Loren was vaguely aware of her body moving without her permission, although no thought of protesting entered her mind. This was what the man wanted her to do, of course. Her torso was thrown forward so that her arms hung lamely in front of her, her hands swinging in by her toes like a rickety puppet that was no good. Her limbs did indeed feel like they were on strings, and although she knew she should question this madness, her impaired rationality due to the spell told her to just do as he said.
Draw your wand.
Loren's hand twitched to obey. But something was wrong - she did not have her wand. Therefore she could not obey. Draw your wand! Loren's doleful eyes set upon her master. I can't, she wanted to say, although she couldn't as that was not what she had been asked to do. He wanted her to draw her wand, but without a wand her body went rigid, confused.
Professor Hubbles released the spell, and Loren cried out, dropping to the floor heavily as her limbs were no longer held up by magic. Her head swam with a thousand feelings and colours and as she stared dumbly at the dark ceiling she felt a foot on her ribs, pushing her over. Professor Hubbles was glaring down at her with an ugly face, his fists clenched at his sides. 'I don't have my wand!' She shouted back furiously, trying to scramble to her feet but finding that her knees were still impaired by the curse. 'AND I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU JUST DID THAT!' She added, truly wishing she had her wand now.

Dan continued to glare down at Loren trying to understand what he had just heard. He ignored her other shouts and cries, still focusing on one certain part. She did not have her wand. He could not believe it, there seemed no logical reason why any wizard would walk alone without it, particularly with the ministry about. Dan was almost spitting with anger that he had attacked an unarmed student.
“You stupid, stupid girl. There is no reason good enough to not have your wand on you. Unless you have some amazing talent of casting spells without it, which as your Charms teacher I know you do not.”
Dan suddenly felt a twinge of guilt, you never should attack someone who has there back turned or is unarmed it is the moral thing to do. Taking a deep breath Dan turned on his heel and began to walk off leaving Loren lying on the floor. If she was lucky someone may find her in the morning…but then she would blab. Stopping dead Dan held up his wand in the air and closed his eyes, then in a morbid tone, knowing he was going to regret it he summoned Loren’s wand.
It seemed like an age, waiting in the darkness for any sign of her wand, he refused to look at her and his rage was passing slowly. Finally the sound of wood hitting wood was heard and Loren’s wand flew into Dan’s hand. With another deep breath and a twinge of regret Dan turned around once more and headed for the girl.
“Here”
He threw her wand straight at her, it skidded just short so she would have to stand up to get it. It would also give Dan time to think about what he was going to do next.

Loren tried to reach for her wand, but found that she would have to get up. Giving both her thighs a solid punch in an attempt to bring them back to life, Loren stumbled to her feet, shuffling over to her wand a snatching it up greedily, immediately pointing it at Professor Hubbles. What the hell is he playing at? she thought, full of panic. First he uses an Unforgivable on me - now he's found me my wand?!
Loren shouted at him, calling him something that was less than civil. 'You're in for it now, Hubbles!' Loren hissed, griping her wand tighter as her palm became sweaty. Her clothes and hair were disheveled from were she had been thrown around, meaning she looked quite a mess. Professor Hubbles had barely moved and he was already winning. 'No one can get away with that you just did, especially not a teacher on a student. Just wait until I tell Darrow!' She said with malevolent mirth, a nasty grin appearing on her face.
To her fury Professor Hubbles seemed oblivious to all this, too deep in thought to care about what she was saying. Growling loudly Loren changed her footing, viciously shouting a complicated incantation. Immediately a jet of hot black air flowed from the end of her wand, hitting Professor Hubbles directly in the chest, the black substance burning his skin wherever it was exposed.

Was Dan being noble or just plain stupid? That was a question that passed through his mind over and over again. He gave someone there wand back, who quite clearly would use it against him. Many would argue it was Karma, some saying it was a way of Dan relieving his guilt. What ever it was it was a very painful mistake. As the black substance spread onto his hands and his neck and his face he could only feel pain. His first thought was to drop his wand, but then the little bit of sanity Dan had kicked in and his hand clung onto his wand through the searing pain.
Dan was soon on his knees, he could feel blisters appearing on his arms and his skin going red raw on his neck. Something needed to be done. Racking his mind for counter jinxes he could find nothing. The pain was so great that he could not even tell which hand his wand was in. He would randomly shout out incantations in-between the groans of pain. It was not until he opened his eyes did he realised that the black substance had gone, although the pain still lingered. His skin was bright red and all over his hands and arms blisters had formed, it would be a very difficult story to create when entering the hospital wing like this.
Fighting the urge to rip off his own skin Dan slowly stood up, looking at the ground as he fought of the last amounts of pain that still ran across his flesh. Grimacing he looked over at Loren and shook his head, he wanted to start shouting and telling her she had made the wrong choice but Dan knew no words would come out, but more groans. A deafening silence fell onto the corridor as the two people looked at each other breathing heavily.
“What do you expect me to do? Apologise or shake hands? I hate you with a passion, almost to the extent that the pain I suffered then was worth it. However it is not worth risking my job. I am sorry that you will lose this memory.”
Dan pointed his wand at the Ravenclaw and gave a small smile or regret. “OBLIVIATE!”
A blinding flash shot out of the end of Dan’s wand and light up the whole corridor, before plunging back into darkness.

Hang on a minute... where am I?
Loren blinked dumbly as her eyes adjusted to the darkness, a random, inexplicable flash of light having blown white spots across her vision for a few moments. 'Ow...' She sucked in air through her teeth, her head hurting somewhat. The last thing she remembered was that she had been on her way back to the Ravenclaw common room after spending the evening with Dax... yet she felt as though she had spaced out for a few minutes. Well, she must have, since she was now standing in a dark, unfamiliar corridor with Professor Hubbles looking at her darkly without any recollection of getting there.
Glaring at him, Loren cleared her throat awkwardly, wondering how long he had been watching her. 'My curfew isn't for half an hour,' she informed him defensively, for he was obviously about to accuse her a loitering. 'It's only just gone ten - what on earth...' Loren glanced at her watch, shocked. Twenty-five minutes past ten? But she had only just left Dax! How long had she been day dreaming?
Loren raised her hand to scratch her head in confusion, only to poke herself in the cheek with her wand. 'Oh, I thought I'd lost it!' She exclaimed aloud, immediately blushing as Professor Hubbles smirked, if not a little smugly. Running her hand through her hair she found that it was a terrible mess - knotted with bits of dust shedding off into her shoulders, as if she had been rolling around on the floor. Something was definitely odd about tonight.... maybe she was just tired? 'What are you looking at?' Loren snapped impatiently, Professor Hubbles still standing before her.

As the light around them slowly went it took Dan a while for his eyes to adjust, the pain from his burns was still bringing water to his eyes. Quickly wiping them with his sleeve he noticed that his little spell had worked. Loren did not know where she was or why she was there, and to Dan’s enjoyment she was still angry to see him. He tried his best to look offended after Lorne snapped at him, Dan but on his best confused face while fighting back the laughter. The look on her face was a picture, he wished dearly he had a camra so he could frame the look of surprise mixed with rage on her face. With a reluctant sigh he thought he would have to do it again another time and maybe show the picture to Dax.
Snapping back to reality Dan looked at Loren and gave her a toothy grin before slowly walking towards her. “I was about to ask you the same thing Miss Hayes. I was trying to do a complex spell on my tea pot when I heard a loud noise above my office. Distracted my tea pot exploded, thus the burns, and as I ran to the aid of the pupil I found you, out of bed after hours, hair a mess and wand out. I first thought Dax would be around but you seemed quite out of it I wondered if you had been on the fire whiskey. I think you best tell me why you are here, so far from the Ravenclaw common room.”
Dan’s voice dripped with mockery and he rolled his eyes and sighed deeply at the correct points. He was rather pleased with the speed and the standard that his excuses had been created, although the part about the tea pot was rather dubious, he hopped that in confusion Loren would skip that point and as normal focus on herself. He was rather enjoying himself looking at her blank face but he needed to play along to his story, he began to tap his left foot in inpatient’s and folded his arms, wincing slightly as pressure was put onto the burns.
