Quinn understood and merely nodded. She knew she could not stop him so as he turned from her she whispered, "I'll be here when you get back." He edged towards the wolf and started to draw it's attention towards him, draw it into the forest.
She backed slowly, quietly towards the other two students who were still there. She moved quietly and kept her eyes on the beast at all times. She raised her arms slightly so that if one of the girls tried to run to the beast's aid she could stop them, no problem. Now there was nothing left to do but watch and wait.

Grace stared in horror as her best friend transformed into the crazed monster. Grace looked on, helpless to do anything but watch. Her head of house lured Girty wolf into the forest and Grace could not help but feel she should have done more. I can still help, she thought, if Dan can, I can. She took a step forward but went straight into the ministry officials arm.
"Please!" she pleaded, "I have to go after her, I have to help." Tears had begun to stream from her eyes. "Girty is still in there, maybe I can help, I have to help her." Grace closed her eyes tight and pushed against the witch's arm. "Let me go!" she cried, "let ... me ..." she trailed off and sank to the ground in a sobbing heap.

At first Jac had not understood what was happening. She looked at what Prof Hubbles was looking at and saw the full moon. Vague recollections of bad things happening at full moon, Jac didn't need to ask to now have a vague understanding. But the ministry lady didn't seem to understand it, not until it was too late.
Jac watched Prof Dan disappear into the trees of the forest and then turned to see the startled look on Grace's face. She was distraught. Jac was never good at this kind of thing but when Grace fell Jac could do nothing but follow her instincts. Jac caught Grace and sat down with her, more falling herself under Grace's weight. Jac held Grace as she cried and softly, gently, as her mother had done when Grace's father had died, said, "shhh! It'll be alright! You'll see! Girty is a champion, you mustn’t worry, she will kick my butt in the tournament and she will survive one night in the forest."

Quinn continued to stare at the place where the professor and the wolf had disappeared. Suddenly the was a person pushing on her arm. It was the small blond girl again. Quinn held her back and stared at her with deep frown lines engraved in her forehead. "There is nothing you can do for her now that would do any good. You'd either give her a good mean or ... and, actually and," she laughed cruelly, "a play thing to toss around like a rag doll."
The girl collapsed and the other caught her, held her. The sight was painful for Quinn to look at, she turned away. She listened to what the other girl had to say. "Wise words..." she said, then quickly added to cover her weakness, "for a child." She walked to the waters edge and looked over it. It was a beautiful night, she thought, the wind is calm, not too cloudy. This last she thought while looking up at the dark sky.

A cloud seemed to be blocking out everything in the wolfs mind, suddenly it began to lift and the sharp eyes of the wolf spotted something moving frantically out its corner. Turing its head Girty wolf saw a man standing there, with a sharp intake of the cold nights air she could tell he was fresh meat. Salvia rushed to the wolfs mouth, it had been a long time since Girty Wolf had eaten a good meal, being locked in a room recently only left spiders and rats. Letting out a loud howl, drool spilled from the edges of its jaws as the wolf slowly approached its prey.
Soon the scenery around them began to change as a dense forest encircled them both. Girty wolf kept her eyes fixed on the man in front of her, he had began to stumble as he continued to walk backwards. He was slowly getting closer and closer and the smell of his flesh was getting irresistible. The only thing that would stop Girty wolf now was if a better option appeared. Snapping its jaws at the human, terror filled his face and he broke out into a run. Knowing far to well that she would catch him Girty wolf dropt onto all four paws and began to charge the man down.
However something happened then he did not expect, the sound of sobbing began to float into the forest. The wolf stood vertically sniffing the air, there was more fresh meat somewhere in the grounds. Making a mental note to go and find them once this man was no more Girty wolf continued to case him down.

The wolf was following him, it was working however Dan suddenly realised that he was now alone and Girty wolf was closing in. He lost his nerve, with a small whimper of panic Dan turned his back on the wolf and started to run. He jumped over fallen logs, and bent under low hanging branches. Behind him he could hear the wolf break through everything in its path, and the sound of its breathing getting closer and closer.
But suddenly it stopped. Dan skidded to a halt and hung onto a near by tree to keep himself standing. His legs were burning and searing with pain, his mouth was bone dry and his chest heaved up and down as he tried to get oxygen back into his lungs. The pounding of blood in his ears stunned for a moment and failed to notice the creature starting to move towards him again. Panicking for his own life Dan decided to do something that may go wrong, but if worked would give him enough time to be safe. He ran straight at the creature.
The wolf raised its hug paw, claws glistening in the moon light. As it drew it back to struck Dan ducked and let the paw fly over him. Before Girty wolf knew what had happened he was running off into the forest. Jubilation filled him and Dan allowed a small smile to grace his face. Allow it soon vanished as he found himself once more at the edge of the forest looking up towards the castle, and the small shadow on the horizon of three people and a duck. He has led the creature straight back to them.
“Quinn run!”
Before he knew what he was going Dan had shouted as loud as his oxygen starved lungs would allow him. He knew the wolf would hear and smell them and he needed to do something.

Grace was not shaking as much but Jac was concentrating on nothing else but consoling her friend. This task was ripped spectacularly into pieces by the sound of Prof Hubbles' voice calling to them, telling them to run. She didn't needing more prompting.
Jac tried to get Grace to her feet by wrapping an arm under Grace's and pulling Grace's over her shoulders. Grace was heavy, though by a heavy heart of not, Jac didn't know. "Come on Grace!" Jac said through gritted teeth, "we need to get out of here!"

Quinn stood on the edge of the lake, alone, Kaylin Quinn Locksley always alone. It is how it has always been and she did not doubt that that was the way it would always be. She did not mind much, it suited her lifestyle. Such thoughts and more whizzed through her mind when someone shouted through her quiet.
She turned to see who it was when she saw Dan running towards them. He yelled for them to run. The two girls were already up but the blond girl seemed unable, unwilling. Quinn quickly lifted the girls other side and helped the other girl to lead her towards the castle steps. Just my luck, she thought, the first opportunity I get to have a little fun in days and I'm running away from it.

Dan stood on the edge of the forest, his chest heaved up and down with every breath he took. He stood and watched Quinn help the two girls walk away. The wind rippled around his ankles and the trees rustled around him, all Dan could think of was how he desired to be there with them, but instead he was in the forest with a werewolf behind him. ‘The werewolf’ Dan cursed out loud and spun around the find himself face to face with the beast. Its breath made his hair fly backwards and the smell made his eyes water. Dan slowly began to step backwards, fumbling for his wand, he knew this was not Girty; he had to remind himself over and over. His mind was in a spin, if he was going to save himself he would have to attack his sister.
“Girty I am so sorry, please forgive me.”
Dan raised his wand, it shacked violently as he pointed it at the creature. Salty tears rolled down his cheek as he fought against his own better judgement. Mouthing sorry one last time to his sister Dan cast his spell.
“Crucio!”
A beam of light shot out the end of Dan’s wand and shined in the creatures eyes. Soon it was contort with pain and then it tried to fight against the spell. Dan took a step backwards trying to avoid the beast’s claws that were flying around. The spell was not powerful enough, unforgivable curses needed the power of hate behind them, he could not do that to his sister.
As the werewolf continued to fight against the spell its paw hit Dan square in the side, caught of guard he was soon swept off his feet. His wand went in one direction and Dan flew in the other. Dan soon came to a stop as he went crashing into the closest tree. Pain ran through his whole body and he let out a scream of pain. He could feel the warmth of blood at his side where the claws had stuck him and his other side was throbbing form the impact with the tree. With no wand in sight Dan knew that his time was running out with every step the wolf took towards him.

Grace had calmed down slightly when she too heard the voice of the professor cry out. She was stunned and disorientated. Jac was suddenly heaving her up and then the ministry lady was ushering both her and Jac towards the castle. "What ..." she mumbled, "huh ... what's happening?"
Grace suddenly heard a wolf howl. It wasn’t a normal, natural howl but it was contorted and pained her to her core. She gain a little more self control and stopped, digging her heals into the ground. "What is he doing to her?" Grace yelled, turning back towards the forest. Somehow she knew that it was Girt wolf crying like that, she didn't need to see it to know.

Jac was surprised when the tall ministry officer helped her carry Grace. Jac glanced at her side ways through dark brown eyes. She wondered about her motives for helping but hardly had time to think about it when Grace through a surprise at her as well. She had stopped dead in her tracks. "Grace," she moaned, "what is it?"
Then she heard it, the defining cry. It chilled her to the bone. Her eyes went a very light blue, hair turned deathly white. She shuddered before grabbing Grace's arm. "We need to go," she demanded, "now!" She pulled hard on Grace's arm, pulling her forward, "Girty is a gain girl, she'll be fine."

Girty wolf approached the unconscious man, his body was limp and he was sitting pray. It was almost too easy. She slowly plodded her way closer, gently putting one paw in front of the other. Leaning over the man Girty sniffed the air around him; the smell of blood filled her nostrils. Leaning over the man jaws wide apart, ready to snap them shut around his neck when suddenly something began to edge into the back of her mind. Puling up slightly the wolf turned its head to the side in an attempt to get a better look at the man lying on the floor. After a few moments thought Girty wolf turned back to face the man and once more lowered her head ready to strike.

Quinn pushed the two girls on towards the castle and with resolute force ran into the forest, whipping branches out of the way. She could not stand running away from this threat any more, she had to do something. She ran on, breathing easy, picking up speed.
The wolf was now in view now, she slowed her pace, ducking behind a tree. The professor was on the floor, not moving, he must be unconscious. Bloody males! The wolf was encroaching on him, on the unconscious professor. Think quick, Kay, she told herself, very much like her mother would have.
She pulled out her wand and quietly moved closer, taking aim. "Incendio," she cried powerfully and taking a strong stance. A jet of fire erupted from her wand and spewed towards the werewolf. The fire hit the wolf on the side with great force. A good shot if ever I saw one, she thought smirking as the flames singed the wolf's fur, sending a foul smell into the air.

The sent of another human filled the air around Girty wolf, with a small howl of pleasure the wolf turned its head to look at its next victim only to find that this one was already putting up a better fight. Hot light came flying out of the end of the humans magic stick and as it hit the wolfs side embers began to spread across the fur. Stumbling back in paint he wolf tried to brush the fire off its fur in the process making it worse.
Girty wolf let out an ear piercing howl of pain before turning on its paw and running towards the closest source of water. The damp earth smell was getting closer and from the time spent out of the forest it knew a lake was near by. Soon between the trees the glistening waters edge could be seen and the wolf dived into the water. The coldness was a sharp contrast to the burning of the fur and the wolf began to thrash around in the water. It did not really no how to swim.
After a few moments of panic and slashing around it slowly let its animal instincts kick and rather clumsily began to make its way to the shore. That human female would pay.

Quinn watched in amused disgust as the werewolf thrashed around in pain. She smirked and huffed a groan. Then the werewolf did something unexpected; it ran towards the lake and, Quinn realised with wide-eyed horror, the girls. She had to keep them safe but couldn't leave the professor lying here with that beast lurking about.
She heard a loud splash and instantly knew that it had reached the water. It's a smart creature, Quinn thought absently before springing into action. She ran over to the unconscious professor and slapped him on the cheek a few times to try get him conscious. Sighing heavily, she pulled his arm around her shoulders and pulled him up, supporting him with her other arm around his waist to keep him close.
With him up, Quinn began to pull the professor towards where she had entered the forest. She moved quickly considering the added weight, the dead weight she carried. The edge of the forest came into view but there was no sign of the two girls. Where are they? she groaned and let out a frustrated sigh, heaving the man higher again.
They passed the edge of the forest soon enough and with a worried glance around, Quinn realised that neither of the two girls could be see and she could not hear the werewolf’s frantic splashing. Not hesitating, Quinn headed towards the castle doors. She had to get the professor out of danger so that she could take care of this monster once and for all.
