"Look," he said. "There's nothing out there. You just probably went through a traumatic experiance, and now you think the forest is evil or something. Look, I'll prove it to you." Fin strolled into the forest, and looked back at A.J. through the trees "Oh Mr. Evillllll! Come out and get me man! Come on, I'm right here!" he yelled.

Echo. Reverberation. Pulse. The voice of every tree speaks for Erich. "I could have sworn I heard you call. I hope I wasn't mistaken because- " A hand on Fin's shoulder. "Mr. Evil has arrived." High laughter like wing beats.

Fin started away from the hand, spinning around to look wildly for its owner. "Who are you?" He asked the man, his own hands beginning to shake slightly. Maybe he should have payed attention to Ashlee...

Tears swelled up in Ashlee's eyes. "FIN!" she tried to step into the forest but her body wouldn't allow it. "PLEASE! GET OUT!"

Far away in an armchair next to her fire, Apronia looks up from pouring over old records of Gameskeepers of bygone days. The whispers of the trees flicker at the edge of her hearing. She tries but cannot make them focus into clarity. They whisper of evil and innocence, this she knows, and try to warn her. She does not understand, and so she tries to forget, not to listen.
