Continuing his walk, nonetheless, he bumped into something-someone-and stumbled back a little. "Sorry." He said, wincing. He wasn't quite fond of bumping into his fellow peers, or teachers for that matter. "I wasn't paying attention to where I was going." He immediately said, awarding his 'knockee' that it was an accident, and not on purpose.

Briar was wondering down the corridors. It was the usual day for her, skipping class, dodging professors, and rescuing the younger hufflepuffs form the quite evil slytherins. She had just finished yelling at a 4th year slytherin when she felt another body collide with her own.
Instantly she fell to the ground right on her behind. She looked up with a scowl at the boy but when she realized it was a fellow huffpuff she shook her head laughing. "It's alright," she said pushing herself up off the ground. "You're new, aren't you?" she said to the boy.
He looked a little older than herself, she figured 6th, maybe even 7th year. She had heard talk about a new hufflepuff boy, this must be him. She brushed the dust, if there was any, off her clothes and extended a friendly hand, "Briar Vanderveer," she said with a grin, "And don't worry about it, accidents happen," she said cheerfully.

Realizing his collision with the other person, he quickly assumed he would be yelled at for not paying attention to where he was going, and so on. But he was relived when she didn't respond in a ticked-off manner. Thank Merlin. He thought, and began smiling. "Er.. I guess you could say that." He replied, laughing. Judging by her school robes with the yellow crescent and badge on it, he could tell she was a Hufflepuff.
Brushing a hand through his hair subconsciously, he grinned and grabbed her hand with his free hand. "Nice to meet you Briar. I'm Jeremy Willowster." Letting go of her hand, he shoved both of his own hands into his pants' pocket, and continued smiling. "Yeah, I guess they do. But still, sorry. I can't help but feel bad." Jeremy said, chuckling lightly.
"So, picking on Slytherins, are we?" Smirking, he could see a Slytherin, scrambling off in a way that seemed like they'd just been punished and were running from the scene. "I guess they deserve it. Always picking on everyone else, they need to know how it feels." Shaking his head, he laughed again. He could imagine a bunch of Slytherins rounding the corner in a pack, ready to ambush who ever had hurt 'one of their own'.

Briar shrugged and laughed as she turned her head to watch the Slytherin run off, "A swift kick in the rear is what he really deserves," she said returning her attention to Jeremy, "Assuming that every Hufflepuff he comes across is a 'mud-blood' or 'half-blood,' I'm not the one to be calling a half-blood for your information. I am very much pure magical blood..." she said crossing her hands, "Though, only my mother was a witch. They never said both parents had to be Witches, persay, just magical!" she said with a laugh.
Bry shook her head, she was already rambling. "Sorry, I babble," she said with a laugh. "And please, don't feel bad, the more you apologize, the more upset I'll get," she said picking her schoolbag off the floor. She looked down at it, "I still don't understand why I carry this darn thing around. It's not like it's carrying anything," she said laughing and dropping it back on the ground. "So... Jeremy, right? Anyway," she said shaking her head, "It was probably my fault anyway, for you running into me, that is. I shouldn't have been standing in the middle of the hall to begin with."
[[very very very yucky... -_- but In my head... idk... it just flowed... lol]]

Chuckling, he shook his head. "Don't all Slytheirns?" He smirked at her remark about 'magical blood' and nodded. "That's very true. They never did. So who's to say you aren't worthy of being treated like any other pure-blood member here to them?" Raising a brow, he laughed along with her. The Slytherin's did have a tendency to treat anyone who wasn't pure-blood wasn't even worthy of being considered a wizard or a witch. Of course, Jeremy thought other wise, because he was one of those wizards who weren't pure-blood. Laughing again, he smiled. "Babbling's better then being quiet." He shrugged. "Besides, we all have something that seems annoying. I have a tendency to laugh to much. You could say I'm 'too cheerful.'" Smirking, he attempted not to chuckle or laugh or anything, just so he wouldn't but his 'too cheerful' theory into gear. But of course, he chuckled again. "Sorry. I guess I was raised to feel bad for accidents. Darn parents, making me care too much." Shaking his head, he smiled again. "Nah, it wasn't your fault. I should've been watching where I was going instead of just wandering about the corridors blindly." Jeremy paused for a moment, then burst out laughing. "There goes my kindness again. Probably the reason I'm in Hufflepuff." Shaking his head, he grinned. [Your's was better then mine .. At least your's makes more sense then my randomness xD]

Briar stood there and watched him with amusement. She suddenly started laughing at him, "How bout we just both take the blame and save us the next few hours of trying to debate on whose fault it is?" she said placing a hand on her hip, "And I don't find the fact that you laugh alot to be annoying, infact, its quite amusing. I have to add that you have a nice laugh," she said with a smile.
Bry shook her head, "Well you know, us Hufflepuffs are the better house. We can take crap from anyone and still be nice to them!" she said picking on their house. "Naw, but it is nice to know that the nicer you are to those you hate, the more they hate you..." she said running a hand through her brown waves.

Aly listened from the shadows, it seemed that these two were quite biased towards Hufflepuff. Stepping from her hiding place, Aly strided up to the two Hufflepuff's. "And what exactly makes you think that all us Slytherins are spoiled, evil, i'm holier-than-thou, brats? Do you have proof? Do you know ever single Slytherin?" She paused, "You know, I really wish that people would stop being so prejudiced towards other houses. I'm a Slytherin, and I don't act that way. Sure, I'm spoiled, but I'm not a brat about it. And I'm not evil, except to my little sister. But hey, if I can't torture her, then who else can I torture?" Aly smiled, "You see, just because you've had some bad run-ins with Slytherins, doesn't mean we're all evil. It just means that some of us, are too immature to realize that we're not better than others, and that in some ways, they're better than us." Aly laughed. "Wow! Okay, talk about a rant! Sorry bout that, I just get irritated when people assume that all Slytherins are spoiled, snobby, stuck up idiots." She grinned. "Name's Alyson. Alyson Gravestone. But you can call me Aly."

Briar's eyes widened when a slytherin girl popped out of nowhere and started yelling at the two. She started laughing when the girl calmed down and introduced herself, "Well, Aly. I'm Briar, and if you couldn't tell from your eavesdropping, I was sorta making fun of my own house as well. I like to kid! It's just the kind of person I am. And no, I don't know every single Slytherin. I was talking about the ones that bother my fellow classmates, especially when the ones they are picking on are much younger than they. Do you get my drift?" she asked using her hands to help her.

Aly laughed. "Yeah, I get it. But seriously, what is with all the prejudice these days?"

Evette walked down the hallway, studying a page in her Herbology book. A fascinated look was stuck on her face. Somehow she managed not to run into anyone. Eve heard several people call her name and wave at her. She looked up and smiled, stopping only for a few moments to talk to them. Voices from an empty corridor traveled toward her. Evette stopped and turned toward the source. The girl saw three students, 2 of her own house and one Slytherin. Eve recognized the faces, but couldn't match the names of the two Hufflepuffs.
"Hello" she said, walking confidently up to the small group. Her French accent was still thick after several years of living in England, but she preferred it that way. It made her stand out more, as well as her bright red wavy hair that tumbled down her back. "My name is Evette Rockwood. My apologies for barging in, but I recognize you two." Eve said, pointing to the two Hufflepuff students.

Chuckling-yet again-, Jeremy smiled. "Alright. I guess I could live with that." Attempting not to laugh, or chuckle, or whatever, he just smirked at her comment. "Thank you." He said, grinning. "Though, if you hear my laugh for too long, you might just throw a rock at my noggin!"
Leaning up against the wall, he smirked. "Oh, of course! We Hufflepuffs are simply the best! We're so nice and everything, hardly get credit for it! They should rename this place 'Hufflewarts' or something like that!" He replied sarcastically, smirking all the while. It seemed only moments later, a mad Slytherin came out of no where, and began yelling at them. A tinge of guilt filled him as she brought up the matter of them putting down Slytherin. Raising his hands in defense, he chuckled. "Sorry, we were just goofing around. Didn't mean to bring your house down." Shaking his head, he smiled as she calmed down. "Name's Jeremy Willowster. Nice to meet you, Aly."
Jeremy nodded in agreement towards Briar's comment. "Yeah. We were just fooling around." He said again, smiling, then shrugging. "House Pride, I guess. People think they need to make their houses sound better in order to be better. That bloody house pride gets the best of us!" Shaking his head, he noticed another student walking towards them. A Hufflepuff. "Hello, there Evette. I'm Jeremy. " Nodding, he smiled. "Yeah, I've seen you around the common room before.
[yeah. uh. ew. i couldn't think, sorry <<;]
