Scott gave a slightly nervous laugh as he ran a hand through his hair. He cleared his throat, unable to say anything and stared out the window for a moment. "I'm not sure what the twisted version would include but as to why I want to get to know you more, the answer is fairly complicated," he turned to Diana and smiled, "I just do. I don't really know why but it feels like its something I should do. Besides, you're a sweet girl and I'd hate for this to be the only time we meet." he said truthfully.
Scott shrugged and sighed, "But, who's to say you'd actually want to get to know a "Gryffie" as you Slytherins call us."

Diana looked up at him and giggled. "You're much too sweet my dear... probably all lies just so you can say you've caught a Slytherin girl..." she said lightly looking out of the window. She had never really gone out with a Gryffie before but frankly it was because she hadn't found one to sweep her off her feet. Looking back at him she smiled, "Would you like us to meet somewhere else?" She asked him this as her crystal blue eyes skimmed over him.
Diana smirked as he said the word Gryffie. "Oh no one needs to say anything I think it's been apparent since you've walked in this room," Diana giggled lightly but smiled confidently.

Scott sighed and turned around so his back was towards the window, "I'm not that kind of guy, Diana," he said looking at all the other owls, "I don't lie just to 'get a girl' or whatever, infact I don't ever remember lying in my life," Scott looked at her then laughed, "Actually, there was this one time I took one of my dad's cookies and tried blaming it on my brother... didn't turn out too good," he said looking back at the other wall.
"And about meeting somewhere else, well that isn't really up to me now is it? I'm not the one afraid of rumors..." he said looking at her.

Diana giggled as he spoke. "So then you don't lie," she said with big eyes. "Now that's something different to me, but in a good light.." she said smiling. "I mean... the guys I've.. well who have gotten me... they were all arrogant and liars," she spoke softly but with a bit of anger. However, when he started to talk about stealing a cookie, Diana giggled. "A cookie? That's it?" she said raising an eyebrow but with a hint of playfulness.
"Rumors.." Diana looked back out the window. "They are nasty things.." Her eyes scanned over the tiny dots of people. Then looking back at him, "But they don't bother me if they are at least half true." She was smiling now and leaning lightly against the window sill. "So where would you like us to meet again, Scott," she said looking up at him with her big eyes.

Scott thought for a moment then looked at Diana, "Well seeing that it's April and its warming up, how bout the lake? It'd be nice to go swimming anyway," he said looking out the window towards the lake.
Scott laughed, "And yes, a cookie is all I have ever stolen and lied about. The fact that I don't lie is why I'm not with Delaney anymore and I must say, sometimes honesty feels like a curse."

Diana looked up at him and nodded. "The lake sounds pleasant," she said lightly. "So tell me what time?" she asked him sweetly. She was actually excited, this boy had no idea what effect he had on her, and she needed to give herself some distance. She couldn't be attached to him just yet.
"Yes, but I generally favor that curse," she said lightly. "I think that won't be a problem," she spoke lightly but truthfully. She herself was a very open and truthful person, believe it or not. However, she of course had lied in order to keep her life how it is now, comfortable.

Scott sighed and looked at Diana, "Well sadly, I have to be going for now. I need to catch up on some work. Um, how bout we meet at the lake at around one? Does that work for you?" he asked taking a few steps towards the door, waiting for a reply.

Diana giggled and nodded. "Yes I would love that," she said lightly. Watching him walk out, she decided it would be best to make her way to the grounds to visit with the girls. She was already running late and now that she felt a lot better she would be able to talk with the girls.
