Smirking after her comment, Fallon had decided that she would probably need her book from this lesson, not her favorite type of work, but better than any interaction she would have to make in a practical lesson. Reaching down she felt tiny sharp pains erupt all over her lower back and thighs. Fallon screamed softly as she got up quickly from her chair.
Clutching her bottom, she looked at her chair, now a very healthy cactus plant. She growled and glared at the professor. She couldn't say anything, that would risk detention.
She pulled a rather large needle from the bottom of her thigh. She was sure she was bleeding in multiple places but she wasn't going to give the Professor the satisfaction of getting rid of her that easily. Instead, breathing heavily, she picked up her books of the desk, and moved to the empty seat one the other side of the Slytherin bunch. She rather her fingers through her hair and sat down, gently, wincing slightly as she did.
Fallon opened her book and turned to the energies chapter as though nothing had happened. She listened to a know it all Ravenclaw ask his little questions, thinking he was so smart. Fallon showed no emotion, but in her head she rolled her eye and gritted her teeth. She kept her mouth shut and blankly starred ahead, as though she was paying the utmost attention.

"Well, that's certainly part of it, Arthur. Five points to Ravenclaw," she said with a nod before doing a swan-dive off of her desk and starting to do the backstroke across the length of the classroom. "Energy can be described as a scalar physical quantity. To put it simply, energy is a physical force that personifies itself as the work it produces. Although most energy is seen particularly, it can be manipulated as easily as anything else..." she stood up on the classroom floor, revealing that this whole time she had been standing on a transparent yellow disc "...as long as you know how." She flicked her wand and the disc disappeared. The lights began flickering again before glowing steadily, slightly brighter than they had been eariler.
"Everything has energy. Everything has a physical force that drives it to do what it does, whether you can tell what it is or not. Today we're going to learn about what energy certain objects have, and how you can manipulate them using magic," she winked at the slytherin girl who had recently moved to a new desk, "Five points to Slytherin for your self-restraint and discipline. For future reference, Episkey is very helpful in awkward situations like that."
She walked to the front of the class and turned to face the students, "Any questions thus far--other than how a nutcase like me became the Deputy Head Teacher in this fine establishment?" she shot a pointed look at the Slytherin section of the classroom.

Lisa's eyes widened as she leaned back to her desk from the Ravenclaw boy, noticing the professor's feet weren't quite touching the floor.
Her eyes practically glowed with anticipation, and hardly restrained awe, when the Professor began to do a number of tricks in the air while lazily explaining what energy was.
If we learn how to fly in this class -
She grinned to herself, but it slowly faded when she realised the Professor wasn't actually flying. Instead it had been a clever illusion and Lisa smirked, deciding she would enjoy this class... Even though flying didn't seem to be on the agenda.
Sticking her hand in the air, nearly poking Shabnam in the eye, she asked - after apologizing to the girl a number of times - "Professor, do seers use energies around them in their predictions at all? Like.. each person actually has their own particular aurora that can be used to define personality and foresee futures?"
She then sent Shabnam a small grin, squinting her eyes just slightly as though she were trying to see the girl's own aurora.

"Ahh, I think that's more of a question for your Professor Vickors, but I'll explain what I know about it if you'd like?" She picked up a small crystal ball from one of the cubby holes in her desk and walked towards Lisa.
"From what I understand about Seers and their energies, it's like... their energy is more sensitive to other unusual energies. They themselves often give off a more... hm, exuberant I think is a good word for it; they give off an exuberant energy that tends to attract other people with unique energies. Then their 'inner eye' sort of... interprets what that energy has the ability to do. And they can sense unusual energies from great distances, and can extract what's happening around that person by the way their energy is reacting," she shrugged, "And take note, these are jsut the ponderings of a Transfiguration teacher. I really can't say that I know much about Divination. I just guess and imagine." She winked at Lisa and set the clear sphere on her desk before walking back to the front of the class.
"That, in fact, is a very good interlude to the next of our class; Your own energy. That's something most people don't think about, but your energy is what drives your magic. It's part of what draws a wand to a wizard, and decides what types of magic you're good at. It's part of what drives your hobbies; likes and dislikes. Today I'm going to teach you a spell that conjures up the essence of your energy. So, everybody pair up!"

Fallon gave a little smile as the nut case gave hr points for restraint. Wow, what a professor. Fallon couldn't wait to be out of class.
Energy's didn't seem like they would be all that hard. Fallon knew herself pretty well, therefore she was sure she would be able to master the energy spell in a snap.
Partners? As soon as Fallon heard the dreaded word she dove towards the Slytherin boy, Adair, hurrying to partner with a Slytherin than get stuck with the baby Ravenclaw.
Smirking, her bottom still lightly throbbing she put on a happy face. "Be my partner won't you Adair?"

Grace walked into the class room, nervous, just in time to hear a Gryffindor ask about energies and seers. She then noticed the writing on the board. Energies? she thought, how fascinating! She sat down next to the Gryffindor and looked apologetically at the Professor.
She had been five minutes late and it honestly wasn't her fault. Bing Head Girl meant some sacrifices on her part, even when those sacrifices meant social well being and health. But other times it meant being late for classes, embarrassing explanations and removal of house points. So she bit her tongue and listened to the professor. If she required an explanation, Grace would happily, or not so happily, provide one but for now she listened.
It was a fascinating topic, energies, kept running through her head. She smiled at the Gryffindor beside her and when the professor said they needed partners, Grace said to her softly, "what to be partners?" She didn't want to be partners with any of the Slytherins and since the Gryffindor was next to her, Grace thought it was a good idea.

'Wow...' Shabnam mused as she thought about everything Professor Morley had just explained. It was an ace explanation for something Shabnam had always wondered about. She was fascinated with anything that she couldn't physically see or touch, and although the concept was shamefully obvious and could've been realised long ago by Shabnam, the whole factor of energies and how they work intelligently within a witch or wizard's body revealed a lot. It was probably why Professor Vickers shimmered so much...
Shabnam returned the playful squint at Lisa, eying her in mock suspicion, but before she could suggest they pair up Grace had already arrived on scene, offering her assistance. With a defeat smile she turned to face the rest of the room, seeing several other Hufflpuffs and a lonely Slytherin. 'Want to pair up? I bet your auror is... blue.' She said slowly, titling her head as she looked at the Slytherin. 'You definitely look like a blue to me!'
Professor Morely - firm on the ground with her amazing disc vanished - was smiling at them patiently. Shabnam's eyes twinkled. 'I could be your partner, professor.' She offered eagerly, feeling rather put off by all the unfamiliar faces. People's auroras were an intimate thing... was it right strangers should see them?

Professor Morley grimaced as the scramble began for partners. Everyone wanted someone in particular and that person always wanted someone else who in turn... it was a vicious cycle! "On second thought," she said walking to the middle of the classroom, "Looks like it'll be easiest if I just pair you up." She heard the groans, she felt the angry eyes on the back of her head, "Yes, yes. Stuffy old teacher being lame. I know. Deal with it."
She turned as she heard the locked door creak open. "Miss Marks. I'm disappointed, you're usually so prompt. Don't worry, I won't deduct points, but-" a twinkly entered the teacher's eye, "for being tardy you'll be paired up with our dear, sweet Miss Winters over there. That won't be a problem will it?" she looked between the two students, then continued pairing up the class. "Arthur, you'll be with Adeline. Willow can be partners with Adrianne. Lisa, why don't you and Adair get together so that leaves... Ah, Miss Snapdragon. Looks like you get your wish afterall," she said looking around the class, slightly stunned. "I took a head count, there was an even... ah, until Grace showed up. Alright then, this spell is very simple. Put the point of your wand and place it right between your eyes," she herself demonstrated the movement, then removed the wand from her head, "then you'll say 'Navitas' and we'll be letting your partner describe what they see as the spell is activated. Any questions before we begin?"

"I have one proffessor." Sarie said from the door. Her heart racing because it was her frist class. "Am I to late to come in?" Sarie didn't know what else to say. She stood in the door way playing with one of her pigtails.
Boncing on the balls of her feet. She gulped looking around. Then she heard in her mind they're uneven she might let you in to even things up. She bit her lip as she stood there, feeling stupid.

"WHAT?!" Fallon couldn't help but say. "Honestly Professor, you aren't being very fair!" Fallon said, hands on her hips, standing away from her chair, out of which she had jumped.
Fallon looked at Miss Marks. She was cheery, happy, and she looked interested in the lesson. Fallon shivered. How raw. She couldn't believe the day she was having. This, professor, if you want to call her that, was clearly biased against her.
She didn't really think her outburst was going to get her anywhere. Clearly she should have just kept her mouth shut. Fallon said down heavily, like a large doll. She scooted her legs underneath the desk, and placed her arm heavily on the desk. Resting her head in the palm of her hand, she sighed. The little ball of sunshine and spirit would have to come to her, she wasn't about to move.

Maeve knocked on the door frame, shaking a little. She didn't like being late, but she figured it was better late, then never. "Is it too late to arrive to class?" She asked nervously, "Because if it is, I'd understand..." She trailed off thoroughly worried that she was too late. The class sounded interesting and wanted to be apart of it. She stood in the doorway looking at the Professor, waiting for her response.

The professor sighed as even more latecomers showed up, "Alright, alright. Miss Thimble, Miss Connor? You two shall be a and you'll also be each others partners for this next excersice. Now I hate to be rude... sort of, but the next late-comer through those doors is going to be a toad!"
"Miss Winters, how do you see me as being unfair? Simply because I am an adult and as long as I don't break any laws I can do very well what I please in my own classroom? Well, I'm sorry you feel that way, but no one forced you to come here and no one is forcing you to stay. If you would like to leave, then by all means. If you would to request a different partner in a more eloquent and grown-up manner, I'm willing to listen, but screaming and throwing tantrums because you don't get your way is no way to act in my class room, are we quite clear on that?"

Fallon sighed. She would get now where with this Professor and so her temper rose greatly. Her face becoming red, she looked up at the Professor. Somehow the idea of being thrown from the classroom didn't appeal to her, and if Fallon left on her own, it would be veiwed as a defeat.
"I Apologize." She forced out, and sat quiet. It had turned into a horrible day. She did not want to associate with this Professor, and would therefore keep her mouth shut for the rest of the lesson. She had a feeling that the Morley was getting a bit of fun out of annoying Fallon, but the seventh year was done taking the bait.
Seeing that she was still getting the stare down from the deputy headmistress, Fallon groaned and got up begrudgingly from her seat. She head over to the Hufflepuff, letting her hair fall into her eyes darkly. "Well, get up then and lets get going." She said to her partner.

Grace frowned and groaned. "I really am very sorry, Professor," she insisted. She was becoming more and more tardy and she didn't like it herself. She needed a spell or potion or something that would allow her to be in two places at once, that would make life much easier.
When the professor assigned their partners, Grace wasn't particularly fussed. At least she had a partner. Grace turned around and smiled at the Slytherin girl who was her own age, it seemed. She was happy to get someone who she was equally matched with. But by the way the Slytherin kicked up such a fuss, you'd have thunk the professor was asking her to do seventy laps around the school. Grudgingly though, Fallon did join her.
Grace stood up when she was bid and ... then she was standing. She frowned and looked from Fallon to the Professor. "I'm sorry, Professor," she said, "are we supposed to perform the Navitas spell on ourselves? What are we supposed to see?" Grace didn't fancy the idea of performing an unknown spell on herself and she didn't want to give Fallon any bad news about her face if it broke into boils or something awful like that.
