There was nothing to stop her from running deeper into the forest. Except of course fear. She had only wanted to explore the forest, she hadn't meant to go further than where the trees were thinning. But she had, unconsciously. Now she was lost and there was no way back. At last not that she could remember. It was all pitch black except for the lightened tip of her wand. She slid it into her hand and walked this way and that but it only seemed to be making her go further into the forest. Maybe it was best to stop. Then perhaps someone would come looking for her. If it was a teacher then she would get a detention but maybe someone else could help her find her way out..
"Elp!"
She cried into the night, she didn't want to attract the attention of any creatures in the forest but she wanted to be found. The only question was. Which would come first? The creature or the human? She hoped it was the human. Jackie ran, straight in fact into a large tree. She fell to the ground and sat by the tree hugging her knees tightly to her. Hopefully maybe someone would find her...

Zachary blinked as a voice echoed through the forest, and tightened his cloak around himself. He was just on the edge, where the gameskeeper's hut was still in view, and hardly in inescapable danger. It was late in the evening, possibly past midnight, and he pointed his wand at the thicker trees, casting lumos.
At once, light spurred from the end of his wand and cleared his vision. He had, after all, been practicing for the tournament and saving a distressed student from the forbidden forest would be the best practice of all. Nodding resolutely to himself, he took a step forward, a sudden gust of wind hitting his face and causing the hood of his cloak to flutter off his head.
Muttering to himself, he clasped it around his neck once more and pushed aside a branch shakily. "Hello? If you're in here, you're a bloody idiot you know. Screaming for help like that... you'll alert the Ministry--"
A twisted root protruding from the earth caused him to stumble forward, falling flat on his face. Grumbling, he pulled himself up and rubbed the dirt off his cheek. "And now because of you I'm all filthy." He continued to mumble bitter comments toward whom he was rescuing, as he trudged through the muddy ground.
Finally, he set eyes on a girl huddled up near a tree trunk and gave her an indignant look. "You're a Slytherin. Well good, I'd never forgive myself had I set out to save a Hufflepuff, though you might be just as big of a fool as they are--"
Zachary yelped as a low hiss cut him off, a large snake curling off the branch of the tree the girl was sitting against and dangling in front of his nose. Stepping back immediately, he pointed his wand at the offending creature only to grimace in disgust as a long, forked tongue slithered against it, leaving an acidic gooey substance that began to dissolve the wood at once.
Zachary watched with wide eyes as his wand slowly began to disintegrate, before yelling out loudly and wiping his wand on the leaves adorning the ground. "Get it off. And I'm not even with Moen this time..." He cried to himself, completely forgetting the girl was there.

Jackie heard a males voice. She didn't quit know who it was but she didn't care as long whoever it was, is there to help her. She could here him get closer so she just sat there for he could reach her. As he stood there looking at her if like she forced him to come out to her she said," Well I'm happy your a Slytherin also because if you weren't I'll still be here."
As Jackie was about to stand up she notice there was a snake dangling in front of her face. She couldn't move. As she sat there looking at the snake wit horror. Then out of know where the snake was on the boy. Jackie stood up and took out her wand. She said the first spell that came to mind, "Impedimenta!" pointing her wand at the snake. At once the snake stopped to moving. She ran toward the boy and pulled the snake off of him and then threw it into the trees. She looked at the boy. "Are you ok?" she asked standing by his side.

Zachary blushed furiously, pulling himself away from the doting girl and sitting grumpily on the strewn leaves. Scowling, he held up his half-eaten wand in front of his face, the lumos spell weakened considerably.
"You're lucky I was here to save you," he said arrogantly, ignoring the last few minutes of their encounter completely. Waving his wand a little bit, he shook off a few dead leaves and let out a long sigh.
"We're okay, but my wand isn't." He said flatly, his gaze trailing to the unmoving snake. Letting out a sound of disgust, he crawled over to it and poked it with what was left of his wand. "Ashwinders are much more flattering." He said with a slight shudder, before standing up and brushing off his robes. "Right then, I suppose we should be getting out of here..."
Flickering his wand around, he arched a brow. "Er... It's this way I think." He said, choosing a random spot and tugging on Simmon's robes, blindly leading the way.

Jackie narrowed her eyes. " You could say thanks for saving my life you know. And plus I saved you from that snake." She said. She looked toward the snake she froze. She was quite proud of herself but didn't want to show it so she just stood there watching the boy that came along. Then looked around to see where they were.
Then all of a sudden she feels this tug. Then she realizes its him pulling her by her robes. Jackie just stops and pulls her robes out of his hand. " Excuse me I can walk for myself thank you. And first of all what is your name?"

"Can you walk, really?" Zachary said, still flushing from the blow to his pride. However, he dropped his hand back to his side. "Is that why you were hugging that tree over there when I first saw you? Displaying those remarkable, brave skills of yours?"
Rolling his eyes, he walked a bit further away before answering her question. "I'm Zachary Daniels, most famous Slytherin, really--"
A keening cry cut him off, and he frowned before turning toward the sound. There were no suspicious creatures loitering about, and, curious, he walked a bit closer.
"It... It's as though it's coming from inside here--" Zachary pressed his ear against a large willow tree, the branches swaying dangerously close to his head as rumbles continued to echo through the bark.
