Personality:
Ette tends to vanish and be unnoticed because she doesn’t speak much to people and can be very personal about things. She is fine with that, the others can ignore her. If she had a problem, she could confine herself in Christen, her Common Barn Owl, and not worry about him turning back on her.

She she's a slow learner, making her spends countless nights studying the subject until she grasps what it is. The sleepless nights can be extremely bothersome when she falls asleep in the middle of class and has to write an essay on the subject the next night. She falls behind when she tries to hard, staying up longer and longer, even when she is trying to become better at the subject.

She forgets things and can’t remember what she forgot. Her wand could be back in her dorm and she wouldn’t remember it until last minute or until it was too late. The reports she is assigned can be easily forgotten and left undone, hurting her grade worse than it was before.

Ette has an anger problem, although she keeps it under control most of the time. If she becomes upset enough, and shows it, she can be dangerous with a wand, if she hasn’t forgot it somewhere. One of the ways someone can make her overreact to something is talk about her muggle heritage or her family. She would take no time to think it over before hexing someone if they said anything that offended her greatly. If you are really out to get hexed, Ette will get angered by the mention of her 'poor muggle clothing choices.'

Ette is also deathly afraid of bugs and insects. She will scream if one is within ten feet of her. She will not catch a lightning bug, and tends to shy away from flowers because of the bees and butterflies. The only insect she is fine with would be the grasshopper. There were so many on her farm back home, that she completely ignored the green jumping insect.

Ette is friendly once you get to know her. She can be a faithful and loyal friend that, even if you wanted to, you could never get rid of. She will keep your secrets, even after you turned on her. Like a dog, she will follow you around until you want to scream for her to go away.

She is so clumsy she puts herself in danger all of the time. She can't walk across a flat surface without falling. She is constantly covered in bruises and scratches, most of which heal quickly now. Her body is so used to the falls, she barely feels them anymore.

She loves to read books, muggle and wizard both. No matter the subject, she will zoom through the book. The thing she has learned from books is amazing, how to play an instrument she never heard of, how Hogwarts was first founded, the spells that protect muggles from wizarding ways. She has constant, routine trips to and from the library, coming and going once a week to pick up new books.

Even being a witch, Ette struggles to hold on to her Muggle Heritage. Being a muggle is so simple, not having to learn spells and potions everyday. Their life are so delicate, though, easily being overpowered by some spell when they have no way to protect themselves from it. She wishes that she had known nothing of her witch destiny, to be the farmer girl that she was born to be. Sure, she would not have known about her favorite subject, Transfiguration, but she would be able to succeed in something she knew how to do.

Ette would rather be by herself, studying or reading, than talking to someone. She certainly wouldn't walk up to someone and ask for something, even if they were quite friendly looking. The anger problem that she has been out of control at times, and when it is, the people try to avoid her.

Appearance:
Ette Landau has always had her frizzy, curly red hair that is uncontrollable. No matter how much she works to get it presentable, her hair refuses to calm. Besides her flaming hair, her normal brown eyes are in contrast to her fair white skin. Her face is heart-shaped—a wide forehead with a widow's peak, large, wide-spaced eyes, prominent cheekbones, and then a thin nose and a narrow jaw with a pointed chin. Her lips are a little out of proportion, a bit too full for her jaw line. She's five feet four inches tall, slender but not at all muscular, and weighs about 125 pounds. She has stubby fingernails because she has a nervous habit of biting them. A large amount of freckles cover her face.

She normally wears the simplest of clothes. Her outfits are few and usually torn in one place or another. She has one perfect uniform that she saves for special occasions because of her clumsiness.

Her normal day clothes are made by her mother, stitched carefully to make sure they stay together. The cloth is usually all Ette's family can gather for the year, being poor. They are usually rough materials, no fancy patterns or pictures on the fabric.

Ette will wear them regardless, them being the only clothes her family can scrounge up the money for. The outfit doesn't matter, the person inside does. She could be anything, and dress in anything that she wants to.

History:
On October 26, about four in the morning, Antoinette Lynn Marie Landau was born to Marlette and Nolan Landau. Being originally from Ireland, Ette was very much a farm girl on their farm in the country of Ireland. She was constantly out in the fields helping her father with the family crops.

Soon after her came her little brother, Carlisle who has shown no current chances of being a wizard. The third monster in the Landau family was an accident though, and soon Katherine showed about the same personality as her sister. It wasn't a surprise that Ette takes a liking to her little sister, either.

Quickly getting accepted into Hogwarts surprised Ette and her family. Their had been no wizard or witch blood in Ette's family, and the realm of their power fascinated rather than shocked the Landau family.
