Alondra looked down amazed more than frightened. She sat down in the grass and simply touched the plant lightly and it backed off. "Interesting." she said as if to herself. "May I ask the spell used?" To her it was like she was in class. Her question probably might not be answered but she didn't mind. She was kind of clueless to the situation.

"We are bored," he intones flatly. The vines snap forward, winding themselves around her hands before cracking the bones they've engaged. "I must say I expected more resistance from a killer. I suppose things of that order are the only thing worthy of your interest. Its an addiction they say." There is a wind, and absolute gravity makes itself known, pressing her upon the ground, and there is the pull of the forest, its fearful tides. Alondra magic drains from her splintered leg like a rusted faucet.
"I am the spell, mein engel." His voice presses against her windpipe and Erich whispers the impulse to claw out her own eyes directly in the clotted stream of her consciousness. "I wonder how your lungs would fair as my kite?" he asks as an afterthought and looks past the three of them, deeper in to the forest's density.

Kandler growled more and shook hsi head. "Leave us be!" He hissed. "Do it now or you will regret it!" He felt the pain grow more. His eyes focused on Erich. "Please..."

Alondra became angry regaining some strength and she pushed him away, her eyes flashing red. Normally it was a warning for her brothers but she never knew the effect it had on others. There wasn't much she could do now. It would take her at least 2 days to get her powers back and it would be painful.

The Long Descent:
The woods are a whistle, and I am worse. Leaves crumble under their own weight: this is the sound of laughter. I am laughing. I am laughing at you.
I was water once, I suffered the electrical impulses of the German government for two world wars. They knew me as a ratio, the weapon, machines failure bloomed when my sight was turned to their warboats. My mind was not a mind and my body remained the sea.
Oh Langley. We were just children then.

Erich, thinking he sees someone he remembers in seven of three hundred forty six possible futures, turns his face to the clear palate of the sky. The ground heaves beneath him though, its murmurings are unsteady vibrations that stroke the miles and treetops. He considers each of them, the werewolf, the killer, and Lisa behind them, held in place by the forest and its constant hold.
"If you survive them both," he says loudly, a hint of suppessed laughter causing his illusory teeth to rattle. "Tell them all that I will be among you soon." Erich smiles kindly at Alondra and Kandler's distorted visage then, "The brave are usually the first to go, in my experience." He runs a translucent fingertip across her lips, "I expect once I'm gone there won't be much else for you to do but tear one another apart." He takes a small step back from them then, his form already dissipating in to leaves and old brickdust, rainfall and sediment. All three can see through him, out in to the dark forest beyond his silhouette.
"I'll save you both the trouble." Erich stands as he is and considers again the sky.
***
A memory lives. (Oh. Langley.)

Kandler felt his knees his the ground and his fingers claw at the dirt under him as the growls raised into hackles. The changing was becoming faster and more pain came at the second. Why had he been so careless to come out and not check for signs?

She couldn't kill him right then and there like she would have normally done from impulse of being a fighter. Instead she took a deep breath to calm down and she glared in the direction of the man who had been there.

She stood back, watching them. Her eyes had widened as Kandler's transformation slowly took place. Werewolves, she knew, were not merciful creatures once fully transformed and she pushed the urge to run far away down to the pit of her stomach. The fear knotted there, along with the instinct to run, but instead she stood in the forest, in the midst of it all, her feet rooted to the ground. She swallowed.
A killer and werewolf. Looking up at the unforgiving sky, Lisa closed her eyes.

He shook and gave a yell of pain. "Run!' he hissed dangerously trying to contain the werewolf. Trying to give them any time to get away from him. To climb into a tree. To do something.

Kandler's sharp voice cut through her reverie and she looked at him with fright, though her eyes held concern. Then, nodding, she tried to move, only to feel her muscles pull to no avail. Clenching her fists, she looked beneath her to see spindly vines making their way across her feet, trapping her behind the shaking werewolf.
Pulling her legs once more, she looked toward Kandler, her body shaking with fear. Remembering her wand, which was still held tightly by her fist, she pointed it at the foul plants. Their grip only tightened as more trailed across her feet immobilizing her.
"Incendio!" She yelled, before a flame ruptured the vines. Retreating, they freed her, the forest letting out a cry.

Erich, who has manifested beside Lisa, whispers huskily in her ear. "Now see, why didn't they think of something like that?" The trees shed their leaves and there is rainful for their bare branches, the shudder and unearth themselves in anguish.
He appraises Kandler's pained expression, not bothering to pull back when he swipes at him. The claw moves through what should be Erich's rib cage with ease. "You brother would be so proud. He was a hero himself, or you remember him that way at least."

A pale hand gripped Lisa on the shoulder and she gasped, too bewildered to move. "I think it's time to leave, dear." Professor l'keitha glared at the other two students, "Mr. noron! For shame! I thought a 7th year would be more responsible. And Ms. Redson, I had hoped that such a precocious and seemingly aloof young lady would know better than to throw herself so blindly into danger, despite warnings from a fellow student. True heroes know when to place their egos aside."
Kandler let out a groan, suppressing the sharp pangs in his back as his bones tried to shift. The professor's lips tightened into a thing pink line as she held out her wand. "Lisa, Alondra, get out of here." Erich's shifting form smiled as it glided towards them. "There is more evil here than anyone, even myself, can fully understand. A werewolf you can run from, but the lingering haunting of poisoned memories can destroy more than a few souls..." Professore l'keitha looked straight at the forest's spirit, nodding slightly, a mutal acknowledgment of territory passing between them.
Immobilus!
Kandler froze, his transformation slowing down but still raging within. "I'm sorry, Mr. Norton. Let's get you back to your Head of House and some wolfsbane..."
With her wand guiding Kandler, she began retreating, eyes never leaving the specter.

"SHUT UP!" He bellowed dangerously at Erich as his paw swiped at him. He couldn't take it. No one was going to speak of his brother. No one would get away with it. Kandler's eyes flashed with anger and a bit of insanity. He looked to the Professor shame filling him quickly but anger still there. "I do" He tried to explain. Once the spell hit him he held his chest. "I didn't know of it Professor. I thought it was tomorrow." He staggered upright. "Professor...no one...knows...of my problem..." He winced slightly.

A feeling of relief washed over her and she looked toward her professor gratefully. The knot of fear that had settled in her stomach released itself as she felt tears well up in her eyes, wanting to cascade down her cheeks. The very cheeks that the forest had tainted with their touch.
She moved toward her professor, her wand still glued to her palm as she stared at the spot Erich had first appeared. The feeling of his breath in her ear, carried forcefully by the wind, still lingered on her face causing her to shudder. The pull of the forest was stronger than ever, the decaying leaves calling out to the oblivious students.
Letting her Professor guide her, Lisa felt safe for the first time that night. Though, her chest constricted as she thought of Kandler, the pain he had gone through. The secret he had kept hidden. Looking at him closely, she realized, it was her secret now too.
