Ashton gave a weak laugh. "What strength?" he asked, "In case you haven't noticed, I have no strength right now!"

(I was asked to join this thread so here I am guys hehe! Prepare for the Hubbles!!!)
Dan Hubbles slowly made his way up the corridor, he leaned gingerly on his walking stick feeling rather embarrassed that he had to use it. His chest still hurt and too much exercise was a very bad thing as Dan quickly became sort of breath and lost his balance rather quickly. As he approached the doors to the hospital wing he groaned as he saw they were shut he had very little strength left after the long walk from the Hufflepuff common room and the thought of having to open the heavy doors seemed to sap even more energy from him. Slowly plodding along Dan reached the doors and he purposely fell into the door shoulder first using the force of his weight to push it open. The door flew open and Dan held out his walking stick to use as an anchor. However when eh looked into the room he was surprised to see a lot of commotion around on of the beds.
Striating his back up and putting a smile on his face to mask the pain Dan tried to walk into the room as normally as he could. He did not want any student to see him as a weak old fool, definitely when they were from another house. Keeping his head held high and trying to conceal the walking stick underneath his robes Dan moved closer to the masses. He looked around and registered all the students who were standing around the bed and the person lying in it. Dan frowned slightly as he noticed Otis trying to get all the information she could, it was a good job he had turned up by the looks of it, all these students could make things get a little out of hand particularly when some seemed rather anxious.
“I think you should give Mr McLane room to breath everyone. Why not take a few steps back, and stop staring at him like he is a animal in a zoo.”

Sarie turned to see Professor Hubbles. "We want to make sure he was arlight. We had to be this close tp hear him breath before he woke up. You're right, we should back up." She moved from the chair she had been sitting to the bed next to Ash's.

Ashton gave a small laugh. "Finally some air!" he cried in a mock dramatic voice, "I thought I'd never be able to be breathe!"

Maria watched as Professor Hubbles walked over to where everyone was. She noticed something strange about his walk but was distracted when he told everyone to move back. Curious as to what was wrong, she didn't take her eyes off the professor as she stepped back, even though she was already at the back of the group.
She could see that Ashton was going to be fine and considered leaving for a moment, but hesitated still curious as to why Professor Hubbles was walking so stangely, as though he were in pain. She decided that since Ashton was who needed to be worried over right now, she wouldn't say anything, but couldn't help but be curious.

Ashton noticed that Professor Hubbles seemed to be walking funny, almost like he was limping. He frowned in concern, "Professor? Are you alright?" he asked with a quizzical look in his sapphire eyes.

Dan smiled happily as he noticed that everyone seemed to be taken a few steps backwards and straight away it seemed to make a difference to Ashton. Stumbling backwards himself Dan had to lean heavily on his walking stick to make sure he did not fall over and injure himself any more. Trying to stand up straight again he winced with pain slightly and suddenly noticed that both Maria and Ashton were looking at him with questioning eyes, and then Ashton actually asked the dread question.
Gulping Dan stood as high and proud as he could not wanting to tarnish his own reputation and show that he was weak, although clearly he was. Looking down upon Ashton knowing that he could not be too harsh on the patient he simply smiled at him and offered him a chance to get out of it without getting his head ripped off. Dan had in recent weeks been trying to control his temper as it was that which had got him in the state he was in.
“I think you are forgetting that you are the one lying in the hospital bed Mr McLane. I believe it is you we should be worried about, not some silly old professor.”
The last line had been hard for Dan to say. Not that he did not like the attention but in this case he felt strangely humiliated about how he got injured and also that he had called himself silly. In his own mind he was not ‘silly’, maybe sometimes mislead and rather immature but never silly.

Ashton laughed softly. "Yeah, you're probably right." He admitted. He attempted to sit up but groaned softly as pain wracked his body once more. Luckily it wasn't blinding pain this time. He fell back onto the pillow with a sigh.

Sarie looked over at Ahston. "How you feeling. You look a bit better." She looked over at him with a smal smile on her face.

Ashton gave Sarie a weak smile. "I'm okay I guess." he replied. Liar! scolded the voice in his head, more commonly known as his conscience. Oh stuff it! he snarled back silently, keeping his outer expression neutral.

Sarie had heard his thoughts, but she decided to leave it alone. "Alright." She smiled. "You need anything?" She was worried. She didnt want him moving.

Ashton smiled. "No, not right now." Yeah, that's cause you're too busy thinking about a certain blond boy... Shut. Up. Now!!! If that voice made one more smart-alecky remark, Ashton thought he just might lose it.

Alright. Then if you need anything just ask, Okay." She moved farther back so other people could talk to Ashton. She pulled out a book and began to read. She wasn't going to leave yet.

Ashton smiled. It was amazing at how much this girl cared, especially when they had just met. But maybe, it was moments like this that brought people together. "I'll be sure to ask." he assured her as she sat down.
