A rushing filled Loren's head suddenly, the pink haze thinning away, the soft sounds around her returning to their harsher tones, bashing her senses and making her feel ill. The pure euphoria she had been feeling for the last couple of minutes had completely drained away to leave her with nothing but a tingling in her fingers and toes... and Professor Hubbles trying to kiss her.
'OH - MY - GOD!' She screamed at the top of her voice, immediately slapping him so hard across the face spit flew from his mouth. 'DAX, HELP! DAAAX!' She cried out as she began to scratch, punch and kick Professor Hubbles with all her might, growling furiously as she ragged as his hair and clothes in completely horror of what he had just been about to do. Where in Merlin's name was Dax - and why wasn't he protecting her?!
'You're horrible and old and ugly and arrogant!' She screech in a fast onslaught as she stood up, only trying to hit him harder. He'd thrown his arms up trying to protect himself but it was doing nothing stop Loren - she wanted to see him BLEED. 'Dirty - old - PERVERT!'
It was then that a sickliness realisation filled Loren. She was chewing gum. And it definitely wasn't hers.
'No... you didn't... you... DID.' Loren slowly stepped back, her mouth hanging open. She spat the gum out into her hand and stared at it, mortified, before looking at Professor Hubbles. 'WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!'

He had won, Loren had pulled away and slapped him. That soon brought Dan down from his high perch, that was not in the game rules to be slapped. She was the one who kissed him first. Rubbing cheek as it slowly turned red, Dan shot up off the bench in protest.
“You kissed me first, you came onto me, you…you started this whole game. Where is Dax he will back me up on this...oh wait you in your eagerness to leap onto me sent him off to get you a drink. The poor sod is heart broken, you evil, evil girl.”
This was how it had always been , the two of them at loggerheads, both wanting to kill the other and now this had just added more fuel to the fire. Dan’s chest was heaving up and down as he slowly moved his hand from his cheek to his side, he was not going to show any signs of weakness to this girl, a slap would never stop him.
“I think you may have blown it with the only fool stupid enough to like you, God knows what Dax sees in you, and still after the way you treated him he went off to get some orange juice. So don’t go around calling me an old man when you boasted to me about being old enough to leave school, that was just before you confessed to love me.”
With wild hand gestures and over exenterated impressions of Loren a small crowd was starting to gather around them, some where chatting and name calling while others looked on in shock.

Loren shook her head in disbelieve, her mouth open. 'Drinks? Leaving school? Love? I don't have a clue what you're on about, you complete and utter liar! The last thing I remember doing was looking at love potions!' She shouted, marching up to him with balled fists, barely able to control herself. Professor Hubbles seemed to be doing a much better job at restraining himself than Loren, and that only infuriated her more. 'I would never in my life kiss you, not for a million galleons - you're HORRIBLE!' She spat with a wrinkled nose, looking him up and down with disgust. 'In your dreams that I ever would!'
Loren spun round - her hair hitting him in the face as she went - and looked toward Dax would had just appeared from the crowd spotting three cups of orange juice and a very forlorn expression. 'Dax, what on earth just -' As Loren unclenched her fists, she felt the warm, gooey chewing gum she had completely forgot about, glued all over her palm. Narrowing her eyes to furious little slits, Loren turned around slowly, her face full of thunder. 'Do you want your chewing gum back?' She said in a low, dangerous voice.
Before Professor Hubbles could even reply Loren had shoved her palm into his face, mashing in the awful, sticky substance...

Dan could not help put chuckle as he saw the confused expression on the Ravenclaw’s face, however at the back of his mind he had to fight hard not to look like that as well. He had thought it was all a game, a tease by Loren to try and prove Dan as weak, that she could out smart him. His stomach turned over, he had just kissed a students, and a Ravenclaw at that. He could feel the colour drain form his face as Loren’s hair flicked against him and she stormed away. However it soon turned red with rage once more as the brat had the guts and the audacity to press the chewing gum against his face.
He could feel it get cover and stick to his stubble, and he could hear the laughter around them from the gathering crowd. He could not let Loren get away with it, pulling out his wand from hi robe Dan pointed at his face and the chewing gum went from the side of his face to the back of the Ravenclaw’s head. He would have dearly wished to do so much more, but he could not do that in front of all these people, he would get into enough trouble as it was.
“This is when I leave you Miss Hayes. I think Mr Simmons will be able to fill in all the other details along the way. But all I can tell you is that the school will be much better once you have left!”
With that Dan spun on the spot, letting his robe flutter around him in the breeze and walked through the crowd before slipping into the nearest shop waiting for the crowds to die down before he went back to the castle.

Loren gasped as she felt something materialise in the thick locks of hair at the back of her hair. She looked up at Professor Hubbles, mortified to see that the chewing gum was no longer smeared across his arrogant face. He seemed dreadfully pleased with himself as he turned and began to walk away, and Loren slowly raised her hand to the back of her head, tears forming in her eyes as she felt the sticky, cold glue pressed into her hair, the strands knotted and clogged. 'Just you wait... just you wait, Hubbles...' Loren whispered as she watched him disappear entirely into the crowds.
In too much of a state to bother with her wand, Loren took the chewing gum in her hand and sobbed, agonised, as she tore it mercilessly from her head, a handful of hair ripping out of their roots with it. Several people were laughing as they walked away, and Loren knew there was no point in trying to find somewhere private to cry. Turning to Dax, she placed her face against his chest and slipped her arms tightly around his waist, fresh tears flooding down her cheeks. In Dax's arms she began to cry more freely, her shoulders shaking uncontrollably as she pressed her eyes against his shirt. 'Oh Dax, what did I do wrong? I hate him so much, he's ruining my life.'

The past events were a complete blur to Dax from being shooed away by too debating whether to buy two drinks or three and finally Loren crying onto his shoulder. He did not know quite what to do, other then think that the orange juice that was being squashed into him would surely stain his shirt. Finding his wand from his robes Dax raised to Loren’s torn hair and the remains of the chewing gum disappeared and a very fetching hat appeared on her head to cover the bald patch.
Lorne’s shaking and tears seemed to increases and Dax felt hopeless standing in the middle of Hogsmeade not knowing what to say. This was meant to be a nice day so they could spend time together, but as normal something had to happen. Gently planting a kiss on her head Dax raised her head and gently whipped away the tears that were streaming down her face.
“Come on, I said I was going to buy you a present. Maybe some rouge witch will be selling a voodoo doll.”
Dax gave Loren another quick squeeze hoping that she could be able to relax soon, however she had gone through quite an ordeal and by the look on a Gryffindor girls face in the distance she may get a bit of hate mail to go with it.
