Thom grinned smugly as Zachary as Alluran and Bailey proceeded to embarrass him. His expression soon dropped however when the professor seemed to change his mind on Thom staying, claiming that it would be best if he left. 'Oy, what d'you mean, leave?' Thom glared at him. It had obviously been his full intent to depart, although he did not much appreciate being told to do so.
'Who are you anyway?' Thom stared at him, trying to place the familiar face.

Dan could not believe the attitude he was getting off this boy. Putting his wand back into his robe pocket to prevent himself from using it Dan walked down the steps and looked Thom straight in the eyes.
“I’m your head of house. My name is Professor Hubbles. Now lets see your mind tick. I reliable source told me your clever, wonderful and funny. So far I have seen the funny, as they muppets love you.”
Dan continued to look at Thom with baited breath wondering how long it would take him to work out who he was related too.

Upon the mention of the word Hubbles, Thom's inside squirmed uncomfortably, and the tips of his ears tinted an unslightly red. 'Hubbles?' He said a little hoarsely. Thom could now see the small resemblence between this man and Girty. A torrent of possible relations swam through Thom's mind. Was he her a cousin? An uncle? A sibling? Her FATHER?
'You must be relate to Girty,' he said with a weak smile. 'Yes, she and I are very good friends. Such a wonderful girl. How - how are you related exactly?' He asked, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

“Good friends…really. Nothing else? Should have expected really, you and Novella, who I see is not here. As the only female is Bailey as well I know who my own cousin is.” He looked around and gave her a wink and a quick smile, before looking back at Thom.
“No, I think at one point in the forest you told Girty that she was like a sister to you.” Dan broke off and gave Thom a rather vicious smile. He ignored everyone else around him and leaned right up to Thom so there noses where almost touching.
“And imagine how angry if someone hurt your little sister. See Thom, Girty tells me everything”

Bailey had still been slightly aggitated by Daniels' earlier comments and had momentarily lost the thread of what had been going on in the conversation.
The professor present uttered her name, catching her attention once more, glancing at his face, she suddenly realised who the new head of house was. Bailey smiled back at dan, she had not seen her cousin for many a year, and had not had chance to speak to Girty recently enough to know that dan was intending to teach at Hogwarts.
Before she could strike up a conversation with her cousin, he had continued shouting at Thom about Girty. So decided to talk to him later on after the environment had settled down slightly. She stood and watched the unveiling argument.

Striker stood still, his eyes darting back and forth between Prof Hubbles and Thom. He felt his insides squirm, as he hesitantly laughed.
'Can we just... y'know, leave this for another time and just cease all hostilities?' Striker said, looking away as he spoke. He laughed again, before coughing and shaking his head, acting like he never spoke.
