Sarie felt someone looking at her. She looked over to see the new teacher staring at her. She gave a small wave not knowing what else tp do.

As Ginny was looking around the hall her eyes locked upon Professor Lindstrand. He had given her the coldest look and she didn't even know why. Giving it right back she rolled her eyes then looked back to her friends. Some of these teachers had bigger heads than should be allowed in a school building. Ginny didn't do well with authority didn't matter how nasty the teacher thought he was let the cranky old geezer up at the staff table take his stick out of his rear then maybe he'd wouldn't be so mad
Deciding to forget the incident since it wasn't worth ruining her appetite over she just continued to engage in conversation with those around her .

Jac smiled at Poppy. "It's great having friends, isn't it?" she asked and smiled to Sarie, to Ginny and back to Poppy. "And when they're nice, it's an added bonus." Jac laughed. She noticed then, that the other two were looking at the staff table. Jac too looked to the table and saw a fair number of teachers.
The Keeper of Keys and The Healer seemed to be sharing a cup of tea with the energetic O'Donnell. Hubbles and Owen were separate from the rest, talking excitedly. Lindstrand, on the other, didn't seem to be having as good a time as the other teachers. He was glaring in their direction and Sarie waved. Jac leaned towards the three sitting opposite her and whispered, "you know, he's always scared the pants off me." Lindstrand was a scary man at times and he constantly gave Jac the willies.

Luna sat as no one seemed to have a response to her story. It was true however weird it might sound. She had been visiting Ginny, something she did quite often. However, she had gone up the wrong stairs.
Luna sighed, looking around. No one seemed to have food. Not a very happy dinner. She heard Poppy, the small Gryffindor shout something about hurrying it up and smiled. She then reached into her bag and took out her magazine. She again folded her legs beneath her, flipped the magazine upside down, and began reading an article on Flying Flocks of Froghounds attacking Fairfield.

Alexis still rather intrigued by her new dining companion looked over at her until she heard someone from the Gryffindor table mention something about hurrying up. Her stomach growled just then and she realized that she wanted the same thing she was hungry, but to take her mind of it she again looked at Luna and saw her reading another magazine, looking at that title she said, 'Oh you read that mag I've heard of it but never had the chance is it any good?' she didn't want her to feel left out and since Alexis had called her over she knew it would be impolite not to talk to her plus she was thoroughly enjoying hearing Luna's different stories hard to believe as they were they were still more interesting than things other people were discussing.

Ginny heard Jac speak and at once stopped thinking thoughts about the perfect bat bogey hex launched directly at the professor. Turning her head she replied.
'He doesn't give me the creeps so much as he just upsets me by his mere presence and overly arrogant attitude.'
She said simply. He seemed to remind her of another teacher students loved to despise. Perishing the thought though Ginny just laughed the whole thing off.
'Anyway what really worries me more is the lack of food on this table I think I may just have to go down to the kitchens and find out what happened.'

Post by Aidan and Derryl Parkhurst on Aug 12, 2007 14:24:56 GMT
((Sorry I took so long, been having some troubles (for more details check the Leave of Absence board). But I'm back now and pretty darned disappointed that not more Slytherins have leapt at the opportunity to chuck food at people. But never the less, we are almost ready and then we can get this party started.))
Aidan and Derryl had been ignored by the Slytherin girl who had spoke to them but they didn't mind much. They moved down the table, away from her and the other Slytherins so that they could talk together. More and more people filled the Great Hall for supper and for anyone listening close enough they could here small bits of the twins' conversation.
'... you get that girl there,' Aidan said and pointed to a Gryffindor...
Derryl nodded to a Slytherin a few years above them, 'she needs it too ...' Then nothing more could be heard as a Ravenclaws laughter drowned out their words.
'... and then we do it!' Aidan and Derryl said together and sat up straight. The Headmaster had taken the floor and the Hall went quiet. Aidan poked Derryl in the back as the Headmaster spoke and the two laughed quietly.
"And let the feast begin," the Headmaster said.
Food appeared on the tables and a general sound of appreciation echoed through the Hall. Derryl reached for the mash and gravy. Aidan took a few helpings of peas and mixed them with the gravy his brother gave him. They would wait only a little longer before carrying out their plan.

Sarie heard "Let the feast began." She looked over at the Slytherin table. To see the the Parkhurst Twins getting ready. She moved over little more over to the right so she wasnt in they're clear aim. Just in case. She new what was about to start.

Angel walked into the great hall just as the words 'let the fest begin' were bandied about by the headmaster. Rolling her eyes she walked over to they Slytherin table near but not too close to the Parkhurst twins who looked deep in conversation. She eyed them suspiciously because they were known for mayhem and today looked like they were ready to cause some trouble. She didn't care less honestly she just didn't want to get involved in their childish behavior. So she kept a close watch for any signs of misdeeds. The wand in her pocket ready to go if need be.
Pulling a plate in front of her she began to take some of the less fattening food. When she was finished she had salad, with light vinaigrette dressing, and a piece of grilled chicken breast. Some water was poured into her goblet and she began to eat. Hoping to finish quickly so that she could escape this room and all the looking at the other house tables, all the filth in it.

Judging by the disgusted look on the new arrival's - Angelique, though she hadn't a clue as to what her name was - face, she was as repulsed by the other houses as a true Slytherin should be. Having already taken her seat long before the headmaster finally poofed the food onto the tables, Erys slid gracefully next to Derryl, unless someone was there already, then which she'd probably scoot them over. It didn't look like it though, because they probably figured the Parkhurst twins were going to do something radical. Which they were, by the conniving looks plastered on their faces. "Keep me out of your line of fire, and I'll contribute to the madness." She whispered, her lips hovering beside his ear. Piling some meat onto her plate, being the carnivorous Slytherin she was, Erys grinned, drawing her head back to stare at the current meal choices. Knowing there was going to be a pretty hefty food fight on their hands, probably started by the twins, she grinned, heaping on more food. She needed some serious ammo, if she was going to survive this thing.
Waving shortly at the seventh year Slytherin, because Slytherins ruled and deserved to be acknowledged, Erys glanced down to the mountain on her plate. Smiling as if nothing was odd or out of place, the animagus began picking at her food, eating something small here and there. Nothing large enough to make a difference. [/color]

As she began to eat she noticed Erys' a sixth year Slytherin move to sit next to one of the Parkhurst twins. She smiled at this simply because she could tell that she was interested in helping them if need be. One thing about Slytherins if it came to causing trouble they always seemed to stick together. Which is probably why most of the other students hated them, that and the fact that they were just simply better than them.
Looking around she noticed that Ginny Weasley holding court at the Gryffindor table, that blood traitor Angel had to look away before her anger got the better of her. To her blood traitors were just as bad as the mudbloods they had no pride. Again she rolled her eyes which is what caused her to notice someone waving at her. It was Erys and despite her change in mood Angel smiled waving back at her simply because she was one of her kind one who could understand the values that all wizards should hold dear.

The conversation had been pleasant but the wait long. Grace's stomach had groaned once or twice and she had smiled, embarrassed, around, hoping that no one had heard her. No one made a fuss of it though and no one mentioned it. Either they hadn't heard it or they were too embarrassed for her to say anything. So the talking had continued, merry and gay.
The food arrived after another one of Darrow's long speeches. Grace smiled up at him. He was a pleasant man, amiable and a good wizard, one that you could look up to and go to if you needed help. Everyone needed one of those kinds of people on their lives. Grace was happy she had him. He concluded his speech and the food appeared.
Grace, stomach still rumbling, took a healthy helping of the roast beef. It was the first smell that caught her nose. She smiled happily as she added vegetables and salad to her plate and began eating. She looked up and, between many people's heads she caught sight of the girl with the same surname as her name. It was an odd thing to find someone with your name as their surname but Grace was quick to forget that and concentrate on her meal.

No sooner had Ginny spoken of the kitchen then had the Headmaster stood up and given his speech. Jac thought he had probably done it intentionally to see how they would react be being kept waiting. Jac shrugged, smiled at Ginny and gazed up and down the table, wide eyed. It had taken it's time to get to them but it had finally arrived.
"Rather late then never, as I always say," Jac piped up, picking up three drumsticks and putting them on her plate. She happened to glance at Sarie before she took her first bite and frowned. "Sarie," she said questioningly, "what's the matter?" She bit into her drumstick, getting marinade all over her cheeks and she chewed thoughtfully, eyeing the young Gryffindor. Jac swallowed and said to Poppy and Ginny, "maybe it's shock?"

"Nothing I just getting out of line of fire. The Parkhurst twins are planning some thing and I don't want to be their first target. Sorry if I bumped you Jac. If I yell put a shield charm as fast as possible alright?" SHe said eyeing the twins from across the hall.

Jac had the most confused look on her face: her mouth was twisted into a half smile, slightly open and her brow seemed to merely be pinched together. She let out a half hearted laugh and looked to where Sarie was looking. Two blond boys were sitting next to a much older dark haired girl. Jac, being something of a trouble maker herself, didn't spot anything suspicious.
Jac laughed and stretched her arm across the table, patting Sarie on the shoulder. "Paranoia is perfectly normal for a girl your age," Jac said with mock concern. She burst into raucous laughing and threw back her main of tawny hair (it had just changed as she did so). She took another bit of her drumstick and ate, still grinning around.
