Drake sat there on his couch he had claimed his own for the past few hours. Ever since dinner ended, he's had nothing to do. His Gryffindor friends were busy, and his Slytherin friend, Maeve, had Astronomy. Good Merlin, tonight couldn't get any more boring.
He moved so he could lay down and sighed. What would he do now? Sitting and sighing is getting boring.

Jac strolled into the common room, a book tucked under her arm and a bowl of jelly in her hand, the spoon occasionally moving to her mouth. She had once again visited the kitchen as she had still been hungry and she had come across the most delightful third year. Swallowing her mouthful of jelly, Jac looked around the common room and saw that not many people were around. Shrugging her shoulders, Jac made her way to the fire place and suddenly saw Drake.
Resting her spoon in the bowl, Jac clapped her on his shoulder and squeezed. "Hiya champ," she said, smiling down at him, "what ya up to?" She dropped into the seat across from her fellow seventh year. She shovelled another spoonful into her mouth and smiled at Drake. She couldn't remember the last time she had seen him. She had been super busy with preparing for their finals and been spending lots of time in the library and greenhouse (trying to get to know the plants they needed to know about).

Drake looked up when he heard his name a familiar voice. He smiled at Jac. "Bored as hell, but I'll live, I hope. What about you, Flame?" he grinned at his new nickname for her. His hair reminded him of flames. He was always coming up with new names for her, one new one for each year. Although he couldn't remember a lot of them...

Tori strolled into the common room. She had on yet another bizarre outfit. This time it was a white strapless dress with a bunch of yellow smiley faces all over it. Yellow wedges complimented the knee length dress and gave her some height. Her mother had bought it from a Muggle store and sent it to her. It was another odd piece to add to her collection and Tori was quite proud to be wearing it. She often rebelled against wearing robes, paying for it most times.
The girl stopped and tied half of her hair up into a small bun. Voices drifted toward her and Tori turned toward the source. Two people were talking. TuTu recognized one of them and that was Jac. She had often complimented Jac on her hair color choice. Tori walked toward them and plopped down into a big armchair near them. "Hey Jac. Anything new?" She ignored the fact that she was barging in on their conversation.

Kasey skipped into the common room, books balancing on her head. Today was a very good day. Kase had her favorite outfit on, she passed all of her exams, and her paper was deemed excellent. Currently, Kasey was wearing her striped socks, which were striped black and purple. Also, she had on her strapless shirt, also purple in color, same as the tights. And, to top it off, she had a black skirt on, that came just above her knees, that has a white satin trim around the waist. Oh, and one couldn't forget her white boots.
Kase noticed Tori and Jac, and some other kid that she didn't know. She plopped down on Tori's lap and grinned. "Heya TuTu, hey Jac, and Heeyyy kid I don't know." Kasey grinned and held up two fingers, her way of saying hello.

Jac smiled and nodded lazily at Drake. She understood boredom and sat herself on the couch next to Drake and put another mouthful of jelly in her mouth. "Love the new nickname, by the way," she said slowly, leaning her head to the side, her hair flapping in front of her face. She blew it away and it landed exactly where it was. She giggled and, putting her spoon back in her bowl, tucked it behind her ear. "Flame," she mumbled to herself, taking another wobbly mouthful.
A sixth year that Jac had seen around and entertained with her changing hair colour came to them. "Hiya," she said smiling broadly at the girl. "Nothing much," Jac said in answer to her question with a shrug. She thought for a moment, then added, "but that thing on my leg is acing again." She put her hand on her upper thigh and squeezed it lightly. Since her attack in November, Jac's leg had never properly healed though she hadn't told many the exact details.
Another sixth year came that Jac knew less well but she didn't get a smile that was any less big. "Hiya," she said, and relaxed her grip on her leg. A tight squeeze every now and then seemed to relieve the sting. She took another bit of her jelly before tilting her bowl toward Drake and the others. "Want some?" she offered, her hair turning a Gryffindor red all over.
