(Open) Running From the Betrothed

Aiden smiled. " Your parents wouldn't like that at all. They'd probably hate and make sure I was locked up forever or something. So I'd never see you again." He said, his smile growing slightly. " Still, it would be worth the risk. Then we could do whatever we wanted without having to worry about anyone else." He felt her squeeze his hand. " Same here. As long as I was with you, it wouldn't really matter where we were."

Aiden grinned. " Oh, you know. The usual places. The kitchens are pretty popular with me. So is the lake. Basically anywhere I feel like going at the time." He said, shrugging his shoulders slightly. He chuckled slightly. " Yeah, that was me. Of course, it's a secret. You can't tell." He said, giving her a smirk. " And I think you should leave the curtains up. A little prank never hurt anyone now and then."

Aiden nodded. " I love to read." He admitted. " And I like action films sometimes. And if the right person can convince me, I might sit through a sappy romance." He gave her a grin. " You like to draw? Maybe you could show me some of your drawings sometime..." He asked hopefully. " I can't really draw, but I play guitar pretty well." He listened to her continue, nodding. " Not getting what you love...That's never easy...I hate failure. That would be the one thing I hate or fear more than anything else. Either that or ending up alone forever. That sounds kinda cheesy, but can you imagine just living your life all by yourself?" He shook his head. " That would be the worst."

" Since you'll be Cinderella, I'll be Prince Charming. Because it's you." Aiden agreed with a smile. His smile grew slightly at her question. " Why you? Well...maybe we haven't known eachother long but you're one of the only peope I've ever met that I can carry a conversation with and feel comfortable with right away. Your smart and you make me laugh. Not to mention you're gorgeous." He said, brushing a strand of blonde hair out of her pretty face.

Maeve nodded. "They would do someting that would possibly involve both of us. I don't even want to think about it, it's so aweful." she sighed. "I'd hate to know what Joseph'd do." She took his hand and placed it on her shoulder so that his arm was draped across the back of her neck. "That's good to know, because I don't plan on leaving you until I must."

Maeve smiled and got a little closer to him. "The lake's a very nice place. I do believe I have seen you down there. But I was hiding in a tree or in one of the towers." she returned his smirk. "Oh, monsier, why would I tell on you? And my little pranks have hurt people before." she laughed. "Just ask Bella, she's seen what I've done to Joseph."

"Reading's good. Very few of us Slytherins do it in front of other Slytherins, so it's hard to find someone who likes it in my house." she rested her head on his arm. "Are you saying that if I were to ask, you'd sit with me through a love story?" she nodded. "Of course you can, as long as you play for me on your guitar. I love music, especailly guitars. And, I think I have drawn you, quite a few times actually." she nodded again. "Not getting what I love is what I hate, but you're right. Being alone forever is fearful. Luckily, we don't have to worry about that. I'm going to stick with you forever."

She blushed and looked up to him. "Thanks, that actually means something coming from you. But you are tres beau compared to me." She grabbed his hand gently and intertwined her fingers with his. "I love that you feel comfortable with me. I love that I can make you laugh. I love that you helped me. I love that I met you." she blushed a little harder. "And I think I fell for you." she smiled.

Aiden made a face. " Yeah, you're right. That would be completely awful." He agreed with her. He assumed Joseph was her betrothed. Actually, he knew Maeve's parents and Joseph would both be livid if they knew how she and Aiden were getting along so well at the moment. It wasn't a pleasant thing to think about and he gradually changed the subject.

" Aw so you're stalking me now?" He teased her, giving her shoulder a slight squeeze, his arm draped around both her shoulders. " The tower would be another one of my favorite places to hide out, too. The view is pretty awesome, plus hardly anyone is up there." He said, shrugging his own shoulders slightly. He grinned at her. " I don't think you would tell on me...Afterall, you're now telling me all the pranks you've pulled." He laughed. " Eh, mine haven't really hurt anyone too bad. Mostly just irritate them." He said with a mischevious smirk.

Aiden nodded. " I guess that is what I'm saying." He said with a smile. " I would sit through a love story with you, just because it was you who was asking." He said with a laugh. " I'll play for you anytime. I love music." He told her. His smile grew. " You've drawn me before?" He asked, surprised. " Wow...I feel flattered, actually, that someone found me interesting enough to draw." He grinned at her. His smile softened at her words. " Good, I'm glad about that."

" You're welcome. I wouldn't say it unless I thought it was true." He told her. " And thank you, too, but I don't think I'm tres beau compared to a girl like you." He said with a smile. " I love that I helped you. And I love that I met you, too." He told her. " And I know I fell for you already."

[Maeve Malfoy]

Maeve smiled. "Now, why would I stalk a Gryffindor boy I didn't know?" she joked. "I think the lake is a better place than the towers. The towers may have beautiful sites, but the lake is still more beautiful up close." she smiled. "I couldn't tell on you. So, irritate them, you say?" she laughed. "How so?"

"That's another good thing to know. I just might make you suffer through a romance movie. Although I don't know if I'd be paying attention to it as much as I would to you." she grinned. "Now, are you a good guitarist?" she played with him. "And would you play down by the lake for me? Like a private concert. Just us two." she smiled back at him.

"You're welcome back." she smiled. "And I still think you're tres beau, no matter what you say." She let go of his hand, and slowly walked in front of him. She lightly wrapped her arms around his neck, and came close to his face again. "So, you wouldn't mind," she moved a little closer, "if I do," she moved so her lips where barely touching his, "this?" she placed a butterfly kiss on Aiden's lips, and pulled away a few inches.

Aiden shrugged. " Why wouldn't you?" He grinned. " I think I'm very stalkable." He added on. " It really depends for me. If I'm annoyed and don't want to talk to anyone, I'll go to the tower." He explained. Hardly anyone was ever there and it was a great place to escape to when you had no where else. He grinned mischeviously, nodding. " Oh you know..just pull some annoying tricks. Like switching people's wands for those fake ones, setting off dung bombs in someone's bed...Just things that really irk people. Watching people's reactions is funny." He said, grinning even wider. Sure, it sounded a little mean but it was true.

Aiden laughed. " Well, that's good to know. I probably wouldn't be paying too much attention either, considering you would be sitting next to me." He said, giving her a playful smile. " Eh, I guess you could say I'm good. I've been playing for a while. And I would love to play for you. Anytime you want." He told her. He rarely ever played for others unless they asked, and he was more than willing to play his guitar for Maeve. As long as she would show him her drawings that is. " That means you have to show me your sketches and drawings" He smiled.

Aiden stopped as Maeve stepped in front of him, snaking her arms around his neck. She stepped closer and Aiden comfortable wrapped his own arms around her slim waist. He raised his eyebrows slightly, as Maeve slowly leaned in closer to him. He felt her lips gently brush against his, feeling soft. He smiled when she pulled away a few inches. " By all means, do that anytime you feel the need. " He answered her. Aiden smiled at her before leaning in and pressing his lips to hers once more.

"I might start, if you want me to." she laughed. "Stalkable? I believe you are now." she nodded. "So, whenever I get wind that you're annoyed, I go to the tower? Sounds like a plan. I bet I can get you back to normal from your annoyed state." she smirked at him. "Oh, yes indeed. It is very funny to watch them get mad. Has anyone tried to get back at you, but you see it coming only to turn it back on them?" she questioned, curiously.

"We'd be too interested in each other to pay attention." she smiled. "I'll be glad to listen and hear what you can do. I will show you all my drawings and sketches. Just name the time and place, I'll be there, as long as you bring your guitar, Aiden." she smiled, challengingly. She liked the thought of him playing for her. She didn't mind that she'd show him her drawings. Then she wondered something. "Do you sing, too?"

Maeve was happy that he didn't mind, she was ecstatic even more when he returned it. She smiled into the kiss and pressed a little harder against him. She pulled back again, and grinned. She whispered, "Wow. You must've practiced. That was...wow." She couldn't find the words to describe it. "And you shouldn't say anytime I feel the need. For all you know, I could get up in the middle of class and kiss you in front of everyone. I could sneak into the Gryffindor boys' dormitories and kiss you in your sleep." she kissed him again. "I could kiss you during dinner, lunch, or breakfast in the Great Hall." she kissed him lightly. "What are we going to tell everybody if they find out?" she asked in a whisper.

Aiden laughed. " As long as it's you doing the stalking and not someone else." He grinned at her. Actually, though Aiden had never had a true stalker before, he had been followed around by a giggly group of first years before. That hadn't been fun. Aiden's grin grew wider. " I bet you could. Actually, I know you could help me out of an annoyed state." He said, a slight mischevious twinkle in his eyes. He nodded in answer to her question. " Yeah, a couple times before. Then it just makes that person even madder...which I think is fun. " He smirked. " There's been a few people who actually have gotten back at me before, but I usually deserve it anyways."

Aiden smiled. " Sounds good to me." He answered. " We could meet tonight, later on if you wanted. Or tomorrow." He suggested, glancing down at Maeve. " Whatever time is better for you. Doesn't matter to me." He shrugged his shoulders slightly. " Do I sing?" He repeated, a small smile on his lips. " Well, I've been told I can...I don't usually sing for people, but if you're lucky I might sing for you." He grinned.

Aiden grinned. " Well I wouldn't mind any of those times. It might bother the professor or someone else, but wouldn't bother me at all." He said, brushing his lips lightly against her once more. Aiden thought for a moment. Gryffindors and Slytherins were supposed to be enemies. It was amazing how he and Maeve had found themselves feeling this way towards eachother. It was rare a Gryffie and a Slytherin even tolerated one another. That only made Aiden want to be with her more, to prove to everyone that it could work. He shook his head. " I don't know. We could try telling the truth...But we don't have to tell anyone unless we want to."

Maeve smirked. "So, you wouldn't mind if I hid in the trees, unbeknowist to you, studying you to my heart's content? Playing movies in my mind of you and me? Sketching every detail of you when you don't know?" she half-joked. "Just tell me how to help you when your annoyed, and I will. I'll do anything." she added, seeing the twinkle in his eyes and loving it. "So, you admit to deserving the karma they send back to you. I don't think anyone other than my cousins have ever gotten me back." she smiled.

Maeve smiled back at him. "Tonight sounds better than tomorrow. Just tell me where and when, and I'll be there. Anytime time is a good time to meet you." She rested her head on his shoulder. "What do I have to do to get lucky enough to hear you?" she lightly kissed his neck, smiling.

"Well, since you won't mind any of those times, then I'll do it. I'll come in the middle of the night and kiss you as you sleep, maybe even stay for a bit to watch." she stated. Maeve went a bit weak when he kissed her, and she didn't mind. She was seriously wondering how this had happened so fast. But, honestly, she didn't care. "Oh, Bella and Cissy have ways of finding out about things they wish to know. From stalking to prying to tricking, they'll find out about us. They'll use whatever way works. But they wouldn't tell my family, they hate them as much as I do. But, how many Gryffindors would try to find out?" she wondered aloud.

Aiden laughed. " Eh, I wouldn't mind too much. I'd rather have you stalk me than anyone else." He told her with a grin. Aiden smiled at Maeve. " You wouldn't have to do much. Just having you there would be a help." He told her, squeezing her hand lightly. He nodded. " Oh yeah, I deserve it. Maybe not all the time, but half the time I deserve it." He chuckled. Usually only his closest friends could ever get him back. They knew every little thing about him, including all his habits and such, which made it easy to think up a way to get even. Sometimes, it becamse a bit of war to see who could pull the better prank. " Really now? You must be pretty sly then." He grinned.

" Tonight it is then." Aiden agreed. " Doesn't matter when. A little before dark. So somewhere around there." He said. There had to be some light for at least a little while. So he could see the strings of his guitar in the dark. " And we'll meet by the front doors in the Great Hall." Aiden felt Maeve's lips on his neck and a smile played about his lips. " Hmm...I'm not sure. I'll have to think about it." He told her, his smile turning into a grin.

Aiden let out another laugh. " You really are a rebel then. Sneaking into the Gryffindor boy's dorm in the dead of night. Not that I would mind." He said, giving her a playful wink. " So your cousins will find out someway. I hope they wouldn't be mad at you." He said, sounding a little worried. He would hate to make Maeve's own family angry with her. " The Gryffindors will want to know and they'll either be sneaky about it or come right out and ask. My friends will find out easier. The ones I trust, I might tell. I can't keep you a secret. I'll want to brag about how amazing you are." Aiden told her, giving her another smile.

[Maeve Malfoy]

Maeve smiled. "Good. I wouldn't want anyone else to stalk you either. I don't do well with sharing." she added, jokingly. "So, just a hug and kiss and staying with you will turn you back into your normal you, that's good." she smirked. "So now it's half the time?" Only her cousins, and she meant only her cousins, would be able to get her back. And even then, sometimes they wouldn't be able to. "That's what helps me be a Slytherin. Slyness. But, when they get me back, they get me back hard."

"A little before dark. That would most likely be a little after dinner." she smiled. "The Great Hall doors, you say? That'll be easy getting from the dungeons. Are you sure you'll make it from the tower, though?" she smirked, emplying a joke. She kissed his neck a little lighter. "It won't be anything too difficult, will it?" she laughed softly. "But I'll do anything to hear you sing."

She laughed. "Yes, I am a rebel. And I will do that just to watch you sleep. Who knows, I might just join you for a bit, not long, but for a bit." she smiled, mischieviously. "Cissy won't mind, she would except to an extent. Bella, on the other hand, she'd probably blow it out of proportion for a bit, then get used to it. They won't get mad at me for long." she laughed a little again. "At least they'll ask. But I don't think I'm amazing. I'm just another Slytherin girl. Just a Slytherin girl who happened to fall for Hogwarts's greatest Gryffindor boy." she kissed him.

Aiden laughed. " You don't have to share me. I'm all yours." He smirked. " And it wouldn't take much from you to cheer me up at all. Actually I'll take a kiss from you anytime...even when I'm already in a good mood." He said, giving her a broad grin. " So you're sly. I guess I should watch out for that." He teased.

Aiden nodded. " A little after dinner sounds good." He agreed with her. He made a face at her. " Don't worry about me. Didn't I tell you how I sneak out all the time. I'm pretty much a pro at breaking the rules." He said with a grin. Aiden felt her lips on his neck once more and let out a sigh of defeat. " I'll sing. Just because it's you that's asking." He smiled at her.

" Join me? I think I might like that." He said with a laugh. " Well as long as they don't stay mad for long, then it'll work out. My friends won't mind much. Maybe a little at first but they'll get used to it or I'll force them to accept it." He said with a slight grin. " And you really are amazing. So if I'm Hogwart's greatest Gryffindor boy, then you have to be Hogwart's most amazing Slytherin girl." He brushed his lips lightly against her, kissing her back.

Maeve hugged him. "Yay. Only mine." she said, childishly, grinning. She kissed him on his cheek. "I'm going to like this." she kissed his cheek again. "I've never had a boyfriend before, maybe you can tell me what to do." she smiled. "You are most definantly going to have to watch out for me. You never know when I might come up behind you and try to scare you." she joked. "Although, I don't think you'd get scared."

"So, we are to meet at the doors, but where do you plan to go?" she smiled. She took his head lightly in her hands. "A pro at breaking rules, huh? I got the Gryffindor bad boy. I never knew there was one." she ran a finger over his cheek softly. "So, how well do you sing? So good I wouldn't want you to stop, or so well that I'd be put to sleep by a beautiful voice?" she asked, quietly.

"Since you might like it, plan on me showing up some night. Although, why tell you what night?" she said with a wink. "Force them to accept? What a kind Gryffindor you are to your mates." she grinned. "The greatest Gryffindor and the amazing Slytherin of Hogwarts. I like that. It has a nice ring to it." she said, giving up on telling him she's not amazing.

Aiden smiled as Maeve brushed her lips against his cheek. " You've never had a boyfriend before?" He asked, raising his dark eyebrows slightly. " Are you sure? How can any guy stay away from you?" He said with a light smile. Maeve was absolutely gorgeous, not to mention sweet. It was hard to believe a girl like that had never had a boyfriend before. " You can try...I don't scare easily. But if you're as sly as you say you are, you might be able to." He grinned.

Aiden shrugged his shoulders. " Somewhere by the lake. I'll find a spot." He said with a small smile. No teachers or prefects usually patrolled that far on the grounds. Aiden knew because he been on the grounds after dark many times. Maeve's fingers brushed across his cheek. " I guess you'll have to find out." He smiled before pressing his lips to hers once more.

Aiden laughed. " Well hopefully I won't have to force them. Most of them won't care. I know Drake won't." Aiden told her. Aiden grinned broadly. " You're right. I think that does sound pretty cool."

Maeve nodded. "I'm sure I haven't had a boyfriend yet. That's just it. They can't, well, they don't. I enroll the help of Bella and Cissy to keep them away from me." she admitted. "I can always send someone to say I'm dying, but that's be too harsh. I could never be that harsh to you."

She smiled into the kiss. Pulling away slightly, she said, "How'd I know that answer was coming?" She knew she'd get some sort of 'you'll have to find out' answer with one of these questions she was asking.

"Drake? Isn't that the boy you are caught with playing pranks on people with? The older Slytherins talk about you two quite a lot." She laughed. "Red and green are complimentary and the names you have given us just helps. We're a very unruly generation, or we wouldn't be together." she kissed him.
