Andie sighed as she realised that the professor was right. Unfortunately, she had not been paying one bit of attention to where she was going as she was walking along looking for troublemakers, and now, she had no clue where she was. She was a bit reluctant to mention this to Professor Hubbles however. It looked like she'd have to though. If she wanted to get back to the common room. "Uh... professor? Try not to freak out or anything, but um... exactly, where are we?"

Dan continued to follow Andie as she slowly walked down the corridor, however she seemed to be having the same problem as he did. Dan could not help but give a small chuckle as Andie then turned around and told him also she was lost. A smug smile formed on the professors face and he placed his hands on his hips.
“How on earth did you become prefect Miss Riley? Your head is not screwed on properly, you seem to be stuck in your own little dream world forgetting about what your meant to be doing and where you are.”
Dan was trying to avoid the question of where they were, because he did not really know. He had followed the sound of Andie’s voice and did not look where he was going. However he was not going to let her know this. Letting his smile vanish from his face Dan began to march forward letting Andie follow him.
“The main staircase is this way.”
Dan really did not have a clue, but it was better then standing around in a cold corridor not knowing where at all they were meant to go.

Andie laughed. "Face it Professor. We're hopeless!" She followed him toward where he said the main staircase was. "I honestly don't know how I became Prefect." she admitted. "To be honest, I'm not really sure if I deserve it." Andie yawned. The hour was late, and she was quickly becoming tired. She started to lift her wrist to her eyes to check her watch before remembering that Muggle things such as electronics, like watces perhaps? Didn't work in the castle. Stretching and stifling another yawn, she turned to Professor Hubbles. "Do you have any idea what time it might be?" she asked. "I am exhausted!" she sighed, leaning against the wall. She looked around tiredly but didn't really notice anything familiar. Of course that was probably due to the fact that she was falling asleep on her feet... literally!

Dan frowned slightly when Andie mentioned that they were both useless, he really did not like that word, or being called it. Just hearing the words being said began to make him angry and his blood boil, he needed to prove himself. To show that he was not useless, he had his pride to think about and the pride of Hufflepuff’s. Clenching his teeth so not to shout Dan took a deep breath and closed his eyes to regain his composure.
“First of all Miss Riley you must learn never to call me useless. Second of all Headmaster Darrow and Professor Starsmore must have had a dam good reason to pick you to be prefect. Thirdly it is late and you have no reason to be tired. And finally it your fault we have no clue where we are. So you are going to bloody well get moving to get your cloak and finish your duties. Do you understand me?”
Dan’s eyes narrowed and focused on Andie, he knew he needed to calm down but she was being so unreasonable, in his eyes. With someone with a clear view of things they would notice that Andie was simply tired, but Dan saw it as a front. With a deep breath to calm down Dan continue to walk down the corridor trying to find the main staircase, the castle was not that big. Noticing that Andie was still not moving Dan spun around and almost growled at her.
“If you do not move I will carry you. Now come on!”

Andie's eyes flew open. "I said we were hopeless, not useless. Use your ears for once would you? And think about what you're going to say before blurting it out!" she snapped as she strode angrily past the professor. "It's late, I'm tired, and you are well on your way to grinding my last nerve." she said irritably. "And trust me, if you think I'm cranky now, just wait till you tick me off!" she paused, "Oh and another thing, you really need to learn how to control that temper of yours. Those little outbursts and tantrums are from charming." she called back over her shoulder with a smug little smile. She knew it'd probably get her in a lot of a trouble, but at the moment, she really didn't care.

She was contradicting him, she was actually trying to defend herself with an argument that was worse then his in the first place. With a groan Dan stormed after Andie and reached out and grasped her hand, spinning her around to face him. There faces were only a few inches away form each other. Dan could feel her breath on his face, and the light shinning in her eyes, had he been in any other mood he may have found his situation slightly moving but he was angry now.
“Hapless, useless same definition. You were still referring to that fact that I was incapable of finding my way around the castle, and I do not take offences like that lightly. And then you have the cheek to tell me to control my temper, I know I have a problem Miss Riley and surprisingly or not I do not need a Ravenclaw to point that out to me. Especially a Ravenclaw who does not know when to shut up!”
Dan’s voice raised into a shout at the end, his voice echoed around the corridor and some of the portraits on the wall gave a shout of annoyance because they were woken up. With one last glare at Andie he let go of her arm and barged past her into the dark of the corridor ahead.

Andie let out a snarl of frustration and anger. Did that man not listen to a word I said!? she thought angrily, she stalked up to Professor Hubbles and moved to block him. "Um, excuse me? I did not say that you were hopeless! I said both of us were hopeless! Key word there, being 'both'! Maybe if you had actually listened, you would've picked up on that little piece of information! And you know, maybe you should start thinking about other people besides yourself! I know that you don't like it when people tell you that you can't find your way around the castle! Guess what, genius? Neither can I! But at least I don't stand in the middle of the corridors and throw a hissy fit like a big overgrown baby! You know what, that's exactly what you are, an arrogant, self-absorbed, egotistical, overgrown baby! No wonder you're always getting into arguments! It's your fault!" She hissed through her teeth. Andie took a deep breath, and continued. "And furthermore, just because I talk alot, does not mean that I don't know when to close my mouth!" With that, she whirled around and stalked off, not even bothering to look back. What did she care if she left him standing there? He was a grown man, he could find his own way around. Besides, he deserved it. All she had done was make a small joke, and what did he do? Blew it totally out of proprtion. That's what!
