(Staff Room) Meeting the Staff

Cassidy strolled into the staff room with a slight smile on her face. She was glad someone had decided to organize a meeting of the staff shindig. She hadn't been here very long and yet she had still met pathetically few people.

But then, that had never been her main priority. Sure, she would like to meet some other teachers and make some friends with them but that wasn't what she was here for. She was here to teach others about her love of Ancient Runes.(as dreadfully boring as that may have sounded) Most of her time had been spent organizing notes and classes and deciding what homework to give and what homework to mark.

She walked over to the coffee/tea table and poured herself a cup of tea. She sighed; a smirk on her lips. Tea was exactly what she needed right now. She glanced about the room unsure of what to do. She vaguely missed the days of when she wanted to meet people she just got drunk, made a fool of yourself, and then you and your new friends laughed about it the next morning. She sighed, those were the good ol' days.

"Ah, Magic. A wonderful invention." Autumn said, accepting the cup from the new Professor. She smelled the warm steam floating from the hot liquid and immediately she became awake. It was amazing what caffeine could do for you. She took a sip. "Lovely." She smiled at the new Professor.

Relaxing, she sat back with the mug still in hand, holding it close to her face. She crossed her legs and sighed a sigh of relief. Taking another long sip, she placed the mug down on the coffee table in front of her. "May I dive into the conversation. Not to be rude." She said with a smile.

She looked toward the door that had opened. "Cassidy." She said with her welcoming smile. "Now the party can start." Autumn scooted over and made room for the Runes Professor, patting the sofa on which she sat. The gesture openly a welcome one. [/font]

She laughed lightly as she crossed over the room to sit with Autumn. It had been a while since she'd spoken to adults in a social gathering. She smiled maybe it wouldn't be too bad.

"What can I say," she said smirking. "Where I go the party soon follows. But the party can only be brought if you're here Autumn. I remember our years at Hogwarts. There was never a party I was at that you weren't." She said laughing. The two had been separated by houses and by a couple years and yet both of them had always found a way into most house parties.

She sat down beside the care of magical creatures proffessor. "I always enjoy sitting on this couch," she said with small smile. "It's always so comfortable." She said slowly as she took a small sip of tea.

She laughed quietly to herself try to figure out why she just said something so ridiculous. "I apologize for that.I didn't get a lot of sleep last night."
