Why is it forbidden?

Natalie knew that she wasn't supposed to be in the Forbidden Forest. Hence the name, Forbidden. But still, she couldn't help but be curious. Natalie walked a little further into the dense wood and heard someone or something coming her way. She decided to climb a tree until she recognized the person. Then, she would jump down and surprise them. That is, unless they were following her.

[Neku]

Neku kept to the shadows mainly, keeping a weather eye out for anything that wasnt supposed to be in here, or for anything that could be classed as potentially dangerous. She had keen senses and knew something was wandering, a human by what she rekoned. Neku had known humans to be quite a curious species, but also potentially harmful, to not only other people, but to themselves, and this inevitably worried her.

She walked through the forest, seeing it now fully as her home since she was now nowhere near her own homeland, mainly because it did not exsist anymore. This upset her as she thought of those she had lost, but now she was wiser and more in control of what she did. Neku stayed in the shadows, keeping a little distance between her and the human. However she knew not of the gender of the human she was tracking, and she meant it no harm. Though as long as the human was in the forest, Neku would be not far behind it, watching it, and if need be, protecting it.

Natalie swung her body upside down from a tree. She looked to see what had been following her. Then, the fifth year saw it. A centaur. "Woah, cool" She said, smiling down at the creature. She pulled herself right side up and climbed down a few branches. "Hi, I'm Natalie" she said, not knowing if the centaur was curious, or trying to protect it's home. Well, her home."What's your name?"

[Neku]

Neku looked at the Human in front of her. She was sure they were bigger. Though maybe this one was just small, like Neku herself. Neku was one of the smallest Centaurs due to a growth thing she had when she was little. But for what she lacked in height, she made up in strength and speed. These humans, they do have a strange way of speaking she noted to herself.

Neku had never actually been in conversation with a human before and it was a strange feeling for one to be speaking to her. "What a strange name" She said, she had never heard of Natalie before. Though to her, Humans and there names were strange. "I go by the name of Neku, What brings you to the forest small one?" She asked the human girl. It was a dangerous place but if she was going to be here, she'd be safer with Neku.

Natalie got a better look at the Centaur. She'd always believedthey were a bit bigger. Maybe Neku was just smaller than most. Hmm, Neku is an interesting name Natalie thought to herself. "I was curious as to see what was in here" the human answered, before jumping down and landing on her feet in froont of Neku. She was careful not to startle the female centaur.

[Neku]

Neku watched as the girl jumped from the tree. Neku was curious now around humans because of the devastation they caused between her herd. It was certainly a day that was imprinted on Nekus memory, though it wasnt one she valued remembering.

"Curiosity can be a dangerous quality to have Miss, do you know not of the dangers this place can hold?" She queried. If the girl knew, then she was either a fool or held a deathwish within her grasp. Though the girls reasons for being were none of Nekus business.

[natalie]

"I'm not scared enough to stay away. Danger is something I know how to deal with" Natalie explained, walking a little closer to Neku. It was quite interesting to be standing only a few feet from such a wonderful creature. Natalie had away with animals and creatures. It was her soft spot. She noticed that Neku was probably just as curious about Natalie as she was about Neku. "So this is your home?" she asked, looking around the Forest. It had a strange feeling about it but was also beautiful. A complete oxymoron.

[Nathan Holloway]

Nathan was walking around the grounds in search of someone to get into trouble or pick on. Which ever one he found he would be happy with. It was then when he saw a Gryffindor slowly enter the forest, he did not want to run straight after her, where would the fun be in that ‘intent to enter the forest’. No, Nathan wanted something greater on the report.
After a sort space of time had passed since he had first seen the girl walk between the dark trees Nathan began to follow. He made sure that his prefect badge was attached onto his robes and shinning in the sun. then with one last breath of the free air he walked into the forest listening out for where the girl could have headed off to.

After a few silent minutes of walking and seeing or hearing nothing Nathan was about to turn back when he finally heard voices. Even if it was not the girl he could still get these people in trouble. As he peered around a close tree Nathan stumbled backwards and fumbled around in his robe for his wand. It took a while for Nathan to get his composure before stepping out, wand at arms length.

“Such a typical Gryffindor. No friends, breaking the rules and thinking that they have the authority to talk to the animals of the forest. Such a same that smile will soon be wiped form your face when I report you into the headmaster.”

Nathan’s proud voice wavered slightly as his eyes moved onto the Centaur. He wished now he had paid more attention in Care of Magical Creatures.

[Neku]

"So it may be, but alas, you are here, and i fear that there is wuite a bit more in this place that you could handle, especially on your own" Neku spoke softly, her hair flowing over her shoulders as she noticed Natalie move more towards her. "So for as long as you remain in this forest, i shant be far behind you as i would rather not a human death on my mind"

Neku walked a little way ahead of the girl and looked around the forest. "Yes" She spoke, "It seems to have become my home of late" She dropped her head down, it was strange how the human spoke to her. Like Neku was a friend almost. However she was dragged away from her thoughts when she heard a male voice. Standing next to Natalie, Neku recognised his attitude. She had seen many like him. "The girl may speak to whomever she so desires" Neku snapped, not really liking the attitude of this dormant male. She narrowed her eyes and moved her hand to her bows, the wand was pointing in their direction and this didnt make Neku feel good. "Though if you report her to the headmaster, you shall be automatically signing yourself up for trouble as im sure even you shouldnt be here at this time of night" She noticed his voice waver and Neku smirked.

She was usually a gentle soul, but if someone angered her, then she wasnt so nice.

Natalie smiled as Neku stood up for her. "Don't you think as a prefect you should be a bit more mature?" she watched the guy. He acted like being in Gryffindor was a bad thing. At least people in Gryffindor weren't complete prats. Well, most. Houses didn't really mean anything to her. "You seem a little scared of Neku, why don't you run along then" If the guy was going to be a prat to her, she'd do the same to him.

[Nathan Holloway]

Nathan did not know who to look at, he was being questioned by both of these females. With a small step backwards and tightening his grip on his wand once more Nathan tried to find the courage to answer back to the creature, he knew shouting at the Gryffindor would be no problem but the centaur was something else.

“Scared of that thing….I am no Hufflepuff. And if it is being mature you are after then you do not set the standard do you? Coming into the forest alone, at this time of day. You are lucky I am here to take you back to the castle. And if I get that arrogant attitude off you again I shall take points from Gryffindor. I think 50 would be just enough.”

He shot the girl a smug smile and lowered his wand slightly. There was something about using his authority against people that mad Nathan love life, and even forget about the potential danger from the wild creature beside him. Looking down at his prefect badge he gave it a quick wipe over to make sure the shine was still on it before raising his proud head once more.

[Professor Lauretta Mericcini]

The COMC apprentice, a.k.a. Lauretta was walking through the forest when she heard bickering. It was a Slytherin and a Gryffindor. Do some people never give up? All those houses ever do is fight. Being a former Slytherin, she hated her house being shamed. Which is what she thought Nathan was doing. Yes, she recognized him.

The, L.C saw the centaur. 'Neku' was her name, well that's what Lauretta figured after listening to the young arguers. "What are you doing in here?" she asked Nathan.

[Neku]

"It amazes me how you male creatures seem to think you can wander, univited into someone elses home, cause a mass of mayhem and expect to be treated with decency and honour" Neku was growing more and more impatient, not to mention a little angry. She neither liked the way he looked, nor spoke to the younger girl. Though it wasnt a problem the way he tried to speak to her, she was a trained fighter, and the little stick in his hand would not do much damage if he could not catch her.

"Especially when you clearly have not but a single bone of decency in you, or even an ounce of honour" Neku stepped forward, raising her height up, she already loomed over the boy and was prepared, should he make the first move, to bring him to his knees. "How can one not be afraid, when one backs away so much" She questioned, staying clearly in front of Natalie, but pressing herself onto the boy. "You are nothing more than a little weasel, and it may not be today, nor ten years from now... Though eventually your attitude will be your downfall" The boy was familiar in some form, but Neku didnt know why.

She turned around to the sound of another voice, this girl was clearly older than the other two and Neku stepped back to Natalie and stayed by her side, as she had promised.
