As Diana walked into The Owlery a deep breath was released from her mouth. She had heard much about the Ministry and she needed to know how her family was. She had seen her brother's name in the Daily Prophet and needed to know what was happening. Her eyes filled with tears a bit as she allowed for her Owl to fly off.
Walking to the abnormally large window she sighed. It was rather chilly, but it felt refreshing against her skin. She was wearing a pair of jeans and a tank top, and her hair down and straight. She had plans to meet the other girls down by the lake but currently all she wanted to do was sit up here. She decided that since almost no one went up to the Owlery that she would stay there until she could calm herself.

Scott headed towards the owlry with a letter addressed to Delaney. He knew they were over but she still required him to send a letter every now and then so she knew he was alright. It had been almost half a year since they broke up and Scott knew it was time to move on noting in the letter that this was his last one to her.
He ran up the steps and opened up the door. "Elidor!" he called and a fairly large barn owl flew down to greet him. "You know who this goes to," he said putting the letter in the small pouch tied to his leg. With that, Elidor flew off. Scott sighed and put his hands in his pockets. He looked around and noticed a slytherin girl standing barely 5 feet away from him.
"Oh, I didn't know anyone was in here," he said, slightly embarassed.

Diana didn't look back but sighed as she heard someone enter. Clearing her tears quickly she still wasn't looking back. She could not allow someone to see her like this. God forbid the rumors that could rise, she thought to herself. She did not and could not show the other girls that she had a weakness, it just wouldn't be right, she thought to herself.
Then when the boy talked to her she took in a deep breath. "Oh it's alright," she said lightly. She wasn't sure if he was going to stay around to talk but it felt somewhat comforting. "So are you sending a letter to a girlfriend of some sort," she said lightly with a hint of her usual playfulness. As she turned around her crystal blue eyes met his as little pieces of her hair fell onto her eyes.

Scott laughed, "Not exactly, more like an ex," he replied. His eyes caught the girls and ge slightly blushed. Clearing his throat he looked down then back up at the girl. He noticed she was a slytherin with amazing blue eyes. Scott shook his head trying to get them out of his head.
He walked a little closer and stared out the window, "I take it you're not sending a letter are you?" he asked, hoping he wasn't being too nosy.

Diana laughed pleasantly when he said ex. "Oh..." she said lightly as her eyes skimmed over his. As she noticed that he was a Gryffindor she thought to herself. Well for a Gryffindor he is rather attractive, she thought with a little laugh.
When he walked over and looked out the window with her, she gave a smile. "Well actually I was... but it's just nice up here and so I decided to stay," she said lightly. It was partially true, the other reason being that at the current moment she couldn't allow too many people see her at her low. "Diana Fortuna," she said taking out her hand pleasantly to shake.

Scott smiled, taking her hand to shake, "Scott Brooks," he said, noting the playfulness of her touch. He bought his hand back to the window sill and stared out at the other students.
"This is a very good place to hide," he said, looking back at her, "Students tend to stay away from here. Maybe its the smell of the owls...." he said with a smile.

"It's a pleasure Scott," she said in a playful tone. When they looked back through the window it seemed that her previous thoughts faded away. "Thank you..." she said lightly knowing that he would have no idea what she was talking about.
When Scott spoke about a perfect hiding spot she giggled lightly. "Yes it is isn't it?" she spoke playfully. "However, I am quite surprised I mean this room just smells delightful," she spoke in a joking matter. She couldn't believe she was flirting with a Gryffindor. I mean he was cute and friendly, and he did take her mind off her problems, but she was still rather surprised. As houses they generally didn't like each other, so this was different for her.

Scott laughed and turned towards her, "You've got to be kidding. The smell of this place is completly horrifying. It reminds me of the potions room," he said. He looked at her for a moment then back outside. He sighed, keeping a small smile playing on his face. He looked back at her, "Do you have an owl?" he asked looking at her curiously.

[lol my dear I think we are in the papers.. lol.. read Lady Whisledown's section.. it's quite hilarious..]
Diana giggled lightly as she heard his words. "Potions?" she said shaking her head. "More on the terms of C.O.M.C.," she said giving him a light wink. Then as he looked outside, she as well did the same. The day generally seemed to be getting better as it went on.
When he asked her if she had an owl she nodded. "Well it's more of a family owl," she said lightly. "I have a cat," Diana's eyes met his once more. "Her name is Pearls," she said shrugging a bit. She wasn't exactly sure what made her call her kitten Pearls, but it sounded different and interesting just like the appearance of her kitten. "And is that your owl?" she asked talking about the owl that had previously flown away with a letter.

Scott nodded with a smile, "Elidor. I've had him for..." Scott thought for moment, a funny expression painted on his face, "two, maybe three years." Scott laughed, "I can't exactly be honest because I honestly can't remember when I got him. He's a good owl though, and fast."
Scott smiled, "So what inspired you to get a cat? I mean, I have nothing against them, my sister has one, but I just don't understand why people like them so much. They just lay around and eat and lay around some more." he said jokingly.

Diana's eyes met his as he spoke. "Oh.." she said listening intently as he talked of his Owl. He seemed to have much affection towards her and it was nice to see people like that. "She's still a youngin," Diana spoke softly. "My family owl has been around for 13 years," she said laughing a bit. "She's fast but mentally a mess," she said shaking her head. She would always be caught playing with mice before she ate them. It was rather a demented site, but what more could you expect from her being around her family.
"Kitties do not only do that!" she said with her mouth half open and playfully. "They are great companions," Diana loved Pearls and he was, if it was possible, more troublesome than herself. "It all depends on the cat," she said truthfully. "They tend to take on a similarity to their master, just like every-other animal.." Diana spoke lightly but with a half-laugh. "But I must say mine has a knack for finding trouble," she said thinking about the other night. Diana spent all night chasing her around for Pearls was attacking the first years again, although she had to admit it was funny, she didn't want to get into much trouble for it.

Scott laughed, "Well if you're cat is trouble, that must mean you are as well. I'll make sure I'm not around you anytime at night. Who knows what kind of trouble you'll get me into," he said jokingly.
Scott sighed, "At least you know you'll always have a friend with pearls, especially when there's no one you can trust around," Scott looked outside, "Me on the other hand, I tend to not care what I say or who I say it around... I get into a lot of messes that way," he said with a laugh.

Diana turned a bit pink in the cheeks as she spoke with Scott. "Who said I'd allow you near me at night," she said winking at him again. "I mean.." Diana got closer to him and whispered in his ear so that only they could hear. "The stories that could arise from that encounter..." she said lightly then moving herself towards the window again she smirked. "Are you sure you would be ready for that," she said biting her lip lightly as she viewed the scenery.
"Well now that I completely understand," she said lightly. "I say what is usually on my mind as well and trust me I've gotten some serious enemies that way," she said lightly. Then thinking of something that brought some curiosity to her she looked back at him. "What's on your mind as we speak..." she asked with playful eyes.

Scott cleared his throat, "Would you like the truth or some made up twisted version of it?" he asked with a smile, "I'm just kidding."
Scott looked at the window sill and pushed a few rocks out of the way, "You want to know what's on my mind," Scott turned towards her, "Well, I'm thinking that I'd like to get to know you more," Scott paused for a moment then smiled, "And as for a slytherin, you don't seem so evil," he said with a laugh.

Diana looked up at him and giggled. "Well I can always find myself liking the twisted version better," she said lightly. "What would this twisted version involve," she asked as her blue eyes met his.
When he said that he wanted to get to know her better she giggled lightly. "You're much too sweet, I can only question why?" she said playfully. However, when he said that she wasn't evil like most Slytherins, Diana smirked. She grew closer to him and whispered into his ear lightly. "Dear... you have yet to learn that portion of me..." she said making space between them and winking at him lightly.
