L.C walked across the boundary into the forest, crossing a stream, she came into the clearing where she had first met the Unicorn. "Where are you?" she asked looking at the flower covered field. Sitting down, she waited. Feeling a strange feeling a feeling of hurt.

'Well, I'm up in a tree, seeing a very pretty girl wanting to spend time with an unusually pretty unicorn.' Jerred said, landing lightly on his feet from a tree. 'Sorry to scare you if I did, but I had to follow you, something about letting a pretty girl wander in here alone doesn't make me feel right, especially when the said girl is damn pretty.' Jerred had a cheeky smile on his face, and he felt severely light headed and off a little from centre from eating too many of the red berries that tasted oddly like Scotch Whiskey. He also felt a little woozy from climbing the tree, something that never happened before.
'Does my breath smell of muggle alcohol? That could be keeping your unicorn away!' Jerred continued, swaying a little from side to side. With a hiccup, Jerred stopped moving, looked ahead before falling on his back into the soft grass. He was looking up into the nostrils of a Unicorn. 'Is... *hiccup*... the one?'

"Jerred, what have you done?" she asked before turning to the unicorn. "I'm suprised she'll come near me with you here, they usually only trust girls." she finished while stroking the unicorn and looking back at him.

Jerred remained motionless, his head swimming with weird images and sights. He smiled goofily, before hearing words said to him far off.
'Unicorns usually protect girls from miscreants.' Jerred said for no reason at all as the facts resurfaced in his mind. 'I might be a miscreant.'

"Surprisingly, I don't think you threaten me that much." L.C said walking up to him. She stuck her tongue out at him in a ha ha I'm stronger than you sort of way. But she was just joking.

'Maybe you don't, but that thing does.' Jerred replied stubbornly, trying to clear his head as he sat up. He had pointed at the Unicorn as it stepped forward between the girl and himself. 'See, told you it does.'

At that moment there was a loud crashing from above. Several large branches fell heavily to the earth, scarcely missing the two Slytherins. 'Look out bellow!' A voice shouted, quickly followed by a tall shape plummeting from the thick canopy.
Thom landed on his feet, stumbling backward slightly to regain his balance. The unicorn reared up defensively, thrashing its front hooves about in a panic. With a loud cry it turned and fled, its glowing white tail disappearing swiftly into the gloomy surroundings.
'Stupid creatures.' Thom muttered, glaring after it heavily. The Hufflepuff never had understood the fascination some people had with unicorns. He personally thought there were far more exciting creatures in the world. 'I suppose they really do dislike males,' he said non-apologetically.

Girty let off a loud giggle as she sat up in the tree. Thom looked so silly as he watched the Unicorn reared up beside him. With a deep breath Girty tried to jump out of the tree just like Thom did but failed.
She landed on the ground below rather ungracefully and lay in a heap while trying to regain her cool. As she stood up she brushed the dirt off her robes and looked at Thom.
"How can anyone not like you." she giggled before turning around to notice two other people were present.

"Ha ha, it might be hilarious to make fun of creatures to you but, she's hurt and I've got to find her." L.C said and then directed the three to a spot of grass that had a silvery substance on it. "Unicorn blood " she whispered before walking toward where the unicorn had left following the small drips of silver.

'Umm... What're you two doing here?' Jerred asked, dumbfounded by the appearance of the two Hufflepuffs. He then looked over at LC, walking away from them. 'Umm... wait?' Jerred's mind was full of confusion, he still felt the effects of the berries he ate, the shiftiness in his stomach making him want to purge himself of the feeling. Jerred burped, the smell coming from his mouth sickening him wrose.

Girty continued to giggle as LC walked away and Jerred asked why they were here.
"Maybe we should ask what are you two doing here."
With a cheeky smile Girty looked in the distance to see where LC had vanished to but with a shrug of the shoulders she looked back at Jerred only to get a whiff of his breath.
Girty wrinkled up her nose and waved her hand around in the air to try and gain some fresh air. "You need a breath mint."

Thom looked at Girty and smiled. 'That's what I've been saying! I'm just amazing, aren't I?'
He then frowned at Jerred for a moment before watching LC fight her way through the bushes, following the sparse trail of unicorn blood. 'I didn't even bloody touch it,' he replied defensively, revealing his flask of firewhiskey from his robes and unscrewing the cap. 'It probably just caught a branch or something when it ran off. Stupid creatures, if you ask me. Too flamin' fragile. I'm surprised they're not extinct.' he said critically, swigging a large mouthful of the warm liquid.

'And you say I need a breath mint.' Jerred muttered, folding his arms over his chest and looking away huffly.
'Unicorns are just that,' Jerred said, 'girls find them so... pretty?' Jerred looked at Girty questionably, wondering if she thought so as well.

Girty laughed at Jerred when she complained.
"Well if you do not believe me then smell your own breath. Link you arm and then smell it. That is how you find out if your breath smells." Girty looked at her with a cheeky grin and then noticed everyone was looking into the forest.
"Unicorns are over rated. People remember the little stuffed toys they had when they were little.....I had a kangaroo." Girty's eyes glazed over thinking about her collection of cuddle toys sitting on her bed back at home.

'So we finally have a girl who doesn't like Unicorns? How sweet!' Jerred said, rolling his eyes in disbelief. 'Anyways, I'm not going to let LC be on her own in here, besides, what's the point in hanging out with two Hufflepuffs when I know they hate me?' Jerred said cheekily, before running after LC.
