"Alas," Illyana lamented, "No information could be found in any record and no spell could reveal them to use. We have nothing but their faces to work with. Anything that could identify them seemed to vanish when the last of them died. Not even their wands survived."
A glint of self-worth could be seen in Illyana's eyes.
"I have my suspisions, however. I know the identity of some... Organisations... that would want me and the Minister dead, me more than him I fear. This was not the first attempt at my life, far from it. It seems I spend more time fighting for survival than fulfilling my ministerial duties..."

"That is grave indeed; that your life is in constant peril must be a strain difficult to bear. Yet you've strength enough I believe." He spoke shrewdly his eyes alighting upon her once more, having drifted a moment towards a portrait of an eccentric old warlock who beamed happily down at the pair; seemingly oblivious to the dire nature of the talk; as he clearly didn't revel in it.
"It is curious indeed that there was no trace whatsoever; they must have planned meticulously for their deaths in case it arose; perhaps a complx spell eradicated their traces? Or was it merely the death curses inflicted upon their hapless souls?" He mused expecting no real answer that would satisfy his dislike for their killing.
"Evidently you've taken measures to secure yours and the Minister's safety, yet I still fear for you." He spoke sincerly yet his voice was touched with a slight sarcasm; too many people believed she had brought the attacks upon herself, yet she still didn't quite deserve to be threatened so; Darrow had to focus upon her better nature, if she had one.

"Oh I assure you I am now most safe." Illyana smiled at the Headmaster. She would not explain to him that her law enforcement agents now had the authority to kill on site. Illyana would not explain that she had half of the Aurors who used to work for the old Minister in Azkaban under no charges. Illyana would not inform the teacher that she was considering bringing the Dementors back to gaurd the wizarding prison. No... she could not tell.
"I have personally ensured that the Minstry is free of all possible dissidents. I did a little... pruning of the ranks... I couldn't have people questioning my authority could I...? No, that would be a little silly." Illyana answered her own question before Darrow could offer any form of reply.
"My investigative warlocks tell me that a complex combination of a spell and a potion charmed to release opon the death of the carrier destroyed all traces of the attackers." Illyana explained. "An exciting combination even if it was used so destructivly."

"You always were as safe as houses." Commented Darrow dryly beginning to consitently drum his fingers upon his desk to aid his thinking. She clearly had hidden agendas that she would never divulge to anybody; even those trusted few. Yet somehow for the safety of the school and its students; Darrow had to find out information crucial to their survival.
"Loyalty is doubtlessly crucial, yet melding followers is easier I believe; rather than ridding yourself of them." Stated Darrow bright brown eyes focusing purely upon Illyana; his steely penetrating gaze quite powerful. "Our methods are different certainly, yet perhaps they yield similar results? Leastways I achieve what I set out to do.
"Indeed? How very ingenius, effectively destructive and disgraceful, yet doubtlessly cleverly made. Few witches and wizards could think that up, never mind actually have power and grace enough to produce such a complexity. I'm troubled that anyone would dare utilise such actions, such careful planning must have been performed, your attackers were crafty indeed." He remarked with a shake of his head in resignation. "I'm certain Magical Law Enforcement Officers can still track them down easily enough though, given their efficient methods."

Illyana looked at the man sitting across from her. She gazed deep into him. She could not tell if he would pose a threat to her. She knew he was powerful. The Headmasters always were. In a duel could she defeat him? She would be quick to use an unforgivable curse and he... what would he use..? Stupefy like the heroes of the days of her youth?
Illyana knew that one day Proffessor Darrow would make his move. Wether it was for her or against her she did not know all she knew is that she was wary of it. Whatever move it was going to be Illyana knew it would end the stalemate once and for all.
"I am sorry to say that all our investigative techniques have been exhausted already. There is nothing we can do." Illyana said, once again hiding the real truth of the matter. "You are welcome of course to investigate the scene yourself... I am doubtful however that you will find anything. The things we long for are often the things we never find."
