When she sat on him, he smirked. "You know Maeve this may not be the right thing to do," he said winking at her. "It may all get too complicated," he laughed lightly.

"As a sister... not even my cousin has sat on my lap like this," he said referring to them. "What kind of sister would you like to be," he smirked and shook his head. "I can't make things less complicated..." he said honestly. "Life unfortunately gets more complicated as you move on... but you still have two years at this school so chill," he said in a stern tone.

Maeve playfully glared at him. "Not right thing, huh? What could possibly get complicated over this?" she questioned, smirking back at him.

She shrugged. "Well, I'm different, so I want to be that little sister you always want to protect from the big mean idiots." she explained like a child again. "And must life get complicated? Why can't Merlin just leave me alone for a bit and let me get used to what's happening now, then come back later and try to kill me with more complex things?" she rested her head on his chest. "Those are two years without you here, and that's a bummer. How can I chill?"
