Post by Henry Boggleworth on Mar 9, 2007 12:58:12 GMT
Boggleworth had anticipated the move by the Slytherin so simply stepped back to his former position. Pretending to continue with the Slytherin's little games, they probably thought it highly amusing he swept back and bowed low to the young lady, "a thousand apologies" he acted totally serious noticing people were congregating around them, some seemingly eager for a fight or vicious brawl to commence. As they whispered amongst themselves quite probably betting on how long it would take the mere Hufflepuff as most would think him, to fall he grinned slightly worriedly now as students stopped in the street gawping at the scene, soon rumours would spread throughout Hogwarts of this event, though really of little significance, he would use it to his own advantage to discredit the Slytherins, clearly they were the agressors and he was determined to not sink to their level. Students would know who was to blame for the forthcoming blows, if indeed they did ever come. He wondered whether they were all talk and no action. "My manners are quite intact thankyou, I'd kiss your hand my lady but I'm quite certain you wouldn't want my filthy lips upon them," he said sarcastically not even bothering to reach for her hand as he believed she would soon recoil in utter distaste of him. Keeping a fixed smile he looked warily at the two flashing a grin at each as if to dare them to strike him, whispering to Marishka who was nearest he asked so only she could hear, "you sure you'll beat me?"

Marishka pushed him away hard.
'Don't challenge me, you stupid boy!' she said savagely, such an angry sneer on her face her teeth were bared. The Hufflepuff's facade of manners had worn thin now. Since when had Hufflepuff forgot their place in the pecking order? When Marishka's parents had been at school, no simpering Hufflepuff would have dared stand up to a Slytherin! This one was either very ignorant or very self-loathing. Besides, Marishka was a lady. What trophy did this self-proclaimed gentlemen expect from squaring himself up to a younger female?
'Go on, take it on the chin,' she whispered back, equally quiet, her eyes narrowed pitilessly. 'Show everyone how civilised you are.'

Ariane felt the anger starting to simmer. She pushed Boggleworth out of her way "Oh, he doesn't need to damage his reputation. I'll jsut do it myself" and she punched the older girl in the face, loving the feeling of the solid connection. She whipped out her wand and secretly wished that her brother was there... but she had Henry on her side, she could feel his presence right behind her. "You bloody Slytherins think you know everything. You and Charles would fit together perfectly" she added the last bit to no one in peticular.

As the Hufflepuff girl's fist jammed into the side of her face, Marishka turned her head away so as to soften the impact. He cheek throbbed with the clever little blow, and for a moment she was silent, stretching her jaw as she adjusted to the unexpected pain. What a little -- Marishka glared down at her now, an destructive gleam in her eye.
Upon the mention of Charles, Marishka realised this was none other than Ariane Winchester. A sly little grin crept across her face. 'Oh, I must agree, we do.' She chirped, remembering witnessing his plotting in the common room the other night. Marishka wondered if Ariane had any idea her boyfriend was plotting anything against her and her brother. She also distinctly remembered a little something about humiliating Ariane.
'You have lovely hair, Ariane.' Marishka complimented, suddenly grasped the side of the girl's head, coiling a thick lock of it into her fingers. 'I wish it was mine.' She tore her hand away violently, a satisfying dreg of long dark hair coming away with it. There was a ripple of mixed reactions from the surrounding crowd, some jeering in approval while others shouted angrily. Marishka ignored them all.

Ariane chocked back the stinging tears and swallowed heavily. "I'm sure you do, with your horribly rat's nest it's only natural to want anyones hair other than yours, even if it was just a lowley Hufflepuff's" her vouice rang with sarcasticness. Ariane grinned evily and ignored the jeers from the crowd and soaked up the shouts of anger as more power. "Your clothes, they seem a little dirty, here let me brush them clean" she reached out and tore the sleeves off the coat that the girl was wearing and threw them to the ground.

Watching the two girls fight he could not help look absolutely disgusted. There were two reasons. The First was that they had just come across a Hufflepuff, who he had heard a lot about and for some reason could not work out the attraction. She was an arrogant, plain looking girl who acted like she was twenty not 15. The second thing was that Marishka had got herself involved in such a pathetic fight.
After the hair had been pulled and clothes had been ripped Nathan decide to step in. Pulling out his wand and placing it directly in front of the girl. A sly grin filled his face as a stream of purple light flew out of his wand, hitting the girl square in the chest. Then with a small pop the Hufflepuff was no longer there and a rat fell to the ground with a bump.
Nathan could not help put let out a cruel laugh as he looked at the small creature, with a patch of fur missing from where Marishka had pulled out her hair.

Rat's nest? RAT'S NEST?
Marishka was just about to launched into a speech about how her hair, mainly due to breeding, was far superior to the Hufflepuff's limp locks. However, her onslaught was interrupted as Ariane grabbed the shoulder of Marishka's robes, yanking hard with her nails to that a section of the materal ripped away, being swiftly disgarded on the floor. 'Oh, how dare you! I'm going to make you wish you'd never been born, Winchester!'
She whipped her wand up in front of her. A hex was on her lips, but at that moment Nathan seemed to come alive and appeared at Marishka's side, a malevolent grin on his face and his own wand pointed squarely at Ariane. A moment later the Hufflepuff girl had vanished, being replaced by a small black rat with a clump of fur missing.
Marishka clasped her hands together and shrieked with laughter. 'A perfect look for you!' She bent down, picking Ariane's wand up and twirling it in her fingers. Ariane scurried this way and that, and Marishka took mirth in stomping her foot in the way of wherever she tried to run. She looked at Boggleworth now. 'What's this? Too good to even defend your friends now?' she asked mockingly.
Realising that at any moment now some other student would probably step up in an attempt to be a hero, Marishka quickly pocketed both wands and turned to Nathan with a satisfied smirk. 'Let's go. I can't wait to see her face next time I meet her!' she giggled cruelly. Although she had not yet passed her test, Marishka concentrated hard, stepping out into the street and apparating away....

Nathan could not help but laugh as he watched Marishka pick up the girls wand and pocket it, and then with the rat running around between peoples feet. Wiping the tears from his eyes Nathan took a deep breath looked at Marishka. She had soon vanished and with a smug smile Nathan walked over towards Boggleworth and pointed his wand at him, then putting on a stereotypical posh British voice Nathan smiled at the Hufflepuff.
“So sorry about this dear chap. Petrificus Totalus”
Not even looking to see if the spell had hit or not Nathan was already making his way back towards the castle. He pushed past the crowds of people and brushed off his robes, paying particular attention to his Slytherin badge.

Ariane danced around, anger bubbeling deep inside of her He;s there when I don't need him and he's not there when I do. WHat kind of brother is he? Ariane thought to herself. She watched helplessly as the Slythering girl took her wand and the other Slythgering shot a spell at Henry. She shreiked in rage although it most likely sounded like a squeek. Ariane stared at the spot where the girl had disappeared and memorized her face, so that the next time she saw her. Ariane could hex her into oblivion. She turened to look at Henry with deploring eyes.
