Alright, so De Conti is wrong and you're right. However, De Conti did not call Americans rude and stupid. This is where you jumped to conclusions.

I probably sound very patronizing, but really, I'm just an innocent bystander who has observed a tongue lashing, and is voicing my opinions.

I don't know. Also being a bystander here, I agree that she didn't say anything about being rude or stupid, but I think the stupid comment was implied. And I don't know if Adriana was being patriotic or just angry at being grouped with someone who it doesn't seem she agrees with at all. That's just my opinion

Merely commenting on the geography. Canada and the US make up the entirety of North America, Mexico and area are known as Central America, and further south is another continent called South America...if you take all those places and combine them you get the Americas therefore one could assume that even though I am Canadian I am also American jsut as the French are also European because live on the European continent. However many people overlook that fact and just call folks from the United States American hence if you went to say England and said you were American, they'd assume you were from the US....Maine is just a random state they chose. And I'm not insulting the entire population of the United States and neither is the song; I'm not some uneducated Canadian who knows nothing about the US....we learn more about your history then that of our own in Social Studies. I'm also not condemning the entire population for the idiocracies of few; just makes a stronger argument when you do...I like hyperboles...lol.

Sorry I started a big argument as that was not my intention. I understand politics is a banned discussion on this site so I take a vote and say we end this now before we just get angry and hate eachother.

I love Moulin Rouge!! It's pretty much one of my favorite musicals of all time....especially when Ewan sings....it's joyous
I never used to listen to country and then it kind of got forced on me...it starts to grown on you...and now it's rpetty much all I listen to...lol

Moulin rouge is fantastic!!!! ewan and david wenham in one film :') tis just amazing, tis a rather cute film, and ewan has afantastic voice, and his version of your song is so much better than Sir Eltons. i listened to that version the other day... tisn't a patch on ewan hehe!
ah fair enough then, i'd probably like country if i listened to it no doubt lol!
