Marishka had just about had enough. For the last hour she had been sat in an empty Charms classroom surrounded by books in an attempt to catch up on all her important work, when the sounds of several people bickering outside had slowly grown louder in last fifteen minutes. Do people have nothing better to do?! she thought to herself furiously as she tossed her quill down, storming to the classroom door and yanking it open.
'Do you mind?!' she shouted as she march up to the little group, which seemed to consist of several familiar Slytherins and a Gryffindor. They seemed to be teaming up on her slightly, but her expression was nonchalant. 'Either hex her into next week or take it outside - I'm trying to work!' She rounded on Nathan, placing her hands on her hips as she glared up at him. 'Where were you this morning? I waited nearly an hour at breakfast, but now I find you here, talking to a Gryffindor?' She tutted. 'What have you become, Nathan?'
She turned now to look at the others, whom she knew to be called Amadeus Ragni and Angelina Carson. 'Surly you appreciate a Slytherin a work? I can barely hear myself think.' She remarked testily.

Angelina laughed. She didn't even know this girl, and she already liked her! This girl had guts! "Sorry 'bout that. Just teaching some putrid first years their places. I'll try to keep it down. I'm Angelina Carson." she extended her hand with an arrogant smirk.

Marishka had expected them to either shuffle off to retort snidely, but it seemed the Slytherin girl had the decency to respect a fellow Slytherin. The girl, who said her name was Angelina - how ironic, Marishka thought - extended her hand in greeting. Marishka glanced back at the classroom for a moment before firmly grasping Angelina's hand. She gave a wry smile.
'First years?' she asked, glancing up and down the corridor to see none in sight. She assumed Angelina must have already sent them on their way. 'I take it the brave little Gryffindor was trying to put you in your place?' She turned back to the girl in question, immediately recognising her to be the Gryffindor Champion, Jac Biggerstall. She shared Angelina's smirk. 'I'd save your heroics for the tournament, Biggerstall.' Marishka folded her arms, looking Jac up and down with a raised eyebrow. 'Although I expect you'll be out by the first task. I'd say you don't have anything on Zachary Daniels...'

Angelina scoffed. "No. It was Amadeus trying to put me in my 'place' that boy has no clue who he's messing with! And you're right, a Gryffindor has nothing on a Slytherin."

Mirshka tossed her hair over her shoulder, eying Amadeus. As she had left the classroom she had caught a little of his babbling, realising he was Italian. 'Turning on a fellow Slytherin in front of a Gryffindor?' she joked, stepping up to the boy and inspecting him. He was only slightly taller than her.
I've wasted my time long enough, she decided, knowing she should get back inside the classroom before some dopey teacher came along and locked her out. She patted her hip only to realise she had left her wand in there...

Angelina glared. "He has no right to call himself a Slytherin. He has brought shame to our House." she stated coldly. Angelina looked at Marishka, "Meet me in the common room?" she asked.

Marishka crossed her arms, regarding the others with a critical expression. She would have preferred to go back into the classroom and carry on with her work, but it was quite obvious these lot were more than happy to stand around in the corridor bickering at the top of their voices without any regard for anyone who was actually smart enough to possibly pass an exam. Typical mudbloods!
'Certainly,' Marishka informed Angelina as she walked back toward the classroom to collect her things. 'I'll see you there in about an hour. Maybe then we can have some peace.' She barked the last word, eying the others icily before disappearing back into the classroom, the door banging shut loudly.

"what is going on here?" bella demanded. "surely no slytherin on slytherin fighting. youre supposed to be cunning to be in our house, yet you are letting a gryffindor stand in the center of you unscathed. im appalled."

Jac was absolutely bewildered by the scene going on around her. She just laughed quietly behind her hand and watched the Slytherins go at each other, a wicked twinkle in her eyes. Another joined them, she seemed to have been disturbed by the noise the Slytherins had been making.
"Me ...?" she half breathed, "I'd hardly call what they're doing talking and even more so that they're taking to me." She couldn't believe how fickle Slytherins were. So proud but happy to cut their own down, even in her presence. Blooming mudbloods! she mused.
The other one left, not having taken any more cognisance of her then to assure her she would fail miserably in the Tournament. She strongly doubted that, she had given Daniels a run for his money on more then on occasion and come out on top but she decided to keep this to herself.
Then another joined them. Have I turned into a Slytherin magnet? she gasped and shrugged her shoulders, raising her palms to the roof. "Beats me," she said, "but it does make me laugh." She smiled at the new comer and turned back to the group, still laughing behind her hand.

"FINE!" bellowed bella. "ILL DO IT!"
bella whirrled her wand around at jac, and wailed "tarantallegra!" jac stared at bella, amazed that she would actually do anything. most people assume that slytherins are all talk. it is these kind of people who find themselves doing a type of quick-step jig in the middle of a corridor full of purebloods.
bella laughed her high, cruel, merciless laugh, as jac got ready for retalliation.

Jac could not believe her luck, here she was, surrounded by Slytherins who didn't know her from a bar of soap. The next thing she knew the new comer had drawn a wand on her, yelled a jinx at her and so unorthodox as to attack an unarmed opposition.
Jac was helpless to resist the jinx on her legs. They began to dance wildly, Jac couldn't stop and she couldn't help but laugh. She loved dancing and went with it. She danced around the new comer singing, "de de de de de de de!" She began to tap the tips of her shoes to the floor and clap her hands. "Come on," she laughed, grabbing the girls hands and dragging her into that dance, "join me!"

As Elijah rounded the corner into yet another corridor - having just finished a private tutoring session with Professor Vickers in the Divination tower - he was so immersed in the book open in his hands that he walked straight into the Slytherin girl marching the other way. All the books and papers that were tucked under his arms flew into the air, scattering about the two students in a complete mess. 'That was my fault, sor - ' Elijah stopped in mid-sentence as his gaze set upon Jac dancing around a group of Slytherins.
What's she so happy about? Elijah thought with a puzzled frown, but as he saw the wand gripped in the Slytherin girl's hand, he realised Jac was obviously not doing it of her own accord (but making the most of it obviously). 'Oh, very clever.' Elijah shook his head at the Slytherin girl become roughly pushing past her and walking over to Jac. He gave a silent wave of his wand, relieved as she was finally able to stop waltzing around... of course, being Jac, she didn't stop. 'Nothing can get you down, can it?' He laughed, patting her on the shoulder. 'Did she do that to you?' He thumbed in the direction of the Slytherin girl.

bella watched as the jinx she put on jac was removed by one of jac's fellow gryffindors. bella answered for her.
"oh, im mean on principal, especially to gryffindors." she turned on heel, tossing her hair, and turned the corner.

Jac laughed wildly as the Slytherin broke away from her, obviously unable to handle a little confrontation. That what you get for going against the Almighty Jaccy Wake-ya off-ya-feet! she thought curly. She began to waltzed around the others present when Jac saw Elijah coming towards her, leaving the new comer with scattered paper everywhere.
He undid the spell and Jac waltzed around them a little more before stopping, leaning on Elijah's shoulder. "Thanks for that one," she panted, mock wiping her brow, "I don't mind the dancing but wow! What a work out!" She laughed, looking around at the dumb struck Slytherins. Slytherins are easy! she thought.
She sighed as no one laughed and face Elijah when he spoke. She looked over there shoulders at the Slytherin as she commented, "and then she didn't want to join me!" she said in a mock unset tone, pouting. "Of course, it didn't help me that I forgot the counter curse."
