Maria walked quietly into the library. For a moment she stood and looked around at all the shelves and all the books. She hadn't been studying much lately, and really didn't want to. She wandered over to a shelf and started to walk beside it, occasionally pulling a random book out of the shelf and looking at it. After going all the way down the shelf doing this and not finding any books that looked interesting, Maria sat down on the ground with a sigh.

Scott was walking up and down the isles as always looking for a specific book. He noticed a Hufflepuff girl sitting on the ground and decided to see if she needed help. He grabbed a random book and headed over towards her.
"Hey," he said with a smile, "you look a little lost. Need any help?" he asked, kneeling down.

Maria looked up at the boy and giggled a little. She had never thought that she might look lost. Of course, sitting on the floor of the library wasn't a common activity. "Umm...no I'm not lost, just a little bit bored is all. I was trying to find something interesting to read and couldn't, so I gave up and sat down," she explained. "Oh, by the way, I'm Maria," she said figuring it was the polite thing to do. "And thanks for being willing to help me."

Scott laughed, feeling a little embarassed. "Scott, and I'm sorry. It's just that usually people sit at the tables, not on the floor," he said running a hand through his hair.
Scott stood up, "I'm sorry if I interrupted anything," he said with a slight laugh.

Maria could feel herself starting to blush a little, just now realizing exactly how strange sitting on the library floor was when there were plenty of tables and chairs around. "Oh, no. You didn't interrupt. I was actually quite bored. Although now that I think about I don't see how sitting on the floor helped that at all," she said standing up.

Scott laughed, "Well if you'd like, I could point out a perfectly clear table for you. That is if you plan on doing any work otherwise feel free to sit on the floor," Scott said, putting his hands in his pockets.
He looked around, "About that book you were looking for, need any help with that? I'm pretty good at finding interesting books. I mean, I tend to spend alot of time in here when I have nothing to do. The silence helps me think," he explained.

"Hmm..." Maria thought for a moment. "Well, I don't have any work that I'm actually going to do, so if you have nothing better to do than help me find an interesting book, I would greatly appreciate," she said with a sweet smile. "However, I would completely understand if you would rather not."

Scott smiled, "I have all the time in the world... well right now I mean," he said holding out his hand to help her up. "What kind of books interest you?" he asked curiously.
((sorry so short... couldn't think of anything))

Maria took the boys hand and pulled herself up. "Hmm..." She looked around for a moment thinking. "I don't know. Umm..." she said trying to think of what kind of book she wanted. "I like a wide variety books. And I'm not sure exactly what I want at the moment. Perhaps this is why I had a hard time finding a book. Sorry," she said blushing. She couldn't believe she couldn't even decide what kind of book would interest her at the moment.
((No problem))

Scott laughed, "Well, what kind of movies interest you then? If you like horror movies, you might want a thriller or a mystery book. Romance movies, you go for romance novels," Scott explained.
Scott shrugged, "I guess it all depends on you," he said with a smile. "I, for instance, like a good mystery book every now and then."

"Okay," Maria said biting her lower lip as she usually did when she was trying to make a decision. "Umm....I like horror movies, so a good thriller book would be nice, I guess," she said with a nod of head. "Yes, a thriller would be perfect." She looked around the library and then back at Scott. "So where to?"

Scott motioned for her to follow him, "This way," he said as he weaved through shelves and shelves of books. Scott stopped for a moment to remember where the thrillers where then started walking again. A few moments later he was standing in front of a large bookcase filled with tattered books of all sizes.
"Here we are, Miss," he said in his best butler type accent.

Maria laughed at his butler accent. "Thank you," she said the laughter in her voice. She looked at the huge shelf full of different books. She let out a sigh as she realized that now she would have to decide between the books. This would have been a lot easier if she weren't such an indecisive person. She grabbed a random book looked at it for a moment, then shook her head and put it back. Grabbing another book she started seriously considering it.

Scott smiled when she picked up a book he was familiar with, "That's actually a pretty decent book. The only problem is, you never want to put it down. I mean, it's not jinxed or anything it's just really interesting and you always want to know what's going to happen next."
Scott looked at the other books and recognized a few more that he's read over summer break or during holidays.

Bella, for once without her sister, had ventured into the library. She was bored, and the little known fact was that she loved to read. Anything. She most loved to read history books, unlike most. She absolutely adored History of Magic class. She just couldn't understand why everyone hated it so! As she skimmed the isles of shelves of books, her eyes fell on something that completely brightened her day. Scott. But, Bella saw that he was with someone else, and didn't want to butt in, so she decided not to approach him, even though she'd desperately love to talk to him. She turned and headed down a different isle, in hopes of finding a book she'd be interested in.
