Maria sat in a chair in front of the crackling fireplace. Looking around the room, she saw the yellow and black colors of her house and the badgers here and there. Every house had their common rooms decorated like this, she assumed, only with their colors. She wondered if anyone else got tired of seeing them all the time. Hufflepuff was her house. It was where she belonged, or so the hat had said, but there were times when she got so tired of it.
She sighed as she thought of the judgements that people, mostly Slytherins, had made about her simply because she was a Hufflepuff. It was the house where you went when you weren't good enough, according to them. But she had yet to meet a completely incompetent Hufflepuff. All had their different unique abilities, and most were good friends. Still, she couldn't help but wonder if she would be a little more comfortable sitting in the Ravenclaw common room, or the Gryffindor, or even Slytherin(she was a pureblood, after all).

Dru walked into the common rooms and looked around for a spot to sit. She walked over to the fireplace and saw Maria staring at the Hufflepuff crest. She threw herself down in a chair and tossed her bag onto the ground. "if you look at it hard enough maybe it will come to life!" She said with a laugh, she smiled at Maria to make sure she knew it was just a joke. Dru's hair was blue again, it normally was unless she was in an odd mood. She took her robe off and laid it over the arm of the chair she was sitting it.

Maria looked up at the sound of the voice. Smiling at the familiar face, she shook her head. "I doubt it, but you never know around here." Maria looked at the blue-haired girl. Dru's blue hair was always a noticable sight in the crowd, and whenever it wasn't blue one could assume something was up with Dru. "So, Dru, what have you been up to?" she asked, making conversation.
Since she had gone through her whole schooling career with Dru, Maria considered her a friend, or at least closer than most people. Although now that she was getting older, her lack of friends was starting to get to Maria a little. Maybe she would have to try and be more social.
Her eyes went back up at the crest for a moment. Shaking her head, she tried to banish the doubts she had about being in Hufflepuff. She knew that Hufflepuff was a great house to be a part of. There had been times in the past where she had defended her house to Slytherins. But hard as she try she couldn't shake the fact that she somewhat doubted whether this was where she belonged. But the hat was never wrong, was it?

Dru liked Maria, she was a nice girl who she always got along with. Sometimes she felt like her friend was off on another planet. But Dru wasn't the type to pry into someones personal life. She reached into her bag and pulled out a handful of photos and started looking through them. "I have been with Roe, we were giving out fever fudge to the 2nd years. They didn't it was fever fudge though, you would think they would learn by now not to accept anything from us." She was looking intently at a photo of her and her mother, only she was much younger.
Dru missed her mother a lot, never getting to spend much time with her since she passed away. But she didn't like to let people know she could get so emotional so she quickly turned the photo away. "What have you been up to all day? haven't seen you much?" She asked as she pulled the wrapper off a chocolate frog and began to eat it.

Maria giggled a little. "Poor little second years," she said shaking her head. "They never learn. We weren't that gullible in our second year were we?" she asked, trying to remember. It seemed so long ago. Maria watched as the girl started looking through photos. Then Dru, set the picture aside and opened a chocolate frog. Maria was slightly curious as to what the picture was, but not enough to bother the girl about the picture.
"Me? Just the same old, same old. Went out to the lake and along the edge of the forest for a walk. And then I came up here. I don't even know how long I've been sitting here," Maria said looking up at the clock on the wall. She knew it had been while, since she had gotten so lost in her thoughts.

"We were never that gullible! Dru said as she stuffed down the last of her chocolate frog. She took the rest of the photos and put them back in her bag. She glanced up at the clock as well, the day had passed so fast, as most of them did these days. Having spend almost her whole day with Roe she felt like it was almost a waste and she didn't have time to do much.
She turned sideways in her chair and threw her legs over the side. "Sounds fun. I haven't been to the lake in ages it seems! When is our next trip to hogsmaede? I'm just dying to do again.? Dru asked as she studied her friend more closely.
She could notice something was up with her friend, something with the long, lost look in her eyes and how she kept staring at things like the crest. "You ok? You seem to be kind of off in another universe today. Dru was hoping this wouldn't upset her, but Dru wasn't really one to keep her mouth shut.

Naruto stepped into the common room for the first time and looked around before blocking her eyes and moaning dramatically. "NO! Tis the blinding yellow!" Naruto cried dramatically. Not loud enough for anyone further than three feet to hear but dramatically all the same. "I still can't believe you never bothered to come to the common room. I mean where have you been sleeping Woman?" Ramen, Naruto's boggart friend, asked in his tall male human form. "Actually I have been sleeping in the halls and outside because no one bothered to give me the password for so long." Naruto told him in a tone that clearly said she was aggravated. "You should have asked Briar sooner then!" Ramen scolded his human friend with a frown. He only did not know where she slept because he slept in closets he found around the school. He was concerned for his small female friend though. "I did! Well...I did eventually." Naruto retorted with a frown. "We're getting off the subject of your stubborn inability to ask for help." Ramen sighed with a matching frown. You would think they were siblings if you did not know them. "You know, the funny thing about badgers is that they are actually very vicious creatures." Naruto told him in an informative tone. He looked at her like she had lost her mind. "WHAT?! You said change the subject!" Naruto accused. "I think you've lost your mind finally." Ramen suggested with a smirk. Naruto punched him in the shoulder causing him to whine and rub his arm pitifully.

Maria looked at Dru carefully for a moment, deciding how to answer the girl's question. Just as she was about to speak however, a small second year girl entered the room, speaking with her boggart. Maria knew the girl instantly as Naruto. Ever since the girl had come to Hogwarts and been sorted in Hufflepuff, Naruto and her constant talking to her pet had annoyed Maria, and it took a lot to annoy Maria. Looking over at them she rolled her eyes slightly. She hadn't even noticed the girl's absence from the common room.
Ignoring the girl, Maria looked back at Dru with a small smile. "When am I not off in another universe, Dru?" she asked with a short laugh. Maria had always kept people at some distance. She just couldn't let anyone get too close, so she kept them a good distance away. Dru was one of the few who was closer. Sighing she looked back up at the crest. "But yeah, I'm fine. It's just that when you think about things you sometimes realize how much they suck."
Shaking her head slightly at the thought, she looked at the ground for a moment. Lifting her gaze up at Dru once more she answered, "I'm not sure exactly, but I do hope it is soon. I've been wanting to make a trip to Honeydukes." Maria closed her eyes and smiled as she thought of all the wonderful treats that Honeydukes held.

Evette murmured the password and stepped into the Hufflepuff common room. This was one of her rare moments where she could relax. There was nothing to do, no studying, no homework. Fay was off somewhere in the castle stirring up mischief, probably too busy to do anything today but she didn't mind. Eve needed a break.
The girl noted three other girls in the room. She assumed the two talking were around her age, maybe sixth year. Evette recognized the faces but yet again, couldn't match the names. Her eyebrow shot up as her gaze landed on a 2nd year talking to a boggart. The girl mumured something inaudible in French and plopped down near the fire, not too far from the 6th years.
"Thinking that you don't belong?" Evette said to the girl staring at the crest. She had found herself in a similar situation several times, knowing that lost look.

"Pft, I don't belong anywhere." Naruto remarked not letting on how much that bothered her. "Of course you do. You belong in the kitchen making me snacks and around me whenever that vile star woman tries to kill me." Ramen told her jokingly. "I will poison your food Boggart! Then you won't have to worry about Polaris killing you." Naruto snapped punching him after he had sat on her lap practically squishing her. She had sat down on the couch and her legs were beginning to fall asleep with his extra weight. "You better not or you'll be alone, no one but me will ever hang out with you." Ramen warned. "You liar. Sarie, Briar, and Polaris hang around with me! Ash hangs out with me in the library too! Get off me you fat tub of lard!" Naruto finally demanded pushing the boggart off her lap and onto the cold stone floor. "OW! I hate you. You're always so mean!" Ramen whined. "Like I care!" Naruto responded haughtily turning up her nose. She knew he loved her and he was just whining again. "You are more than welcome to sit with us Miss..." Naruto remembered she did not know the older girls name. She was not very good with names in the first place unless she had spoken with the person she was trying to remember. "No! It's a trap! Run while you can!" Ramen warned the older girl that had spoken to them dramatically. "Quiet you! Or I'll stop making your precious pumpkin bread! See how long you last without that! Ignore the idiot, he has no idea what he's talking about." Naruto said kicking Ramen hard causing him to whine.

Dru looked up at the young hufflepuff walked in with her Bogart. She had seen her before but didn't really know her much. But it seemed people found her annoying, but Dru didn't really have any opinion yet.
Ha, yeah I guess you right. You do always seem to be off. Said Dru as she picked at her nails. She thought she might know what was going on with Maria but she knew it was the kind thing to do to give her space and privacy till she wanted to talk.
So, she changed the subject instead. Yeah, I hope its soon too. I need to get out of the castle for a while I think. Just then another Hufflepuff walk in the room, it was Evette, Dru knew her somewhat but not a whole lot. But she thought she was a nice person. Wow, you just lay it out there dont you? Just start with the big questions. Dru said to Evette with a smile. She kind of felt like it would have been best to not say something like that, but then Evette didn't know Maria like she did so she probably didn't know that was a bad idea.

Evette smiled at Dru. Now she remembered her name. She shrugged with a mock guilty look on her face. The girl let out a light laugh "Tends to be a habit of mine. My apologies for barging in like that...it is also a bad habit of mine. So what have you been up to, Dru?" Eve knew the 6th year enough to know that she was nice.
Evette turned toward the 2nd year who had addressed her. "Evette. My name is Evette Rockwood" she added a little flourish to her name with her thick French accent. "And yours?" Eve was kind, even to the most..unique people.

"I'm bored." Naruto sighed looking at her friend. "Me too. Let's find Sarie and get her to give us that book." Ramen suggested. "Sounds good to me!" Naruto cheered running for the portrait hole before Ramen could get up. "HEY! Wait for me!" Ramen commanded running after the smaller girl. "NO! You catch up!" Naruto told him pushing out the portrait hole with a laugh and running out quickly to find her Gryffindor friend Ramen following behind as fast as he could.

Dru watched the 2nd year fall out of the portrait hole, then she turned back to Maria and Evette. "I have been doing a bunch of nothing really. Just the same old trouble making."Dru said as she turned to sit upright in the chair, pulling her legs up Indian style.
"Who was that girl?" Dru asked, she had seen the girl walking around with her Bogart before but didn't really know her. She decided even a good prank would be wasted on her so Roe and herself never met the girl.

Evette blinked a couple of times. The second year had just walked out, ignoring her introduction and question. "Well then..." She shrugged and turned back to Dru. "I was about to find out who she was...though that didn't work out quite as I expected." Eve laughed softly. "Yes, today is my day to relax. Too much studying has gone to my head and I'm about to go insane! Fabuleux!" Eve exclaimed, throwing her hands up into the air, scattering the papers that were laying on her lap. As they fluttered to the ground, Eve sighed.
"I'm so sorry" Evette said, picking up a paper that had landed on Dru's head.
