[G.Hall] I'll Be Circling in Circles All Night

[Maeve Malfoy]

Maeve sighed. It was too early to be getting up, but of course, she couldn't sleep. She had decided to venture down to the Great Hall out of her boredom. She had to sneak her way down here, obviously with it being past midnight. But, she did it without getting caught, like always.

She sighed again. It wasn't as difficult like everyone said it was. All you have to know is where the secret hideways are.

And she did. Which took the fun out of everything.... Most things, anyway. Oh well.

Maeve pondered on what to do as she lay on the Slytherin table, staring at the starry ceiling. She started singing a Muggle movie song while she was thinking. It was from something called The Little Mermaid two. Her favorite song from it, For a Moment.

"Okay, get a grip
Get the hang of this flipper
It's like slipping two feet into one big huge slipper
This way is left
But which way is right?
Oh now I'll be circling in circles all night"

She made sure that no one who didn't have great ears could hear her by singing very softly.

She didn't want to get caught.

Maeve kept singing softly, thinking of ways to entertain herself until breakfast, not coming up with much.

[Professor Ashton Laurent]

Ashton strolled cheerfully into the Great Hall for an early breakfast, being a morning person, Ashton sang softly to himself. Looking up, he spotted Maeve one of his few Slytherin friends. Well....actually Maeve was his only Slytherin friend. Smiling Ashton made his way over to her. "Hey Maeve!" he greeted her with a hug. Pulling back Ashton blushed, he really needed to ask people whether or not they wanted to be hugged, but Ashton was generally very affectionate towards his friends, and always greeted them with hugs.

Maeve tilted her head up when she heard the Great Hall doors open. She grinned an uncharateristical Slytherin grin when she saw who it was. "Hey yourself, Ashy." she replied, returning the hug. He was one of the few who could get away with hugging her and getting hugged back.

Catching his blush, she smirked. "Ashton, you're not supposed to blush while hugging me. You save that for your boyfriend." She couldn't help but tease him a bit when he blushed. She thought it was pretty....hm...cute, for lack of better (and more mature) words.

Ashton giggled, "Sorry, I wasn't sure if you wanted to be hugged. Besides, you should know that I blush easily!" He grinned, "So, what have you been up to?"

[Maeve Malfoy]

Maeve smiled. "I love getting hugs from you. You can hug me whenever you want. Just make sure the other Slytherins don't catch you. I wouldn't want your boyfriend on my butt because I couldn't protect you from a hundred Slytherins hexing you." she joked. "I am up to absolutely nothing. Completely bored out of my wits. It's absurd the way that there's nothing to do in a castle this big." she laughed.

Ash laughed, "That's true, Maxi isn't the overprotective type, but still, a hundred Slytherins all hexing me at once? I don't think he'd be too happy about that!" He frowned slightly as he mulled over her answer, "Yeah, that is a bit odd isn't it? A huge castle and nothing to do? Either that or we need to get ourselves a life!" he quippped laughing.

Maeve playfully shook her head. "No, I don't think he would like that at all." she saw him start to frown as he replied to her, ending with a laugh of his own. She smirked. "Yup. Lives are something we need. We should try to do something we haven't done yet in the castle, one of these days. Or we'll both die early deaths out of boredom."

[Professor Ashton Laurent]

Ash laughed, "Yeah, early deaths of boredom. That's great!" he sighed, "Sooo, wanna go raid the kitchens? Or...go make trouble in the corridors?"

[Maeve Malfoy]

Maeve pretended to think. "Hm.... Eat or cause mayhem throughout the corridors? Such a tough decision, Ashy, why make me choose?" she whined playfully.

[Professor Ashton Laurent]

Ashton laughed. "How bout we do both?" he asked, "But we have to make sure Maxi doesn't catch us in the corridors, I heard he's a prefect now."

[Maeve Malfoy]

Maeve smirked. "That, my good sir, sounds like an excellent idea." she laughed at hearing Maxi was a prefect. "Seriously? He wouldn't actually put his boyfriend in a detention, would he?"

[Professor Ashton Laurent]

Ash beamed, "Alright!" then he turned serious, "Unfortunately he would have to. Just because I'm his boyfriend, doesn't mean I deserve special treatment, I'm a student, same as anyone else here. And if I break the rules and happen to get caught, then I deserve whatever punishment is handed out to me. As long as it's reasonable. Wouldn't you agree?"

[Maeve Malfoy]

Maeve stuck out her tongue. "Goodie-two shoes Ravenclaw. When you get caught you're not suppose to fess up. You have to think of a believable story and pin it on someone else." she grinned widely. "Just last week I was caught dungbombing the Gryffindor Head of House's classroom. All I said was that the older Gryffie boys were threatening me and it worked out fine." she thought about it for a while. "Than again, the teacher who caught me was a little biased towards Slytherin."

Ashton snorted. "Goody two shoes? Me? Please! You're talking to the guy who would sneak out of his house in the summertime, just to go bar-hopping! And got into at least a fight a day! There's nothing goody two shoes about me, trust me!" he paused, "I'm just not very good with coming up with excuses. I tend to overuse some common one. So, I'll leave the excuses up to you. I'll just stand there and look cute and innocent. That shouldn't be too hard for me!"

Maeve laughed at his explanation. "Barhopping, you? I don't believe it." she grinned, but truly believing him. "I think someone's making his ego inflate with his own compliments." she poked him in the forehead. "But, if I make the excuses, you lead the way."
