It was official. Today was the most boring day ever. Angela strolled down to the lake, book in hand. She had shut the pages, finished a little over fifteen minutes ago. Immediately she had become bored. Obviously the professors were not giving them enough homework. Ange had finished all of it, even with adding four to nine inches on all her essays, by Saturday night. Now she had even finished the novel she had been reading, and it wasn't even lunch time on Sunday.
Sighing, she strolled down to the edge of the lake. The weather had been so mild lately it had even tricked the lake into beginning to melt. Even though she had ventured outside in nothing but a blue striped sweater, Angela knew that winter wasn't over yet. The temperature would drop again and the lake would freeze over in a matter of hours.
Angela stood, over looking the vast lake. She didn't dare sit, the snowy earth would numb her bottom in a matter of minutes. Instead she let the mild wind take her long brown hair and blow it across her face. Her arms and face started to tingle with a happy feeling and she smiled.
She remembered a similar part at the end of her book in which the main heroine spread her arms toward the sky and the wind swept her up to the clouds. Angela spread her arms and closed her eyes. She hardly thought that she would float up to the clouds, but she imagined she was, flying high, fearless and free.

Amanda walked cheerfully along, whistling a merry little tune to herself. It was a perfect day. In her opinion at least! And best of all, the teachers hadn't been giving much homewowrk, so she had a lot of free time on her hands. Amanda stopped and looked up at the sky with a smile gracing her pixie-like features, as she ran her hands through her short hair (making it look even wilder) which today had been dyed rainbow colors. She approached the lake and saw with satisfaction that she was not the only one who had decided to enjoy being out in the fresh air. There was a girl, who looked a couple years older than her, who had her head tilted back and her arms spread wide. "Hi there!" Amanda called cheerfully.

Angela jumped as she heard a voice behind her. Her face went instantly red as she turned and saw a younger girl. How embarrassing! Ange had been spread eagle toward the sky, and she get interrupted. Still, Angela wasn't the type of person to get mad about being embarrassed, instead she smiled and pretended as though the girl had found her fishing or something normal.
"Oh Hi." Angela said. "It's a very nice day isn't it?" She smiled at the girl and turned back to the lake. It was a nice day, the breeze was simply elegant. Angela breathed in and out. "You can really breathe out here, its amazing. One can think out here." She said to the girl, giving a conspicuous reason for her lifting her head toward the sky.

Amanda giggled slightly. "Yeah. You can." She tilted her head to the side and smiled brightly. "I'm Amanda. Amanda Leveque- Gryffindor 2nd Year."

Angela wasn't really in the talking mood, but she thought that perhaps if she humored the girl, she would get bored and go away.
"Very nice to meet you Amanda Leveque, Gryffindor Second year." Ange smiled. "What brings you out here today?" Angela asked, "Don't you have any homework you should be getting done?" She suggested hoping to remind the younger year of an enormous essay she had to finish up, leaving Angela to her free soaring wind.
